  1. I just got finished testing this wax and I am very happy with it. It colors well, is a one pour and the hot and cold throw are great! I heat my containers before pouring and have very minimal wet spots. If I were you I would get a slab and see how you feel about it, I think that you will be happy with it, but like always what one likes another doesn't. haha. HTH-Mashala
  2. I HATE Cinnamon. Any type of it. I've tried them all: Cinnamon Buns, Suprise, Stick, Red Hot, they all make me want to puke! Cinnamon is very popular though so I suck it up and pour a ton at a time so it is a long time before I have to pour it again!
  3. Great looking pillars! Bet that blue one smells great, the combination sounds wonderful.
  4. They are both beautiful! I love the blue.
  5. That is so cute! I'm so ready for winter, the little bit that we get.
  6. Your votives look great and I love the gift packs. Great job!
  7. Thank you both for the suggestions. I will definatly try them. Kerry, I too am very happy with this wax. The cold and hot throw have been good so far and if I could find a wick I'm sure the hot throw would be even better. Again, thanks for the help and I will let you know how it goes!
  8. I am testing Taylored concepts container blend with a 7oz Status Rock jar. These jars are straight sided and have an opening of about 3.5 inches. I have tried a 51z, 60z and 62z. The 51 was too cool and the 60 and 62 were too hot. I also tried double wicking with a 36z, which seems to burn too fast. I do have sample packs of the Cotton and HTP wicks, but I have very little experience with them, so if someone feels that they would work better could you give me a starting point? I have NEVER had a problem with wicking like I am having now and its getting very frustrating! TIA-Mashala
  9. Well tonight is my neice's 9th birthday party so I will be there for awhile. But tomorrow I will be testing Taylored Concepts custom wax. I told hubby hopefully this is the wax I have been waiting for. We shall see. haha. I poured the candle last night and its a great one pour, so I can't wait to see how it burns. I finally found a mold for the wax pellets so I will be pouring some of those also. Hope everyone has a great weekend and good luck to all having shows!
  10. I had to go look too! They look pretty cool. http://herbalsoapsbyrj.com/category/category.php?CID=64 Scroll down a little way and you will see them.
  11. Your soap looks great! When I am pouring the swirl I start from way up high and pour so that it will go to the bottom. Then get closer and closer to the mold so that the color is throughout. Hope that I explained that ok. haha
  12. I keep a spray bottle with alcohol in it and spray the batch if it feels too dry. I couldn't get the two halves to stick together either until I started doing this and it took some practice.
  13. Need to work on Air Freshner and get the labels done (which is the part I hate the most). Then I just got in a sample pack from peak so I will be pouring lots of samples so I can decide what I want to buy. I would also like to squeeze in a couple of batches of soap so it will probably be a pretty busy weekend!
  14. Good luck!! I'm still trying to get up the nerve to try a batch. Be sure and let us know how it turns out and post pictures if you can.
  15. Those are great! I actually ordered some and hubby told me well you shouldn't order anymore because I can make them. Now the hard part is actually getting him to make them. I think that I will order some and keep them hidden just in case he doesn't get them done. lol
  16. They are all nice but my favorite is the square! Great job.
  17. Very pretty. I'm one of those people that like the fresh clean smells all year long.
  18. Beautiful pillars! Your colors are just perfect for the scent and its one of my favorite scents for this time of year. Edited to ask: How much wax does the three wicker hold?
  19. I have tested both the J50 and J223 and a 50/50 mix of the two. The J223 had a better hot throw for me but the J50 looked better in the jars. Mixing them gave me a great hot throw and less wet spots than the J223 by itself. I have not tested the J300 but it is made to pull completely away from the jar so you don't have to worry about wet spots. I've only tried the Q wax once and it made a great looking candle, but is a little bit more difficult to wick. I agree that you should get a slab of each and try them out. One person's favorite wax is another person's most hated. lol
  20. I'm getting an order in on Friday and hope that the sample is something I haven't tried yet. I did order a sample pack so I know that there will be 10 in there that I haven't smelt. woohooo:yay:
  21. I like the oranges. No need to tone them down the candles are very pretty.
  22. Those look great and I know they smell great! I love carrot cake candles this time of year.
  23. Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Yes this is probably the same mold that I am talking about. The pellets are a little bit bigger than Vybar and I remember seeing it on the old board but I have looked till my eyes are about to pop out! I will look into the other molds that were suggested.
  24. Does anyone know where to get a large silicone mold to make wax pellets? Hubby and I know that we have seen one on the web and we can not find it anywhere. Its a pretty big mold with lots of cavities. Any help is appreciated.
  25. When I read your post I expected some pretty funky soap and that soap is BEAUTIFUL. I really think that it looks great.
