  1. A blow dryer should work just fine, although it will probably take longer!
  2. I've had that happen, too. First, I scraped it off as best I could. Then, I sprayed the tile with Goo Gone (or I sprayed the paper towel) and wiped the tile until there wasn't any wax left. Goo Gone leaves a slight oily film, so I got out some 409 surface cleaner and cleaned the oily film the Goo Gone had left. I hope this helps, and good luck! Molly
  3. I'm obviously a "newbie" because I need help with everything! I'm trying to decide between IGI 4627, Astorlie J225, IGI 4630, and IGI 6098 in the Paraffin/Paraffin Blend category, and Golden Brands 464, EcoSoya CB Advanced, NatureWax C3, and Enchanted Lites Millenium Blend in the Soy category. I would appreciate anyone's viewpoint, especially those who have used 1 or more of these waxes. Also, should I just stick with 1 category or the other? Is it too much to be doing both Soy Candles and Paraffin/Paraffin Blend Candles? What do you all think? Thanks in advanced for any and all help! I really appreciate it!
  4. I'd like to get your opinions . . . . Which is better to use in a 16 oz. Apothecary Jar? Astorlite's (now IGI's) J223, J225, or J50? Thanks!
  5. Thanks for your help. I'll check it all out! Again, thanks!
  6. I'm just getting into candle making, and I am trying to sort out which waxes I should try for different applications. From what I've researched, each chandler has his or her own favorites and opinion. So, I would like to formulate my own opinion. However, I DON'T want to spend a fortune trying to formulate those opinions? Does anyone know where I could find 1-5 pound samples of wax that don't cost almost as much as the 10-11 pound slabs? I saw that Nu-Scent's has a C-3, P-1, and V-1 Bundle for $10, and a similar bundle for palm waxes, but are there any others? I am interested in Paraffin, Soy, and other Natural candle-making waxes. Thanks in advance for any and all help! I truly appreciate it!
