I am starting to use these jars(tureens) for a wholesaler.I found them at a local supplier and they are what the lady wants.I have explained there is testing and these are wide jars and may be hard to wick. It will take testing each jar.I use the 8 ounce JJ, the 10 ounce Classic and the 16 ounce Country Jar now. The tureens are much wider jars. Don't know the diameter yet.Hope to make it to my supplier tomorrow.Didn't check dimensions on the site.Should though. I mentioned the ones I use and have no problems but want to see if these will work for a wholesale. LynnS

What would be a good price for a 2 pack of tarts at wholesale??? I've had a request for tarts and candles.I've got the candle price down pat but tarts are not very expensive and wonder what would be a good price for a Pack of 2. I know they aren't alot to make.Also labeling and packaging isn't much. Thanks LynnS

I use 3 jar sizes. 8 ounce JJ, the 10 ounce classic jar and the 16 ounce Country Jar.No problems wicking any of them and I have a great burning candle.I want to try the 6.5 ounce tureen, the 11 ounce tureen and the 20 ounce tureen.They are very wide jars.Does anyone use those jars and what wicks.Honestly I have no problem with 3 wick sizes with my other candles and their size but not sure about these sizes jars and wicking problems. I use 402 Soy and love working with it.I always have a good burning candle.No wicking problems and only need to wick up on a couple scents. Thanks LynnS

This candle business for me is getting tougher.I took a break this year but have a few online sales.Problem is alot are scents from Bert's.I got them from her.Pumpkin Custard Spice and Lemon Biscotti.I will do a seach online but seems I found both once but from 2 different suppliers.That stinks. Anyone know where I can get these 2 scents?? I know most of my customers and they will be patient.I told them it is rougher now when you have a supplier or suppliers like me who have gone out of business. Lynn Smith

I have alot of their oils.They aren't far from me.All have been good so far.Not real keen on the Christmas scents but all other I like.I need to check and do a order soon.Want to see if they have some new ones recently.I've decided to slow down.

Yes it is hard starting out then finding your suppliers are going out of business or quit carrying a certain scent.Many of us are going through this now.I've had 2 suppliers within a couple months go out of business.Got alot of FO's from them.Doing searching for these scents is overwhelming.Then re-testing.Some might smell different or not as strong as the other fo suppliers. I started with candles almost 7 years ago.This was the first year I bowed out of craft shows.I did pretty good but I need to revamp and get the best sellers back in stock. IF I CAN FIND THEM. As you can see many of us are asking where can we get a scent comparable to so and so who we purchased from for many years. Now we are hurting. LynnS

Using 2 ounces pp would cause a wick to drown.I know I brought some candles like that once.I took them to a candle supplier and maker.She asked me the size of my wick.I didnt know.I brought them.She said the wick was to small and also drowning because this person used they saying Triple Scented. It might make people buy but the candles were terrible.My husband and I started making and selling candles after that. WOW if you do that you would have to raise your candle pricing higher.That would be a waste using 2 ounces not counting the price of the candle. LynnS

My yahoo home page says the USPS is BROKE. If they don't make a payment of ? by such and such a date they will be possibly closing in the winter unless the US government steps in. Anyone else read this??? That was the first thing I opened with the latest news. LynnS

Farmer Jill.I sell alot of Strawberry Jam from BCN. After it became a seller I dont buy much of plain strawberry.One man said it was just like the jam his grandma made. LynnS

Always Wondering.I see you also can't find a carrot Cake with Cream Cheese.I had it but AWE went out of business.It was def a seller.Was one of my first scents I purchased and made that candle all the time. Will look over a few more of your list and see if I can help with others.Wish I could for Carrot Cake but in the same boat as you now. LynnS

I need to find a good watermelon.I used to buy that scent from AWE.Need something comparable. I had another watermelon and my friend said it wasn't as strong as the one I had before. Thank You, LynnS

I always got my orders the next day.She was prompt.Every scent I got from her sold. For the price they were the best. LynnS

I have to go along with Horsescents. To many suppliers are going out of business.I need to replace alot of my fragrance with the same or a dupe.It worries me because the suppliers I have purchased from had good scents and now my customers will be upset not to be able to get some.I am doing a search on those I got from Bert and AWE. This will take alot of work. LynnS

