  1. I live in Southern CA (near the Mexican Border)and I got my order from BCN and BCS faster than C&S, which arrived today. BCN and BCS take about a week, but I always have gotten everything I ordered and packaged nicelly. HTH!
  2. I am doing mp soap and tarts too! I bought some soap dye from Michaels. But the colors are very limited. I have some reding dye but I have not tried it in MP soap yet. I am also making aroma beads and ornies and will try the dipping bears soon. As far as candles go, very difficult to test and test...I am waitng and maybe next Holiday Season I will have it figured out, and CP/HP too by then!
  3. Try a company that sells warmers. I cannot remember the company, but they sold bulk tealights for very cheap.
  4. Make sure you get a digital scale and a stick blender!!! Oh, and a face mask and gloves for the lye pouring!~:highfive: I got mine at Lowes, Roebic. But I would check in the classies too.
  5. I do not sell, but here is what my testers like: BCN Counrty Berry Hotcakes mixed with Cream Brulee CS Cream Brulee CS Cranberry Marmalade BCN Verbana Berry mixed with BCN Cream Brulee BCN Plumeria BCN Jasmine -
  6. I have spent close to $500.00 in 2 months.. It is best to choose 1 wax type and test test test test test test, did I spell that right? Test 1 wax at first... with 1 container, mold, etc...and 1 FO....TEST!! Also a search in the the forums, it will help you, and us alot! I am still a noob, but I see alot of posts that can be answered from searching these forums~!!! And test test test test... use a digital scale and TEST some more!!!
  7. I love the container, but I think plain white wax would look better, IMHO> But I am a total noob, so who can say?
  8. Hi! I use EZ soy and add a bit of BW and 1 oz of FO pp. I found some metal tart molds at Bed Bath and Beyond for .29 cents each. I like the style of the molds better than the ones I bought at CS. I usually pour at 100 degrees, and let them firm up and then pop them in the freezer for 7 minutes. I have found the process is faster when the weather is colder. I sometimes add dye, but I get frosting, so usually I stick with the plain wax. The FO adds some color anyways. Have fun!!!
  9. LMAO!!! MaryJane! I was thinking of the shoe, or the cheap candy, not the weed!!! I have been working for the Gubbermint for tooo long!!! There is really an MJ scent like weed???
  10. I bet it smells yummy!! I attemted to layer a couple soy candles. A search revealed that some say to pour the next layer a day later. I still have not tried that, waiting for wicks!!
  11. Hi, I got a kit from BCN with ez soy, eco 8's and the 8 oz jjars. I never got a full melt pool...I tested about 5 candles too... I did a search on CandleTech and ordered from C&S, I am waiting on the Cwicks and a scale... My search on CT found that I need to wick up to either: eco 10 or 12 htp104 cd 14 or 16 for an 8 oz jjar depending on the weight of the fo... I decided to try CD wicks based on my search results and the price of a sampler pack from C&S, but there shipping is pretty high, IMO... Candle Science or BCN is also good for wicks, or the classies here too! HTH!!

I do not know if the Lemon Verbena is more lemony or if it works in soy or not. I did use BCN Verbena Berry in EZ soy and it has great cold/hot throw.
  13. The BCS Verbena Berry is listed under North Favorites, so it is the same as BCN. HTH!!
  14. I got Lemon Verbena in my candle kit from BCN and it is very strong! I use EZ soy. It has a great throw, both hot and cold. HTH!:highfive:
  15. Good luck the next show around! I started in soy because of the good benefits, but also because it is cheaper, I use EZ Soy. I am a hobbiest for now, but I do not think there should be wars going on! To each their own, but can you imagine this getting to be like political parties, OMG!!!!:undecided
  16. I mixed 3/4 CS Cream Brulee with 1/8 CS cranberry marmalade, and it is kinda musky vanilla. I gave a coworker one to test in a container tin candle. He says it smells like a special exotic tobacco. And he refuses to burn it~ He likes the cold throw... I used ez soy and trace of BW, and did test burn one myself, it smells awesome hot and cold!!! Now, I just need to find the right wick since the melt pool is not full... but there are always tarts!!! This combo is really unique, just thought I would give my 2 cents!
  17. I have tried BCN Country Berry Hotcakes, great strong throw in EZ soy, I add some vanilla to soften it though.
  18. I add BW to my EZ soy, helps with frosting, burn time and creamy tops! HTH!
  19. Here are some I have done: BCN Country Berry Hotcakes and BCN Cream Brulee BCN Hayride and BCN Basil Sage Mint BCN Verbena Berry and BCN Cream Brulee BCN Counrty Berry Hotcakes and JS Blueberry Cheesecake CS Cranberry Marmalade and CS Cream Brulee
  20. I use eco 8 with ez soy and the 8 oz jelly jars... HTH!
  21. I vote for wickless too, it seems to be gaining popularity to melt wickless wax!
  22. I bought some from Candlescience for .49 cents, metal and flat, work great for my non assembly line~!
  23. WOOF WOOF! I agree; I do not want a green doggie!!!
  24. I am a novice, but I think redding diamond chips can be used for both
  25. I use EZ Soy and add a small amount of white BW, but not 50/50; and I use eco wicks.
