  1. I am very pleased the way this turned out and I love the smell since I LOVE BLACK LICORICE
  2. My boss is coming over this weekend as she wants me to teach her CP. She wants to use orange blossom water in the recipe. I know to use it instead of the distilled water in the water and lye solution BUT has anyone ever used this or rose water and if so do you have to chill this orange or rose water before like you do goat milk soap in order to minimize the scent in this case? Also if you have ever used this does it do anything when added to the oils as in fast trace?. Thanks for any advice you can give me.
  3. I would post a pic of the pumpkin soap out of the bag BUT I took them to work today and they all sold . Going to make another batch this week, but a much bigger batch. This was just a small test batch. One of the ladies at work I wanted to give her son a free pumpkin soap to try but when Janet smelled it she said "No way is he getting this, this one is MINE, lol. Her son is my "kid product tester". Janet tells me she use to not be able to get him into bath or shower, always an excuse but now.... She said about 3 weeks ago he took a 45 minute shower and she yelled to him, WHAT ARE YOU DOING and he replied, I am washing the bottom of my feet with the "chocolate" soap and I smell like chocolate, lol. He told his mom that he is my number one fan!
  4. Wonderful soaps. I am drooking over the chocolate expresso and that pup is sooooooooo cute, how can you be mad at that? Such a cute face.
  5. ABSOLUTELY BREATH TAKING, they look so beautiful and I love the names you have chosen.
  6. Your pictures are really great and your product looks WONDERFUL
  7. Here is a pic of some packaging I am using. The 3 tiered boxes is going to a client who wanted a birthday gift for a friend of hers - it contains an assortment of soaps, some of those exfoliating fruit slices I made, some fizzy milk bath, lip balm. The "pumpkin" cello bags I got fromt he $ store and they contain my pumpkin soap of course
  8. Yes it is!!! I was having withdrawals!!! The melt and pour is fun but its just not CP and once you do CP, after first starting with melt and pour, well I for one find it difficult to go back to melt and pour.
  9. After doing melt and pour with my grandaughter I finally got to start my CP soaps. Here is one scented grapefruit. It was suppose to be pale yellow and pink but as you see the dreaded mauve/purple monster crept in but that's okay it still looks pretty.
  10. I hope not, she is only 5 years old!!! I also made a couple of scented bears today, first time doing that. They were fun and turned out great but holy hannah, what a mess I made in the kitchen, lol . Everything went well except my grandaughter was VERY upset that I was putting the bears in the hot waxl :undecided . She kept on saying "awww, poor bears..... I am so itching to get some cp done but I am babysitting again tonight so probably won't get to it till tomorrow. The melt and pour is fun but it's just not for me, except those exfoliating fruit slices, those are a keeper to make and oh I made those "fall" glycerine guest soaps and those are pretty neat. Will have to post a pic of those and they are cute but still not cp which I love the best!
  11. Prepared this for a co-worker of mine. It contains from left to right, a pink scrunchie, lily and ginger fizzie milk bath salts, blueberry fruit exfoliating soap, orange fruit exfoliating soap, front soap, (color is not good in pic) a berry soap, back left, brownie soap, and right to it, Fall Harvest soap.
  12. Made this with my grandaughter. She had fun making it. If I was to make this again I would ensure to use a smaller scunchie next time.
  13. Glad they worked out for you. I didn't use goat milk, so I didn't have the problem with the smell at all. Yes they don't color bright but I did make some and used the "neon" shade of green and they came out darker than pastel so that worked well. Let me know when you try one out what you think. . Oh and your sand castle analogy, that is EXACTLY what I was thinking when I made them!
  14. I am holding off doing batches of CP this weekend but was itching tonight to do something!!! So I had some melt and pour and decided to make these.... I made the blueberry scented ones you see here, some lemon ones, some lime ones and some orange ones . They smell WONDERFUL!
