Thanks for the thoughts gals. I do love the dyes (at least when they have droppers! lol) maybe I'll pick up a few chips just to play around. At the moment I've been pouring single pillars to perfect my technique, wick, see if I like the FO, etc. But there have been a few that I thought were 'sweaty' from too much FO so I have remelted and added more wax- and ended up with a color that was closer to what I wanted!

I have been using liquid dye in my pillars and electric candles. I like the ease of using it, but sometimes even 1 tiny drop turns out darker than my 'vision'. Do the dye chips give you more control on the final color?

The cranberry marmalade is now on the for sure list! lol The others sounds awesome too - I missed the carmelized pralines on my first go around.... I love FO threads! lol

I am looking at ordering a few things from CS for the first time, and lord knows I absolutely have to order a few fo samples everytime I buy supplies (absolutely NO willpower or self control over here! ) So what is your CS must have FO (I use CB 135 for my containers) The cranberry marmalade and Hansel and Gretels House look yummy. I also need some 'spa' type fragrances and am looking at Asian Amber, Rain Water - ah heck there are about 20 I could easily order! lol

I hadn't heard about an Az gathering yet -that would be fun, do you have the info? You are probably going to take I-17 up to Sedona, but I think you can go a longer/'scenic' route through wickenburg, etc and then I would be on the way. I am out near loop 303 if that gives you some bearing! lol

Thanks Sharyl! I had to remelt and repour because the first attempt cracked But I did and left it overnight (patience is a virtue, I know lol) and it came out much easier today! I need to take your class (too bad the shower is this weekend!) Pic is posted in the gallery.

Ok, so here it is. The first attempt cracked, so I remelted and repoured last night. This one actually came out of the mold, woohoo! lol The picture was a little dark to start with. It's not fantastic, but I guess not so bad for my first ever.....
