  1. 1.5 oz. seems like a lot to me. Is that per 16 oz. of wax or 14.5 oz. of wax? IF you don't mind sharing? Do you mind my asking what kind of wick you use?
  2. I use 415 and I have tried 6-8%. I used to use 464 and couldn't seem to get a throw in that either.
  3. I just can't seem to get much HT in soy. They all smell so great.....Pumpkin Gingerbread, Pumpkin Cornbread, Apple Gingersnap, Honey Gingerbread, Apple Butter Pumpkin Pie....Can I ask what percent FO others are using?
  4. Candlemaking Supplies: Glass Candle Jars & Lids: Mason Jars & Lids: Antique Replica Wide mouth Mason Jar Lids
  5. YES!! That is a great description....I LOVE IT!
  6. Grandma's Cupboard is the best cookie/bread/baked good I have ever smelled! I smell spice, along with the Oatmeal Raisin and some vanilla sugar cookie, maybe? If you are not into bakery, this is not for you. If you are....this is DROOL worthy! VERY strong at 4-5 % in soy. "The warm aroma of spiced oatmeal raisin cookies baking in the oven."
  7. Yes, agreed....Apple Clove Butter (KY) from RE/AH is really strong....great seller
  8. My "Must Haves" from AH/RE: Grandma's Cupboard--AWESOME! If you are considering this one....you have to try it...yummy! Raspberry Tomato Leaf Oatmeal Milk & Honey Green Tea & Cucumber Bonfire Bliss Apple Clove Butter Apples & Oats--One of my personal FAVES!! Toasted Marshmallows Pink Lilac & Willow Reading everyone's suggestions & getting my order together....great post!!
  9. Thank you so much for your replies GOOD NEWS! I found the rust colored ones at BCN. I really wanted black, but better than nothing. For anyone interested, they do carry them in zinc as well, but they are currently OOS.
  10. Not sure where to post this...... Does anyone know where to find these? I used to get them at Filmore Container but now they only carry the regular sz--not wide? Candle Soylutions has them. Anyone else, please and thank you????
  11. Does anyone know where I can find these besides Candlesoylutions? They used to carry the widemouth at Fillmore....now just regular.
  12. WSP's Sage & Cinnamon is SUPER strong in 415 & 464....@ 6 %
  13. Can I ask what percentage of Oregon Trails "Bug Off" you use in your lotion bars? I ....I ordered 16 oz. of the oil & it has been sitting on my counter for about 3 weeks now....
  14. I personally love the idea of & the looks of reed diffusers but they are hit or miss, if you ask me....I have made some that throw for months and months and made others that I can't smell unless I stick my nose directly into the bottle of reeds. I have tried making my own with DPG. I have also ordered reed diffuser base from a few companies and & mixed my own. Right now I have one in a small hallway bathroom that I made with Candle Cocoon "Fairy Dust & Twinkle Toes" (Grapefruit Mix) 50/50 & I can smell it at the complete opposite end of the house....YUM! I hope it has longevity too!! At Christmas time, Frasier Fir is my FAVORITE FO & I ordered Northstar's pre-made diffuser oil. It is AWESOME!! One reed diffuser smelled up the entire house! BUT it evaporates fairly quickly. I loved it so much, I just kept refilling it. I ordered a few other scents of theirs and I could barely smell them. UGH!!!! Here's my question....Can anyone suggest any citrus scents that you have had good luck with in the reed diffuser area? I am really fond of lemongrass and I also LOVE berry tangerine. Any suggestions?? Thank you!
  15. Thank you for the help on the bags also!! I can't believe I never knew there was a difference?!!! Anyone care to share how they package their (scalloped tin) tarts & where is the best place to purchase the bags? I usually package mine stacked 4 per bag & tied with some twine & a kraft label. My 4625 is on the way.....it won't be here until Monday. Those of you who mix it with 415, do you prefer 50/50 or 70/30?
  16. Thank you so much Karen & guess what....I haven't used (tested) all the waxes I have listed either. Hehe! Now THAT'S bad! Talk about biting off more than you can chew! I thought I was satisfied with the KY wax & I have used it for quite some time now, but you know what they say--the grass is always greener on the other side. It just seems like it can be better.... 4794 makes the most sense to me. That's where I think I will start--I appreciate your help--thanks again.
  17. Hoping for some suggestions..... I am not happy with the scent throw in my tarts anymore but I have too much KY wax left to add it to my wax collection that I have bought/tested/& tossed aside. Any thoughts on what I might be able to mix with it, for better HT? I use scalloped tins. Also, I read somewhere on here that the bags the tarts are packaged in may be "sucking the FO out of the tarts", (for lack of better words). Please help me in distinguishing the "right" bags from the "wrong" bags!! These are the waxes I have on hand: 4794 415 444 C3 1288 Mottling wax CBL 129 Candlewic Palm 1, 2 & 3 J225 Clarus Statis 3078 SP Wax (Crafter's Choice WSP) Ecosoya PB Pillar Soy Ecosoya CB135 IGI 4633 Will any of these mix with the KY wax for better HT? If not, does anyone see a nice combo they wouldn't mind sharing? After reading up, I need more wax like I need a hole in the head, but I think I'd like to order some 4625 and try mixing that with 415 next.....after I get rid of this KY wax..... Thank you in advance for any insight you might be able to share.
  18. Do you add Peak's UV inhibitor after wax is melted or before? On the jar it says to add it after but I always thought it was supposed to be added right in the melter?
  19. Oops!! I did mean Tenessee Candle Supply. Sorry for the confusion.... I agree- I don't think they will be replacing them. I've been waiting for those elusive back-in-stock emails for far too long. Hopefully, Elements or Aroma Haven will pick up their oils if they do go OOB. They have some great oils! I did find Cinnamon Bread Pudding at Aztec. Has anyone tried that?
  20. Does anyone know of a good replacement for any of these? Cinnamon Bread Pudding This Old House Gramma's Kitchen Dried Apple Wreath Please and thank you!!
  21. Thank you so much for that suggestion! I just might have to give them a try. Any other favorites from them that throw well in soy?
  22. Does anyone know of any dupes for this? I REALLY need some & they are sold out.
  23. Thank you. I have tried combos with no luck before, but I think it's time to try again!!
