  1. Just when I tell myself I am NOT ordering any more FO's, I read threads like these and get so tempted to try something new. On that note, I'm heading over to the Cajun website and checking out their FO's - I have never ordered from that company before, so I guess it's time to give them a try!!

You will not be sorry, LadyinCali. These FOs are super strong. I wish they offered samplers or two and four-ounce bottles, but I'm off to do my order anyway. :D

Puma ~ Funny, but I don't remember calling them much when I first started out. I might have called about wicks one time. I don't remember ever having any problems with them or their customer service.

  2. Reading this thread has taken me back to when I first started making candles and tarts six years ago. Cajun was the first supplier I ever ordered FO from. I remember loving every single one, but definitely had my favorites. Love Apple Strudel, Butter Cream Crunch, Apples & Berries, Christmas Memories, Lemon Drop, Mulberry Madness, Vanilla Bake, and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. Thinking I might do a little order myself. :-)

  3. I created one a few weeks back that's a cross-over fragrance designed to work as both a Halloween and Christmas fragrance.

For Halloween it's "Headless Horseman" for Christmas it's "Ghost of Christmas Past" it's a really cold and mysterious minty pumpkin fragrance.

.33 Rosemary Mint .33 Pumpkin Spice .17 Black Seed (SOS) .17 Chalk (SOS)

Wow! This sounds really interesting. I love pumpkin scents and have tried oodles over the years, but I can't say I have ever tried one blended with mint. I'm intrigued!

  4. Carol makes awesome tarts and she is the sweetest lady with the best customer service. I have ordered from her quite a few times and in fact, lol, may place an order this very weekend! :-)

Her zucchini bread blends are my favorite!

  5. What's your name? Valerie

    How old are you? 47

Where do you live? Rio Rancho, New Mexico (right next to Albuquerque)

How long have you been making candles/soap/whatever? about 6 years

How did you get started making candles/soap/whatever? I became addicted to Partylite candles in 2002, enough so that I became a consultant to support my habit. After we moved into the house we built in 2006 (as owner-builders), I decided to try my hand at making my own votives. Shortly after, I found this site and started making all sorts of other things from incense to CP soap. Basically, if it can have scent, I have tried it. Currently, I love to make tarts, but still make a few votives here and there. I've made body butters from scratch before, but now I just buy the bases and add fragrance. My husband tells me that I make the best shaving cream! :smiley2: I give most of my stuff away as gifts and love to send what I call "scented care packages" to anyone that I think needs one (birthday, cheering-up, or just because).

Are you married? Any kids? I have been married for 20 years to an amazingly supportive man and we have two daughters, Amanda (17) and Shayna (15).

If candle making isn't your primary job, what do you do? I've been a stay-at-home mom and homemaker for the past 18 years. I am so grateful to be able to be here for my girls whenever they need me.

Anything else we should know? We have three cats (two Maine Coons and a Ragdoll) named Dharma, Zoe, and Safaia (we call the baby "Kitten" even though she is almost 3) and a Yorkie named Abbie. I also practice yoga/meditation daily and love to read.

Ugh! I hate to hear stuff like this. I'm waiting on my order of VBN and now will be hoping it doesn't stink as well.

  7. That's too bad. I really like the look of the clear ones because they allow you to see the pretty wax colors through them. Oh well, I just used them as samples anyway. I prefer to make most of my tarts in the 2 oz cups.

  8. I have been buying them from there for a while now, but I didn't get them with my last order a month or so ago. Wonder if they are just out of them at the moment.