Was just thinking today I need to replace Bert's Pumpkin Custard Spice with something.Maybe the Amish Pumpkin and Spice. Got quite a few more to find or dupes. I have my work cut out for me.I told some customers what they always order might not be available. LynnS

Now another one of my favorite suppliers.AWE just closed a few months ago.Now Berts.Not sure how some of you feel but the candle business seems to be harder and harder.I decided not to do craft shows this year.Not because of not making alot(although I wished I made more) but because of a stalker.I had to go to the police.I can't go into 2 stores without him being there.He is right behind me.I won't go places by myself in the town I used to shop.I was told to get his license number but Hey I just get out of there. People can just order from my site.I am staying home.My husband works weekends so it isn't OK for me to do them. I am going to have to find alot of fragrances from some other suppliers.Lemon Biscotti and many others I got from Bert were sellers. LynnS

I have a relative like that. Always said she hated candles.Didnt know why her kids and in laws liked them so much .She even told another relative not to buy mine. Yes that is right.I couldn't believe it when the relative told me. This is a free world.I think she was afraid I was making lots of money and couldn't take it. I am like chuck's wife.I cannot be around the candles when they are being made.It takes my breath.My husband had to move out in our shed.I've become very very sensitive.I think My cancer diagnosis and also my husband stopped smoking around me made be more sensitive. Like withdrawel.I don't burn them as much anymore either but use tarts . Almost 2 years ago I did OK with most of the scents but not now. Can't take any of it. Had to get the stuff out of the basement. LynnS

Naturally Tru. I am like you.Been thinking about giving up craft shows. Long hours and alot of work setting up and tearing down. The cost is staying the same but one show I pay $75.That is a good price BUT I need electric since it is Oct and it gets cold. So the cost for electric is $75. Expensive for 2 days and may not even use it if the temps reach 50-60. This person was my first who wanted to pay CC. I don't get alot of orders on my site but do have 2 wholesales that pay through Pay Pal. If I do back out on shows I might take some time to re-do some things on my site.Make it better in any way I can.Take some things off but add couple other things. This year craft shows are a go but next year not sure.I promised some of my craft friends and regular customers I would be back this year.This season they MIGHT get a notice to order from my site IF they will??? My goal was to open a shop on our property.My friend told me I don't have the driveway for customers.Not like I would have to direct traffic. LynnS

Gee I just ordered some of the fo's they have for a customer.She asked me if I could get 3 scent.Now after reading this I might need to search for more.But if they just came out with these maybe it is to soon. All of these fragrances sound like sellers for sure. I need to find the closest B&BW store. LynnS

Brenda.I use Pay Pal/CC on my site. I just had another customer decide to do that(invoice and I am sure he paid with CC ).My website is not set up for 3 for ? so I e-mailed him when the order didn't go through and told him I bet it is because the shopping cart isn't set up right. He went through with the order. I sent him a invoice and he paid. I offered this to her with CC but she didn't get back with me.Now I sent her some other options like check or MO or she still can do Pay Pal with invoice. Waiting now to hear back. I don't have anything set up with my bank to accept CC but will look into it. I know there is a way to take CC orders over the phone but just never dealt with it. My wholesalers pay with CC through Pay Pal. I send them invoices.they send payment.I love that option. Other customers paid with CC and it went to my Pay Pal Account. Thanks for all these answers.I was clueless and know it is something simple but hard for me. BUT I never think about scammers.She is legit I am sure but we do have to be careful. Some people have their own ways and stay with that. I want to work with Pay Pal or check/MO.I don't use my CC. Cash only here. LynnS

This sounds stupid but I've never got a order that the person is paying by CC.THey all do it on my site(payment goes to paypal) or else send a check/MO. A lady just ordered and wants to call me with her CC number.How do I do that??? When I get the number call it into her CC company.I am clueless. I did offer to send her a invoice through Pay Pal.Then she pay through that but she said she would have to get back with me on it.Haven't heard anything.I assume she doesn't want to work through Pay Pal.I have good luck with that.I pay for all my supplies etc with Pay Pal.So easy but maybe some people don't like it. So if she calls with the CC number what do I do???? How do I work that??? I haven't heard back about her wanting to work with Pay Pal(and get a invoice and money request).So guess that isn't what she wants to do. My last option is to see if she wants to pay with a check. Any help or suggestions???
