    Please do a search on Wellington in the forum. There are many posts about them here. My general thought, based on comments made on this board, is that they do not rate highly, although I have not personally tried their oils myself.

    Scent Works FOs are generally very good to excellent in Soy. Two of my favorites of theirs are the London Lemon Curd and Belgian Chocolate. Both throw very well, and the LLC doesn't get a fuel smell. Very nice!

    BCN has a WYW Mulled Cider which is lovely and throws well, although on the expensive side.

    Fairway Glass is wonderful to work with and they have warehouses in several cities. I'm fortunate enough to be about 5 miles from their Dallas warehouse and can pick it up directly from them.

    This information is straight off of the NGI website.. if they say there's only two in Illinois, I would tend to believe them.. it's their wax, they would know who they're selling it to.

    Burning Driftwood now. For me, it isn't strong enough to carry in my line. I also feel like it just makes my room smell musty. Too bad, I was really looking for a great throwing masculine scent.

    It looks very nice, however, the grammar and spelling needs some work. There are some typos and it doesn't flow well. Sorry to criticize but it's taking away from the professional look of the website.

    Oh boy, I wish I had seen this two weeks ago. Agreed.. NG is not close to Peaks. I've struggled getting a good throw in my wax blend with Peaks.. but want something that smells just like it. It reminds me of the smell when you walk into a Westin hotel. I guess I try Alabasters next.

    I haven't messed with GG in a long time, but when I was trying it, I would frequently get a "jump line" about in the area I think you're looking at. It seemed as though the glass glow pattern was "starting over". I never figured out why that was happening, but suspected that it had something to do with cooling from the top at a different rate than cooling from the bottom. Just a guess on my part though.

    I have tried a few and have not kept any in my line because they didn't throw well enough for my formula.

    I feel like I tested them all and for me it's CD wicks... but I am using my own blend of soy with some other products.. so not sure how helpful that will be for you. Best thing to do is test test test.

    I received my Day at the Spa and Driftwood today. Day at the Spa.. definitely get the citrus notes with a bit of a clean type scent as well. Nice out of the bottle. Driftwood. I'm not sure what to make of this one. It's very "one note" to me, unlike the Day at the Spa where I pick up a few notes. Definitely masculine but doesn't necessarily remind me of anything. I don't think that helps much.. sorry :-(

    Andi.. I use CB135, and that's what I tested EOs in. Wasn't strong enough for me. Just my research, feel free to take it or leave it.:smiley2:

    Not all scents that work in paraffin will work well in soy. You really have to try them all out and also experiment with different temps for heating wax, adding FO to wax and pouring wax to find something that works for you. It's a lot of work! But short answer.. if you get it right, yes, you can get good throw at 1oz/1 lb.

    Andi, there are many posts on this board about using EOs in soy candles, and the overwhelming response is that EOs don't throw well in soy. I tried it myself and gave up as I wasn't satisfied with the hot throw. Also, it's a very expensive way to go and you may end up pricing yourself out of the market if it's your intent to sell.

    When pricing your product then, are you adding in the cost of gas, depreciation on your car, car insurance and your travel time into your product?

    I'm not sure that that's a cheaper option.

    yup, a wet spot. I had good luck with some sticky wax that GL sold.. decreased my wetspots significantly.. but alas they are out of business, JBN didn't pick up the additive and I can't find it anywhere else. Currently retesting my formula.
