  1. did you check out the ingredients? looks like she made a meringue with water, meringue powder, sugar and coloring. guess that would dissolve quickly in the bath - but I'd think it might be sticky. I like the whipped soap idea better. just a bit on top could almost be a one-use soap...
  2. This recipe ROCKS! I took some to a Farmers Market. This lady bought 2 - one for a friend, one for herself - walked away to another booth and put some on there. Came BACK to my booth and bought another tube!
  3. Infinity Packaging sells to companies like BCN and they have the square mason jar... check online to see if there's a warehouse in your area, they have several. (used to be Richards Packaging, but they changed their name) http://www.richardspackaging.com/nearloca.html eta: I buy from the Des Moines location because I can save on shipping charges. min purchase is $250
  4. I'd be worried just by the name... remember the old video game "Lemmings"? they follow each other off a cliff because they can't think for themselves, they just follow the leader.
  5. I have customers that really like it, but there's a fuel smell unless it cures for about 6 months.
  6. What's the max. weight on it? My scale (in addition to being FO-pockmarked) doesn't go as high up in weight as I would like. :undecided
  7. looks yummy! one of these days I'll try the cream soap thing - when I find the time - haha
  8. Thanks! That's what I thought on the salt - although I didn't know if using the sea salt would be different than the table salt. have you tried it with sea salt?
  9. HA - I'm already thinking I need to try again this weekend (if I can wait that long) and either lessen the amount of salt, or try it with table salt. maybe not with all CO too... hmmm, so many choices.
  10. with a salt bar you add equal amount salt (un-iodized table salt, or in this case Dead Sea Salt) to the soap at trace before you pour into the mold. equal to the oils, that is. you have to use at least 50% coconut oil to get good lather. I forgot the last post I saw of this type of thing said table salt, so I'm waiting to see how things go with the DSS. :rolleyes2 hopefully the end result will be just as good as some of the others I've seen here.
  11. I love how the salt crystals look close up. It's like a quartz stone. very cool.
  12. it's a salt bar; sorry it's so plain... 100% coconut oil, DSS and scented BNL Olive Blossom I can't believe how quick it went. I was all prepared for a long ordeal. Next time - color!
  13. The only time I noticed a problem recently was right after their convention. Everyone there was ordering new stuff to try. THEN they had problems with the website/cart for a couple of days too...
  14. could it just be the time of year? I made a cocoa butter/coconut oil thing recently, and couldn't get it to harden at room temp quick enough for my liking. I'd put it in the fridge or freezer, but when I brought it back out into room temp (78*) it would still melt a little. didn't have this problem in February with the same combination
  15. One of the best self-teaching books for the Adobe products is 'classroom in a book'. comes with a cd with training files. truly great! you can get it at most bookstores (Barnes & Noble, etc)
  16. the gel isn't tacky at all when it's mixed with the lotion. I scoop out a little of each out of the container to use.
  17. Brambleberry has some specifically for bath bombs.
  18. I mix BCN 1 part cherry and 3 parts lemon pucker for Cherry Lemonade. yummy!
  19. Sorry - I was gone @ the BC convention... Got back and my package was waiting for me... BUUUUTTTT... It's only HALF of what I ordered. yeesh. figures. I sent her another email notifying her of the problem. after I had read this thread before I emailed her - didn't get a reply, but at least I got something in the mail... :rolleyes2
  20. Here's a couple on this link - hope one of them is what you're looking for... http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17687&highlight=body+mousse
  21. Dang. wish I'd known this earlier. I'm waiting for a small order now too...
  22. I finally got mine to work perfectly too. I now have a dehumidifier doing all the time in my work area/basement. So far, so good...
  23. because of this post I checked locally to see if there was a wine making supply store in the Des Moines area. There is, but they want $15 for a POUND of CA. OMG!!!! At least with bulkfoods.com they include shipping charges, and it's still under $3/lb. yikes.
  24. I've seen different colors at SKS http://www.sks-bottle.com/340c/PlasticBottlesByColor.html
