  1. Thanks me too! Unfortunately I can't do the huge festival next weekend that I was preparing for as I had a complete hysterectomy 5 weeks ago and am now recuperating from pneumonia and knew I wouldn't be prepared so had to pull my registration out. I am hoping to showcase the stuff next Sat. at our local farmers market. They charge $5.00 for a set up and you are allowed unique craft items. So we'll see. I'm thinking I'm going to charge $8.00 for these. You get 8-12 treatments from one package depending on how full you fill the scoop.
  2. I finally got around to getting my bulk package of sink refreshener labeled. I debated on putting the scoop inside at the top of the package but think I like it tied on the outside. Whatcha think?
  3. I know we've had to tighten the money belt partly due to me being off work for another 3 weeks since having my hysterectomy 3 weeks ago and now pneumonia. I've had to back out of a 3 day 4th of July festival that I was getting ready for. I had plenty of people willing to help set up and man the booth, but nobody to really help me produce the actual products. I had a few people who said they were waiting to see me there. Anyway, seems like talking to people, they are saving their money specifically to go to the festival (I know that's what I do to). It's just tradition to go there and shop, so I'm thinking I probably would've done reallyl well there. Our town started a farmer's market in May the first Sat. until November. The newspaper article said everyone has been pleased with their sales. It is not a typical farmer's market as they are allowing handmade crafts as well.I'm going to take what I have done already to the next market in July to see what happens. My mom belongs to a knitting group and those ladies are always out yarn shopping and she said just with conversing with them that people are getting back to the old fashioned things "crafting, sewing, crocheting, knitting" I think these things bring relaxation and stress relief. I also think with the candles and bath and body products that due to the "depression" of the slumping economy, people need to indulge themselves in something personal every once in awhile for a "pick me up".
  4. I bought this to use in my sink fresheners for the bathroom. OOB it smells great, fresh and clean. I have not tried it in anything yet but my sink freshener stuff so not sure how well it smells in anything else. I wish I had the $$ to order the bigger size.
  5. I have the baby fresh, sea glass, hollanburst, tealeaf and grapefruit from the first sale they had. I'm not a "baby powder" type person, but it smells okay OOB. The other 3 smell terrific OOB. I used the tealeaf and grapefruit and hollanburst for my sink fresheners. I haven't tried them in the sink yet, but they smell great and strong sitting in the bowls on the counter. This time around I ordered the following but haven't done anything with them other than sniff them. Orange blossom...not orange smelling at all more flowery, Mint Boquet....yuck, may be better when put into wax or something, Moon Shadows...good, Exotic Teak...unusual fragrance but smells good, Escenza Calming Blend...okay, Southern Peach..smells good but light. I was thinking about the hawaiin pineapple and ginger and the cinnipine and country breeze and maybe more sea glass. I also got a free sample of Hawaiin tropics type which smells awesome.
  6. I haven't tried the wax from the new company carrying bluegrass yet. Supposedly nothing was changed. I still have a large quantity left from the old bluegrass and have been concentrating on other things like hurricane candles and air fresheners so won't be ordering new wax anytime soon. you'll have to keep us posted as to how the "new" wax is if you get hold of some.
  7. Here it is...the site is down until June 1st, but maybe you can send them an email. http://sensationalscent.com/ I started out using Bluegrass soy and has such success with it that I just never ventured into any others.
  8. Susan, there is a slight residue left in the sink. I think it depends on how hot the water was to completely dissolve the baking soda and citric acid and I'm sure it depends on how long you leave it in there. All the times I've tried it, there was just a slight residue that I wiped the sink with. I guess that's why it's safe for all sink types 'cause there isn't enough left to "scratch" the surface.
  9. The citric acid is supposed to clean the residue out of the pipes. I could try adding the Borax but I don't know how I'd be able to test if it worked any better. I'd have to have one of those see through pipes like they show on the infomercials to compare.
  10. Now that I have all these choices, I've gotten myself in a tizzy with which fragrances to use for what again. I would like to know if anyone who sells sachets for cars or drawers or whatever, which fragrances are the best sellers. I know what I would like, but need to get myself narrowed down.
