  1. Thanks! Thought I was losing my mind or something!
  2. I can't seem to get on thescentreview even tho I tried to register. Does anyone have some suggestions as to what I need to do??
  3. I think Candlesoylutions have FO's also that are soy based.
  4. I have ordered from Northstar. They also have excellent service and very good fragrances which I believe are all tested in soy.
  5. That seems like a less complicated way to go. I wish I had started out that way! My customers like the color.
  6. That might work, altho it has been said that zinc is not so good in soy. You may have to break down and buy more wicks or a sample pack! I use a lot of cotton wicks, 51C with that size diameter gennerally. I also like the cotton wicks Peaks has.
  7. What is the diameter of that jar? You can go to the wick charts of your supplier and compare their recommendations, then go higher for EZsoy. I'm not familar with that size jar.
  8. I think it could go in either. Some have put pictures like that on this board to show various burning situations.
  9. I think it would be a good idea, good to see how other's candles are burning to compare with our own.
  10. It may turn out OK in a few days after it cures. Also I don't think a zinc wick is really recommended for soy. Sorry for repeating! I didn't see the second page!!
  11. Oh Kerry, are your ears plugged?? EZsoy is at BitterCreek Candles: www.candlesupply.com
  12. Like I have said in another post, I also love this wax for cold and hot throw. Just seem to have more than usual frosting. My customers say they want fragrance more than good looks. (good thing!!)
  13. I just noticed the Scent Mixing Ideas page!!! Where have I been? That is such a wonderful idea. Thanks for all those terriffic suggestions!
  14. I am sorry to say that if I poured exactly at 160* it came out beautifully smooth tops and holds colors wonderful. Except I made a deep brown for coffee and had a little bit of frosting. But all the others had no frosting. The thing I worry about is the fragrance. I am currently using EZsoy and everyone says (customers) don't change as that is the best fragrance of all the waxes. But I am in a new location now and I worry about appearance. I can't smell very well, even without candle nose, so I don't trust my own fragrance judgement. My current testers say they like the new SS. Hope that didn't get thru your plugged ears!!! P.S. And it is way cheaper than the advanced! Altho I confess to wanting to try that also! sigh
  15. Yes, how do you get to the old board search. I went thru search, above. and didn't get to the old board even when I typed in those words. Your link worked fine! Thanks for your help.
  16. Henryk, I was curious if you have tried the new SSwax (Surperior Soy) from Southern Scentsations? You are suppose to be able to pour at 160*. I have made jelly jars, nice smooth tops and no to little frosting pouring at that temp. I just can't tell how good the fragrance is. I've got bad candle nose. My testers say it is good, tho. Just wondering...
  17. That's a really nice wax, but I had sinkhole issues with it.
  18. I haven't had any trouble with the glue gun, even when I used the 3 temps ones. I use the high melt ones now. But I would say you never know when something wouldn't work every time.
  19. I just looked at their site and it wasnt there. I didn't think to call them. Thanks!
  20. I couldn't find any suppliers who have the new advanced ecosoya available. Where are yous that have it getting it from?
  21. I use the LX18 (and under for lighter FO's) but I add a little stearic to my votives, which make them a bit harder. So I have found them to work fine. I also used RRD 30 and 37 with good results.
  22. I can't believe how much I missed this site!!