  15. Well happy to report that the scent and look seems to have been a bit hit. I only made a small batch, 12 bars, and they all sold the minute I got to work
  16. I did a rebatch today of a brown soap I had, which I had scented at the time with a vanilla FO and it went brown on me. So I decided today to rebatch it, it was a soap I made about 3 months ago. Anyway I GOT YOUR TWIN TO YOUR SOAP, lol. I scented it "mocha latte" but added some cocoa powder as well. My son came into the kitchen and said "you made brownies" and proceeded to grab a piece and was about to put it in his mouth, ROFL. I stopped him in the nick of time, too funny.
  17. I LOVE the color!!! Very nice soap. I am going to try pumpkin soon. I have some pumpkins in my garden and plan on trying this . I am going to add some spices, like cinnamon, nutmet, just like a pumpkin pie.
  18. "OK, so the additional oils neutralized the "sticky" feeling?". No there is no chemical reaction but it helped in getting rid of that "rubbery" feel that I find many glycerine soaps have. I can't stand that kind of thing on my skin when I am using soap.
  19. :yay: oh these look soooooooooooo good, making my mouth water
  20. Both soaps are BEAUTIFUL The second one for me is a minty green color with beautiful swirl of aqua/turquoise. I LOVE it!!!!
  21. Being that Makayla is only 5 and is always wanting to help when I make soap I went and got some melt and pour, clear and opaque glycerine soap. Having read here so much about this kind of soap I decided I wanted to add some things to it, so I added some coconut oil and some grapeseed oil. Makayla and I decided to use up some of my remnants from other soaps I had made, extra pieces of cuttings, so we had orange, green, very dark brown. So we grated pieces of these and placed them on the bottom of a square heat proof pan. Now what to do.... we melted the opaque glycerine first and poured in over the mixture of colored pieces... then we decided to melt the clear glycerine and add just a tinge of color, then added some more pieces to the top and then we put some bronze mica powder on top and brushed it around a bit.... We also scented it "Autumun Harvest" which is an AWESOME scent and here is what we got . Makayla is thrilled and so am I. I tried a small piece of this and it doesn't feel sticky like most glycerines. It is very nice and lathers beautifully I guess adding the coconut oil and grapeseed took care of that, and I like the look and it smells divine!!!
  22. love it!!! Yes I love the pink and chocolate. I just ordered a few days ago the aqua/turquoise and chocolate ones for my line
  23. Your welcome. The batch without the coconut oil were just as hard and I think I prefer it without because I found with the added coconut oil a bit too oily, mind you the oil sinks right into your skin and makes it baby soft. I have to share with you. The ones with the rosebuds I imbedded... I gave to a co-worker of mine to try. Anyway, she and her husband were painting all weekend and tired as all get out and he told her I am going to take a nice long bath... she said to him, hey try what Danielle gave me, that should make you feel better. So, she is in the livingroom and he takes his bath and the next thing she hears him yell, ALISON, I have rose buds in the bathtub!!! How cool is that!!!", ROFL. Nice to know a man who is secure enough in his masculinity to not mind taking a bath with a milk smoothie with rosebuds . He loved them! My grandaughter tried the spearmint ones I made on the weekend, a beautiful teal color and she proclaimed..."Grandma, they smell so good and the color of my bathwater is BEAUTIFUL"... this is a 5 year old little girl, going on 55 I think.
  24. I just made a second batch and did not have enough sea salt (fine) so I went half and half (sea salt and epson salt) and this works just fine too! Now I just took a bath with the one's I made last night, tinted teal with spearmint EO. Even though they smelled super nice, and still smelled very pleasant in the water, perhaps upping the amount of scent.??? just something to think about, but I guess it depends on the EO or FO. Also, this is a good way to use up samples you get to see if you like the scent, mind you it won't tell you if the scent will "seize" in CP soap or HP soap. Also the very first ones I made the other day I didn't put any coconut oil so you can ommit that. I put it in this time to see if it would make them even harder and that it did. I am also assuming that you can use buttermilk powder or goat milk powder. As I said experiment and have frun!
