  1. She asked for a bag or box, but I didn't think about the shrink bands! I've never used them before, but I should be able to figure them out. I can at least throw the option out there. Thanks for the measurements! I am having a hard time visualizing putting the jars in the bag. I don't want to order ones that are too small, but I don't want them huge either! Here are some of my options: http://www.papermart.com/templates/09-0-23.htm#GO_09024 which has several sizes - I am hoping the smallest would work but I've never bought organza bags, so not sure what they mean by a gusset. http://www.nashvillewraps.com/ShowSku.ww?Class=039&Type=441 are some otheres. The smaller ones say 4x6, but they look so small that I can't imagine they would work. The larger size at the bottom looks like it will fit as they have a candle in there, I am hoping those aren't too big. Thanks for the opinions, I'm off to price shrink bands...... THanks again!
  2. Hey Maggie! I guess I should have explained further lol. - I am ordering the lids, but my customer wants to put them in a box or bag, she doesn't want her customers messing with them. lol, but she's the customer sooooooo. She said she'll have one out for display and smelling, but wants the rest sealed up.
  3. I am looking at different packaging ideas for an 8oz Madison Jar. I have not ordered the jars in yet so I don't have one in front of me to measure. Fillmore says they are 3.5 in high and 3 in in diameter. So far the boxes I have found are 4x4x4, which might leave too much room inside. I am thinking about using the organza sheer bags. I have found a few I like. One is listed as being 3.5 x 5.5 and the other is 6.5x4x7. Any of you with a madison laying around that could tell me what would work best? Thanks!! Jen
  4. I like B the most, but I think it is a little too thick, so I voted for C as it is the easiest to read. I do think having the leaf as a background would be really cool. I use a pink & green combo on my site as well (bit darker' hue' though)
  5. Those turned out great! I really like the colors, very 'springy' lol.
  6. I still consider myself a newbie, but when I first started I bought the majority of my supplies for Peaks. They do have kits (as do most of the major suppliers). I looked at what was in the kit and then bought the supplies seperately because I already had a few of the items. You will need to decide which wax you like and go from there. I did A LOT of reading on this board before I placed my first order. I am still reading all the time and ordering/trying new things from several suppliers. Good luck!
  7. I looked through the tkb site and didn't see it, maybe I am blind lol. milan has some, out of stock though -but may work for her when it gets back in stock. Coastal had a powdered format, so I'll pass along the link to her for that as well. Thanks for the help!
  8. Hey Everyone! I have a friend of mine who sells mineral makeup. She is looking to add some soaps to her site. She prefers to work with other work at home moms when possible, so I told her that I would ask around..... If you make soap and offer them wholesale could you please send me a pm (or post here) and I will pass along information to her! TIA
  9. Thanks! I was looking at the clear labels also, so that just might work. I currently use the waterproof but am changing my bottles and do't know that I want white labels anymore....
  10. I have read that many people use the Krylon Spray to make their labels waterproof..... I was wondering if that will work with any label? I am thinking of using the brown kraft paper type labels on some of my bath/body stuff...... Thanks!
  11. yeah, doesn't seem like something I personally would want. But she's the client..... lol
  12. Thanks for the link! It doesn't look like they have what she needs, but there is some really cool stuff on there! I want to eventually add a mineral makeup line and that gives me a good starting point. I don't know a lot of mm suppliers - there is Monave, but they seem a little spendy..... Any other wholesale mm suppliers out there that have a quality product?
  13. I had a potential client ask me if the wax that I order for candles can be used for a paraffin facial? A salon that she worked at back east did these. She tried to describe the process to me... lol I guess it is similar to using paraffin in a manicure. Thought I would check here! Thanks!
  14. A good friend of mine is trying to find the supplier for something called a mineral makeup primer - "mixing medium for mineral makeup" Any ideas? TIA!
  15. Thanks so much!!! I will go check those out
  16. My bug guy uses it to kill scorpions..... lol that's all I know about it!

  18. My sister loves apple candles and I am having a hard time finding one that throws really got in 135. I have tried apple jack and peel from Millcreek and golden apple from C & S. Seems that I have read that the apple jack and peel is so/so from most suppliers. She doesn't care for Winter Candy Apple (which I love lol). So who has the best Apple? Thanks!
  19. Those are gorgeous! I love all the colors.
  20. Those are gorgeous! You have inspired me to go play with my heart mold lol
