  1. IMO some are just personal preferences, like I prefer Peak's banana nut bread, but Just Scents' BNB is also great. It also comes down to how much you want to spend. I really love SweetCakes' Oatmeal Milk and honey, but it is much more expensive. There are other suppliers who have a great version as well, just not my preference. Best thing to do is get some sample sizes from a few suppliers and make your choices from there. Good Luck! Don't forget to try out TriState and Southern Scentsations as well. Both are awesome suppliers with some kick ass fo's that are affordably priced.
  2. Well I love Raspberry Cordial from Candle Cocoon, but I'm sure it is even more expensive than that from wsp. Have you tried out Peak's Wild Raspberry? I've not used it in product, but OOB it smells fab!!
  3. It would be more helpful if i knew how you were making the body butter. Most people heat and alternate whipping and cooling to avoid graininess.
  4. It's funny you should mention that. There was a wedding consultant/coordinator present and she was very excited about the rose petal soaps. We talked about wholesaling them to her in the future. She thought they were perfect for favors or to display in the restrooms at the receptions. I hadn't even thought of that!
  5. Yes, I know you're a packaging freak! LOL I got the boxes at a local craft store. They were relatively inexpensive. I painted them and then added the embellishments to the lid. I was quite pleased with how they turned out as well and think I'll make up some more for my next couple open houses.
  6. Shipped most of the heavier items fed ex and I did take an extra suitcase on the plane.
  7. I know you know Heather Just wanted to clarify for the new peeps.
  8. It doesn't help that the lady next to me is 5'1 LMAO
  9. This particular Open House was not publicly advertised. People were invited via invitation mailed to their homes. This is how I usually conduct my open houses. People are invited to "bring a friend" if they wish and I've gotten alot of new customers that way. Usually it is held at my home although I am planning one at a customer's home in the next couple of weeks. That one will be by invitation and word of mouth as well...
  10. FYI:There are other tests that are performed on products "premarket" that determine "safety" (i.e., skintesting, allergy testing). It is my understanding that "batch" testing is just one form of safety testing (testing the integrity of the product in relation to microbial contamination). What is known as "batch" testing is only a small part of the overall safety portfolio of a product.
