I haven't tried those particular FOs, but I have tried several others. There was an Oregon Trails Swap a few years ago and EVERYTHING was awesome. Check out this thread:

Then happy shopping!

Yeah Gaia is not my fav, but it is nice in soap and I am going to put it in a candle and see. My spa ladies and massage therapist customers love it!
Wondering if you or anyone else has ever put the Gaia in wax. I haven't been soaping at all lately and recently got a sample of this. OOB it is so strong and, honestly, stinks. I'm not sure I want to waste a pound of wax on this...

you are a enabler...
i have been wanting to try backwoods for some time..
now i see i need to get them all..
Sorry! :embarasse I know, I know...I have a serious problem. lol
Just having fun and enjoying life.
Seriously, though, you will love Backwoods. Connie is a real sweetie, too. The other one that I am totally in love with is the Pear Vanilla. It's the best I have ever tried.
-
You're welcome.
I can honestly say that I have tried nearly all of their FO and have yet to come across one that I don't like. If you haven't tried Pink Pepperberry and Pink Chocolate, those are two must-haves for sure!
Lime Vanilla is also a winner.
LOL Just do yourself a favor and put every single one of them on your wish list. You won't be sorry.

Lavender Blue, Peach Grove & Citrus Blossom, Lilac & Linen, Blackberry Lemonade, Rosemary Lime, Lemon Blush, and lastly, my daughter's favorite, Sunshine Lollipop.

Those are just exquisite!

I wonder how close this is to that "Hearth something or other" Candle Science put out right before Christmas? I thought that was kind of light too. I loved the scent but was a bit disappointed by the throw.
Darbla, I just went and pulled votives of both of these scents to sniff. To my nose (and my husband's), they smell totally different. I love them both, but the Christmas Hearth is definitely stronger smelling than the Bonfire Bliss. I used one ounce per pound for each also. The Bonfire Bliss is such a unique scent...very good IMO.

I like the Butt Naked from Candle Source.
-
i have some i can sell you....60cent/ounce..i have 13 oz..
it smells just like sweetned condenced milk...
i can put it over on the Classies if you want me too..
i will be out of town until Monday..so I could not send it until Tues..
Is this the Sugar Milk that ICS used to carry? I just poured some of this a few days ago. Went to look on their site and they don't have it anymore. I may want some of this if you put it in the classifieds.
I don't know what sweet milk smells like, but Sugar Milk from ICS is so yummy.

welcome to the expensive wax and FO addiction!
Ditto to this! lol
I got my first kit from Cajun's and have been hooked ever since.
Welcome to the board!

The Candle Source's Sage & Citrus was what I used when my dad requested tarts in his favorite Yankee scent. He loved them! When I ran out, I tried Candlewic's but liked CS's better. Unfortunately, I now have nearly a pound of CW's left. :rolleyes2

Ditto on the Blue Sugar from Backwoods. Very nice!

I voted for Voodoo Love. Might be because Valentine's Day is on my mind at the moment.

I guess I am confused. I've never poured used wax from a warmer back into a clamshell. It usually goes in the garbage. If there is still scent throw left (which is rare), I may put it in the freezer in the warmer dish until it hardens and pops out for use at a later date. I'm surprised to hear that a clamshell will melt from liquid wax melted in a warmer. I didn't think they got that hot. What kind of warmers are you using?
When I make clamshells, I usually pour at 160. I have heard of others pouring palm into clamshells at 180 or so. Personally, I have been afraid to pour that hot because I don't want my clamshells to distort in shape.
-
LOL You guys are making me want to pour this today. I dug out my bottle to sniff and try to help rename, but I can't come up with a thing. I smell graham crackers, caramel, and raisins. It smells nothing short of delicious, to me. YUM! I just want to drink it!

It's clear at the bottom, under the pics.
LOL
I didn't read the whole ad. Just like I didn't read the whole newletter that I received last week. haha
I see "sampler sale" and don't care much about the specifics.

Elements has several that are just wonderful in both candles and B&B: Crystal Sunshine, Lemon Sugar Fresh Type, Lime Crystal Kisses, and Sea Island Grapefruit. I think my favorite is the Crystal Sunshine. That one is amazing!
-
I didn't notice that. What I saw was that there is a max of 20 1 ozers per order...unless I read that wrong...which at the sale price comes to $25. Seemed a little odd to me to have such a low number as a minimum. A few years ago when some supplier had a .99 sale, I ordered 75! (I know, I'm a nut :rolleyes2)
I do have my list of 20, though.
Guess I'll go back to the site and check it out.
Did ya notice that there is a $25.00 min to get the sale price. I didn't notice it at first (fine print ya know). -
I recently just started testing and using some of their oils -- I've yet to be disappointed.
I just ordered about 15 of their samples since they were on sale, but this is what I currently carry from them:
Voodoo Love
Butterscotch Pudding
Sugared Vanilla Shortbread (yum yum)
Rattlesnake Grass
Tahitian Orchid
Definitely looking forward to trying the samples when they arrive!!
Ditto on the Sugared Vanilla Shortbread. This one is drool worthy!
I also really like their Vanilla Oak, Peach & Sweet Berries, and Orange Ginger. I have the Rattlesnake Grass, too, but it is not one of my faves.
I'm just about burnt out on pumpkin now (lol), but forgot to mention the Pumpkin Ginger Streusel. Mmmm!

Peak is an awesome company. I have tried lots of FO from them and have yet to be disappointed. Some of my favorites are: French Vanilla & Amber, Green Tea, Country Berry Hotcakes, Cappuccino Hazelnut, German Chocolate, and Cranberry Citrus.
I ordered alot of samples of JS- probably 20 and 2 of them made the cut- Blueberry Cheesecake is strong in soy (135 & pb) and their Wild Currant Sandlewood is amazing!! Super strong wonderful scent- the rest....well they flushed well! LOLI do love NG but am finding alot of my samples are coming out weak (mainly the florals)- I think for all FO comapanies it will be hit and miss for everyone-to many variables in types of wax, etc..
but I do recommend the Wild Currant Sandlewood from JS and my hands down favorite from NG so far is Cracklin Birch!
Good Luck!
Before I spend tons on samples at Peak- anyone have suggestions on what is good and strong or opinions on that company in general?
Thanks

Hey Kyme, I don't know if this is the same as Chai Tea but Candle Cocoon has one called Masala Chai, here is the description....
It is a wonderful blend of Cumin, Cardamon, Star Anise, honey and milk along with other spices. AND you can actually smell the milk!
Oh yeah! Masala Chai is incredible! I have been in love with this one from first sniff! lol

Just got their newsletter the other day and they have sample packs now. I've been searching for faves since I am getting ready to place an order. It seems like the Apple Blueberry Pie, Amish Friendship Bread, Sugar Cookie, and Hot Apple Pie are ones not to pass up.
-
Several years ago when I first started making candles, I tried Cierra's Chai Tea and really loved it. Unfortunately, I never order from there anymore. Once I found CT, I found too many other awesome suppliers.
-
I love NG's site, although it can be dangerous with all of the scent reviews. I am a sucker for those. It makes me spend more! LOL
As for the FO, I have tried both companies, but prefer NG.

Elements has a Tahitian Vanilla Spice that is wonderful.
