Oh I think that is totally normal. I know that if I was opening a store I would be a nervous wreck. Once everything is in the store and the sells start rolling in you will be fine! You just want everything to be perfect and that is understandable. You are living the dream and that's a little scary. When the people come just hold your head up high and know that your products are wonderful. They will sell themselves.

I also mix the lye outside and let it cool for a little bit then bring it inside the house to finish cooling. I've never noticed an overwhelming smell or anything.

Oh I knew what you were saying and I'm glad that you told me. I can watch closer next time and stop that from happening. I unmolded it this morning and it looks ok. Its still a little soft but it is heavy on liquid oils so I'm going to let it sit for awhile before I cut it. I'm hoping that it will turn out fine. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I made a batch of soap about three hours ago. It has been insulated with towels ever since and when I just checked on it there are bubbles on the top like oil is collecting or something. It traced fine and got into the mold fine. Its still pretty warm. Should I take off the towels, leave them on or what? TIA-Shala

I found Lye at Ace Hardware. If you have a small hardware store they usually have it. For molds you can use a shoe box, Satin used an ice cream tub (which I thought was smart). I'm not sure that a foil box would be big enough but I could be wrong. HTH a little-Mashala

This is the first batch of real bath bombs that I have made and I'm really happy with the way that they turned out. The pink is Gardenia and the green is Green Clover and Aloe. I can't wait to make more! Please excuse the fancy background!

I had a fuel smell with Lemon Pound Cake. The cold throw was to die for but you could really smell the fuel when it was burning.
