  1. These are really nice but VERY expensive... http://www.reusablebags.com/store/ecobags%C2%AE-reusable-organic-cotton-produce-sacks-p-747.html A few more... http://www.ecobags.com/Our_Products/Produce_Bags
  2. These may be too small... http://packaging-supplies.hubert.com/wicketed-soft-net-produce-bag.html There are more sizes of these... http://packaging-supplies.hubert.com/non-wicketed-soft-net-produce-bag.html Here is the stapler you are supposed to use... http://packaging-supplies.hubert.com/hog-ring-stapler.html Overall, you're looking at quite a bit of start up expense. You might shop around a little more because, IMO, Hubert is a little on the expensive side.
  3. Those are "jelly jars" but I'm not certain that everyone refers to that particular jar when they speak of jelly jars. Most canning jars state that they are candle safe on the flat that they are in (at least the mason brand jars do.) Try checking the sides and corners of the flats for something mentioning using them to make candles in. HTH
  4. I think I saw those exact containers at our local Dollar Tree. You could pick a few up to test.
  5. I think its perfect. Exactly what you need on your home page.
  6. I use soy wax and when the flakes hit the element it did smoke like crazy. After that first time I've never had the issue again. I just always leave a few inches in the bottom. It always melts that without smoking...
  7. I have not ordered but I will say that I have spoken with Tim and he has been rather helpful and eager to assist me in anyway possible.
  8. This should be what you are looking for. http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=login&p_lang=english&p_d=trmk
  9. ...or if you want to go the freelancer route, go to a reliable freelance website such as Guru.com or GetaFreelancer.com. I have used both with outstanding results. I just recently had a freelancer from Guru illustrate a full color childrens book for me. The lady did amazing work and manage to create 16+ illustrations in around 7-10 business days for no where near what the average illustrator would have charged. Best of all, this freelancer is known in the childrens book industry! Guru does not charge the person who post the job anything. They just take a percentage of what the freelancer is paid. GetaFreelancer, on the other hand, charges five dollars to post a project. They do, however, offer your first project for free and refund part of the $5 project fee on future projects.
  10. Look a little closer on the home page. Those bottles under "Colors/Dyes" sure don't have a Mr.Missy's label on them......
  11. Since this is a fundraiser, you might consider not selling them individually. You could try only offering them in sets of three or four. It has its ups and downs...
  12. I would keep fragrances to a minimum. Maybe 10 or so? I definitely think that having the buy 3 get 1 free would drive sales. It'll just come down to pricing/profit for you and the group.
  13. I have an account but I am not currently using it. I will probably start using it in the next month or so. They are a very large company and do processing for many hosting businesses so I would say they are trustworthy. They have a free "test drive" if you wanted to try them out.
  14. I know CDGcommerce works in the US. I'm not sure about Canada. Just thought I would suggest them to Jen because their prices are really good, IMO.
  15. You won't find anything for free (at least I don't think you will.) However, CDGcommerce.com has really good prices.
  16. You are very welcome. It shouldn't take too long. It will just depend on how much traffic you used to get. The more traffic you receive, the more often your site will be indexed. Try submitting your site at submitexpress.com (its free although you'll have to deal with a few newsletters that come through your email....but you can unsubscribe from them later.)
  17. You need to know exactly how many sales you need per month to make it worth it. Best way to do it is a quick formula. Consignment shops around here ask for 30-60% of the retail price so we'll say an average of 40%. So, you figure you'd be getting 60% from regular consignment while the rent based consignment gets you 88%. Regular --------Rent Based SALES*60% = (SALES*88%)-RENT Simplified you get SALES*28%=RENT So, if your rent is $200 per month with this place you'll need to make $714.30 in sales to make it more appealing than a regular consignment shop. After that $714.30 you'll see a dramatic increase in how much profit you'll make from the rent based compared to the regular. Example, if you had $1500 in sales you'd receive $1,120 from the rent based shop while regular consignment would only get you $900, a difference of $220. Hopefully this is helpful and not totally confusing.
  18. Changing hosts is probably not what caused the issue. Your site being non existent for even a few hours would. If your site is indexed and there is nothing there, its going to hurt your search engine rankings. All you can do is make sure you pack your site full of key words and hope it goes back up the next time you are indexed.
  19. This a picture of what I do for mine. I just print on photo paper, cut it to size, stick an address label on the back with directions and warnings, and close it inside the clamshell. Someone in another thread brought up the concern that they may discolor but I have not had the issue occur. I still have the exact same ones that are in this photo and everything looks great. By closing them in the clamshell you are protecting them from damage and it looks alot nicer IMO.
  20. Oddity has some REALLY nice products. Lemme go see if I can dig up the link. ETA..Found the link. www.oddityinc.com Request a catalog----- http://www.oddityinc.com/OdditySubmit.asp?cSubmitType=WholesaleCatalog
  21. As I said before, you will be using the exact same software with Designer218 as you were with CYO so you should be good to go. I've heard nothing but good things about her services. You will be very happy.
  22. I'm gonna send them a link to this thread. Maybe the bad publicity will teach them that customer service should be one of their priorities. I really wish I had paid more attention to my invoices and what I actually received including their "out of stock" items. I was always so excited to get in supplies that I never paid attention to everything else. No telling how many fragrances I never received.
  23. That's my biggest issue... how do you run a web based business and not answer your email? It's like having a mail order company and leaving the phone off the hook...
  24. What!?! Now that is pitiful. Sending your kid to steal samples is bad but sending your kid to steal customers? lol.
  25. If you have an inkjet printer you can buy the white clasp envelopes and print your form on them. I can do it in my printer but I could see it being an issue for some printers.