  11. UGH! I really need to quit shopping around in the classifieds and weekly sale sections. I just went into fragrance overload again with this sale because I HAD to HAVE MOREEEEEEEEEEEE. This time around I bought: orange blossom, southern peach, essenza calming blend, moon shadows, exotic teak, and mint boquet and got a free sample of hawaiin tropic.
  12. I definately think I'm going to use the window pouches. I found some half wooden scoops at woodcrafters.com and they are on sale for mother's day. I had some of the other wooden scoops before like for bath salts but they seem to bulky to fit down inside the pouch. I forgot to add that I'm going to package 6 of the 2 treatment packages in a cellophane bag and sell them as a variety set.
  13. I seemed to think so, however my nay say DH is saying I won't sell any of them. I am getting ready for a 3 day festival over 4th of July weekend that usually gets 50-60thous. over the 3 days, probably more since the 4th hits on Friday and people have the weekend. He is saying I'm planning on having too much of everything. I'm going to bop him over the head! I figure this is something quirky enough that I can sell cheap enough that I should sell a lot and make a little bit of profit on them.
  14. I have the ingredients listed on the back of the package. I have to mix up some other fragrances. I only tried verbena lemongrass so far in my own sink. I want to do some bathroom type fragrances.
  15. I think it was in the February 2008 Newsletter at the bottom in the Tips from readers section. I package 2 treatments in the seed packets in case you have a double bowl sink. You fill your sink half way full of very hot steaming water. Dump half the packet in (if only a single sink, save half for another time) Once the water cools (about an hour later) drain the sink. There will be a little bit of residue, use this to wipe the sink out. The citric acid in the powder will "clean" the drain pipes. The fragrance is released into the air through the steam giving you a temporary air freshener. This works great after cooking something fish or onions.
  16. I found this idea while browsing the BC newsletter. I haven't tried selling these yet as I am still in the "tester" phase. I've used it in my own kitchen sink and wow..smells great while it is in there and even a couple days later when I ran water down the drain I got a whiff. I am trying to figure out which way I want to package in bulk. I was thinking about the paint cans but then was afraid if kept under a sink or even in a bathroom the moisture would rust the outside. I'm leaning toward the foil pouches with windows.
  17. I don't remember where I got the bags I am using currently but when I finish my stash I think I may order from here. http://clearbags.com/?overview|bags#BAGS. Might be a good place for a co-op.
  18. I am looking for some sort of scoop for powder. It needs to hold 1TBS. I saw the ones that WSP has and these won't work. It needs to be sort of "classy looking" I have a bunch of scoops saved from infant powdered formula that I could use if it didn't have the Ross stamped on the handle. Anyway, this is what I'm sort of looking for. If all else fails, I was thinking I could wrap the handle with ribbon so I could tie it onto the container.
  19. UGH..my order has been sitting in sparks Nevada since 4/29 and isn't scheduled to arive until 5/6. Bummer.
  20. Got my oils yesterday. All of them smell great OOB. For $5.00, think I might have to get a few more.
  21. I am so glad I decided to take advantage of these prices. I kept contemplating due to some of the negative things posted. I got in on the 50% off. I got notification today that my items have been shipped and should be here 5/6. I'm hoping it all arrives in one piece now. I'm sort of kicking myself that I didn't buy more.
  22. Thanks. I used puff paint for the "seed". I think the frog is my favorite with his wiggly eyes.
  23. I've been soaking aroma beads like crazy getting ready for a large 3 day festival over July 4th weekend. I have 6 fragrances ready to go. These are just the first ones I got ready. Still need packaged and labeled. Tulip: Plumeria Frog: Spring Rain Strawberry: Strawberry
  24. Check your order again. I placed an order yesterday as it was 50% off. I ordered a scale, 4 pack of 2lb. pour pots and 2 fragrance oils and mine all came out 50%. Don't know what to say about the shipping other than when I clicked the estimate button it was $10.17 but when I checked out it was $13.47. I figure I still got a deal. Now hoping it all comes in and doesn't take a year and a day.
