:embarasse Duh...I just reread and realized she was your tester. I would discount them for her as well. I think I better have something for lunch. Blaming it on hunger. lol

I like KY's Toasted Marshmallow.
-
I would sell them for normal price. Just because it is not a scent you will carry in your line, doesn't mean it cost you any less to make them.

I am SO going to get some of these molds! I really like the brioche and diamond shapes. And Steve, I just love the color of those tarts. Do you use liquid dyes or color blocks? I am also dying to know what scent they are!
OK, here are some out of the smaller molds, no mold release used. Came out pretty easy, a few small bits came off the rectangular ones (could have been that I only let them sit in mold for about an hour after pouring). Wax was PB/135 mixed at 75%/25%. FO and dye mixed in at 185, poured around 130-135. Look pretty good to me. Have one larger intricate mold that I am going to let set up overnight. These are small molds, the total weight on all the wax in the picture is 11 ounces.Cheers,
Steve

I poured some tarts in this the other day. Really like it! I can smell the grapefruit predominantly, but it has a sugary-sweet note that I love.

I'd stick with one of the GB soys, IMPO. 415 has a good reputation for being an excellent thrower, but I'm sure the 444 & 464 would work as well. The 415 is 100% soy, the other two have about 2% additives added.
Thanks so much! Gonna give it a try soon.

I love all the suggestion, and love vanilla. What do you suggest for the best vanilla to use in lotions? Any dupes for the Camille Beckman French Vanilla out there? Thanks for your help! I've ordered so many vanillas, and many have the chemical smell which turns me off, or they don't last long in the lotion.
Vanilla Bean Noel from Tennessee Candle Supply is very good. Never heard of the French Vanilla you mentioned. Sorry!

Hi! Have you tried blending some straight soy with the 4794 for tarts? It works very well! KY's tart wax is 50/50 paraffin & soy. I see you have a case of 4794 already, all you need now is a little soy to try it.
I think once or twice I mixed a little of the 4794 with the KY Parasoy if I was short for a batch. Doubt if I remember which batch of tarts I did that with, though. LOL Next time I order from Peak, I will get some straight soy. Will any soy work? TIA

Have you tried the Kentucky wax in votives? I'm curious why you bother with 2 different waxes?
I have tried the Kentucky wax in votives, but didn't like it. Besides, I live closer to Peak and order the 4794 by the case. I don't even sell yet, but I make votives all the time. Shipping is high enough with Peak being only one state away! lol

The Candlemaker's Store has it, but I don't know how close to the original it is.
-
I would mix Peak's Ocean with one of the bubbly ones and see how that smells. Sounds interesting!

Have you ever tried Crystal Sunshine from Elements? It is a former FOH FO. Beautiful scent! Here's the description:
Unique blend of sweet grapefruit combined with the delicate touch of honeysuckle, tones of warm crisp greenery and accented with hints of musk.
A must-try for sure! :smiley2:

Haha! Sorry, girl! I just realized you sent me tarts in the Dreamcatcher. They smell awesome! But I don't have any Dreamcatcher from AH on hand to compare it with. I can see why you like AWE's though.
-
I haven't smelled AWE's version, but I really like AH/RE's. :smiley2:

ST Creme Brulee could definitely pass for Chocolate Chip Cookies. Smells JUST like 'em!
-
I want one!!

Love their Winter Hug, Snickerdoodle, Wind Chimes, Nefertiti, and Country Vanilla.
-
Pink Chocolate does sound good. BW has some great scents and they do the sample packs.
I just started using CS Vanilla Lace and have to say ooh la la! Haven't tried it in soap or B&B but its wonderful in candles and I bet you could make a great lotion or body cream with it.
Ugh! I think I have tried almost every single one of CS's fragrances, EXCEPT the Vanilla Lace. I need to look in my samples and see if I have just missed it somehow.
Yep...I have missed it somehow.
Guess I'll have to wait for another sale. After reading your thread on the "amazing vanilla blend", Candybee, I now have both the Vanilla Lace and Buttercream on my wish list!

Brown Sugar & Fig suits it perfectly.

Peak's Vanilla Mint throws like crazy in the 4794 votive wax. YUM!
-
I must be living under a rock. lol
I've never heard of "1803 scents". They do sound good, though.
-
IwantItgreen...I found Fudge Brownie at Peaks, is that what you are looking for?
I use Pink Chocolate from Backwoods, it's a combination of chocolate and roses. I love it!
Sharon
Oh, yeah! Forgot the Pink Chocolate from Backwoods. Love that one! The Pink Pepperberry is awesome, too. And Chocolate Amber from NG is really good.

I don't think it's too early to be thinking about Valentine's Day scents. My faves are Sultry Angel (CC), Goddess (SGS), and Vanilla Romance (WF).

Gosh, I've been using 2 presto pots for the past four years and have been thinking of buying a new one. Now I'm scared to!

Bet they smell fabulous! Love CS's Mediterranean Fig. Lucky you...put a warmer in every room and melt away!
