  1. For people who are looking for something cheap there are lots of "shop" programs out there that let you setup a webshop for really low prices. I may be making up fake places but there is ezshoppes.com ezstreetshoppes.com and mazboshops.com (which is one that I own.) You can get a full site for around $50 per year. I am actually thinking about making mine completely free but I just can't handle setting up one for everyone. You know how people are, they hear free and they want one wether or not they plan to use it.
  2. Sounds to me like she is wanting to buy a replacement part...not that she is expecting you to give her one. I would just explain to her that replacement parts are not offered for those particular warmers and that if she would like to purchase a new one then you will gladly give it to her at a discounted price.
  3. So, I have been (re) organizing my workspace. In my organization I decided the fragrance oils need a new spot. Most suppliers tell you to store your FO in a cool dark place. Does it honestly do any good for you?(I never keep it long enough to try it.) If it does help wouldn't it be true that if you kept it in a fridge it would do even better? I recently bought a mini fridge just becuase it was on sale and I am thinking that may be where my FOs go as long as it doesn't have an adverse effect.
  4. I would suggest getting payment upfront. Then there is almost no way you will run into any problems. Wait for the check to clear before ordering supplies or sending out products.
  5. Make sure you have enough to live on for at least 6 months put up. Never know what could happen.....
  6. Personally, I place all of my wholesale accounts' websites, phone numbers, and adresses on my site (altough the list is still in progress on my site....:embarasse .) I have the release written into my wholesale agreement.
  7. Definitely consider parking. Here is a prime example of what can happen. Two years ago we got a Super Walmart. Its the largest one for one hour around us . Of course more stores followed. Well, right at the corner of the Walmart intersection someone slapped up a BP. It did magnificent, that is, until they put up stop lights and turned that area into 6 lanes. Now, you can get in to the BP but never get out so...no one even goes there. Just something to consider.
  8. Honestly, no one here will be able to give you accurate prices. They probably won't even be able to get close. With the fluctuation of real estate prices from place to place, its just impossible to tell. As far as what to carry. I honestly feel that you should carry other things than just your handmade B&B. Depending on the way you market your items you could do something hip and trendy. I would say gift items would be a good thing to do.....t shirts, purses, jewelry. Maybe that helps.
  9. I have not tried the Bedtime Bath from CandleScience but I can attest that FOH's is really great.
  10. The one with Kiss on the side of it is awesome. I like them both but those red and oranges just pop on that grey.
  11. Great!!! I am glad they are working with you. Hopefully the second printer won't be a dud.
  12. Are you guys talking about the Primera LX400? I am so envious. I want one so bad but I just can't afford to chunk out that much money on a printer. On another note, if I bought one and paid well over $1,000 they would be refunding my money.
  13. Durn, I caused the pictures to dissapear by asking for them to be reformated....lol....all my fault, I take the credit.
  14. I would buy the jar. Also, if you can still edit your post, go in and put the pictures one on top of another.
  15. Most large chains clear out all canning supplies after the canning season is over....
  16. It happens. Of course Walmart bales them up but all of the other grocers.... none which you probably know such as Goodhope Supermarket, Vowells, SuperValu, Piggly Wiggly, Winn Dixie...they all place theirs is a storage shed type building and you can come and pick them up for your use. What ever they have left over when the next shipment is due, they incinterate. Everything is not the same everywhere you go. Just because your Walmart has a green sign does not mean that the one here is not orange...(just an example)
  17. So far, no. I have a few that I packaged about two months ago that still look great.
  18. Thats fine. It is also rare for a 17 year old to be doing this so people also assume I am much older than I am.
  19. You don't really know that they even hit the dumpster. The grocers around here open the boxes, place the product on their shelves and then place them in an area on the side of the building for people to use for packing when moving, shipping, etc. I can understand you alls point but I am just saying, I really could care less when it comes to someone shipping my candle supplies. I mean, most of my supplies are in bags or are protected by their packaging anyways. Its not like they placed a slab of was in a maxi pad box without plastic around it. Maybe you should be worrying more about whats on the outside of those boxes and what those suppliers and even the manufactures are doing in their packaging process, not their use of used boxes. JMO....
  20. He....lol.. Your friend who has a plumbing business should be able to help. If not, ask a smaller (non chain) grocer or hardware store. They might order it for you in full cases.
  21. I am sorry you guys feel that way. I agree they could be slightly more choicey in their box choice but they are ulitmately keeping another cardboard box out of production.... Even if it is a penny penching thing...its a good penney penching thing. If you bought gas that smelled bad when you burnt it but it got thirty miles per gallon more than what you get now for the same price, you could care less what others thought or atleast I could .....same principle, if I can get a box for free instead of paying 3-$10 for one, I really don't care what is on it. Think the amount of cardboard that would be saved if every business did this instead of buying a new box or having a new one made....
  22. I personally would be glad to get that box. That is one less that will go into a landfill or be burned. They probably just get them from a local grocer or supermarket and use whatever shap and or size works.
  23. Only advice I can give you is try it out in the shipping calculator. I would imagine that shipping it all in one box would be the cheapest but shipping in two or three would make handling easier.
  24. That is really expensive for lye IMO. I paid 18.49 + 2.00 handling fee for 24lbs of the rooto lye. I get it from my local grocer at cost. She doesn't carry it on her shelves because of the laws but she orders it for me. Don't know what I would do without her...
