  1. "Green smell" actually gives me a good notion. With the leaves having that slightly waxy texture, do you bruise them so they'll infuse better?
  2. Wow, that looks & sounds wonderful - and "Winterwoods" is a fantastic name! What fun to get hubby involved - maybe he'll be more open to feeding the soaping addiction ("join ussss..."). Nice tray, too. BTW, what on earth is holly like as a scent? It never occurred to me - I'd only thought of it as a decoration before now.
  3. Calling all soap/B&B veterans! How much inventory do you usually plan to bring to a smallish show? For ex, do you figure so many items per expected head count in attendance? I realize one wants never to run out of stock, but I do need to plan the things that are better when as fresh as possible. Any tips will be major appreciated - the date of our boutique got moved up by almost a month, and I'm feeling a little panicky.
  4. Possibly it's one preservative and they're listing the INCI description. For example, my preservative of choice is Liquid Germall Plus, as it's paraben free and suitable for just about any product, and its INCI is Propylene Glycol (and) Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate.
  5. Wow, those are amazing - please do tell us what you use for those intense colors. I have to say my favs are the three last - stunning, all, and 3 totally different feels. The middle, btw, looks like a phoenix ascending into the sun, only cold not fiery. And I just keep going back to gaze at the coconut vanilla. Wonderful work!
  6. CBE - Yikes, how awful! I wonder what happened. This stuff is actually fairly dense, so I think we're safe this go round- (touching wood). Thanks all!
  7. Thanks! It's one of Fragrance Oil Heaven's unique scents , lovely fresh scent. Their description: Blend of green tea and willow combined with water-cress, ozone, orange flower, jasmine and cyclamen with hints of amber and cedar.
  8. Couple of items I'm offering at our holiday boutique. I'll be sending one or both to Angi's Home for the Holidays swap, seeing as that's what inspired the fragrance blends to begin with. First is a body butter with mango, shea, rbo. Scent is a blend of Almond and Holiday Candy fo's, which I called "Candied Almond." Second is a non-emulsified scrub, sugar and oatmeal. Named it "Homecomings" - blended Vanilla Bean Noel fo with valencia orange and nutmeg eo's and a smidge of Fresh Baked Bread fo. Really glad to find a use for the FBB - it's EXACTLY the smell of a warm buttered roll, and while I love that aroma, I have no desire to go rubbing a Parker House all over my bod. In the blend, though, it ties the others together with a nice, yeasty-warm base note. Thanks for looking.
  9. Sort of an atmospheric, zen thing going on here. Scented Willow Whispers, one of my favorites. Thanks for looking.
  10. They all look like something I'd want to use. I bet they're going to feel wonderful. That blue & white is really pretty, nice & creamy. And I want to take a bite out of those tan ones on top- I don't know if it's my monitor, but they look EXACTLY like the toffee brownies sold at a Starbucks by my office.
  11. Oo, those look terrific! I love the white frosting, too.
  12. Except for the lye-handling part (hate that), I'm with you. Love your soapies, all of 'em. I see the bunnies, the mooning hoochie, the face which does look like an angry bunny. I also see a couple of silt striders out of the Elder Scrolls III. (Computer game. Yes, all right, I'm a geek!)
  13. When I clicked your pics my computer had to start blocking multiple pop-ups, but I like what I can see from here.
