  1. I LOVE the Island Kola Nut!! I soaped with the vanilla stabilizer and Pink Sugar 3 weeks ago and so far....a few small streaks of tan haved turned up but they are sooooo much better than before! I am excited to actually have a pink...pink sugar soap! I am anxious to try another vanilla type fragrance.
  2. Does anyone know where to buy the hand sanitizer spray "pens"? I have seen them in promotional companies but want to fill my own....also can you use the normal hand sanitizer consistency?
  3. Just a quick note to say how please I was with the customer service. I know many of you are already aware of how great Lychel is to work with but I had my first order and so far the best service and advice yet!
  4. I am looking for the foil you can wrap bath tablets, melts...that kinda thing. I was sorta hoping for a local provider like Hobby Lobby or somewhere like that. But of course will consider online shopping!!! Thanks!!
  5. Your space looks perfect! I like all the table top space you have to work with. My question to you....will it stay that neat?? If it were me...I'd sling wax all over and spill dye everywhere and forget about keeping it straight. I like to say I am not messy...just creative...Have fun with your new space!
  6. Does anyone know where I can find a 2.5 inch pillar mold? I have a request for 48 pillars with that diameter. They want them about 3.5 - 4 inches tall. I have not seen this diameter before.
  7. Blue Steele? Steele Blue? Blue Metal? Metal Blues??? I think of metal or steele ...obviously
  8. Thank you soooo much for the kind words!! I am working on restocking and trying a few new things! I meet tomorrow with a potential new wholesale account...if that goes well...I'll stop crying!
  9. Does the oil mix well with it?? Is it cloudy or clear?
  10. Thanks everyone!! I just needed to hear "read" it from candle makers too! Ya know...everyone tells me how crappy January is and somehow it just feels better to me when other candle "people" tell me. This has been such an interesting ride so far! I have been in the medical field all my adult life and retail is a new world. I am gearing up for VD.....I am afraid to make too much or too little .....This is part of the fun I suppose! I am absolutely having a blast in my little shop!! despite all the uncertanties!
  11. thanks! Hey and congratulations on your new business venture Carrie!
  12. I opened a retail store in May. I had to move within three months due to zoning issues but ended up in a much better location and have been there since October. Sales for Christmas were wonderful and I felt pretty good. I obtained a pretty big (for me) wholesale account with potential for even bigger as they just opened another location. I was perhaps looking for words of encouragement as I think we did $46 is sales this week. DEAD AS A DOORNAIL as far as customers coming in the store. People told me it would be bad in January...I believe it. How is Valentines for those with retail locations? Before anyone jumps me and wonders how long I have been making candles and soaps....I have been doing this for about 7 years (candles) (soaps about 2 years) and had a pretty good home based business and decided to take it further. I just don't post my pictures and engage in alot of online conversation but am an avid reader of everyone's posts. So all those with stores....and even those without....what can I expect now? Thanks for the help I have gotten in the past and hopefully now!
  13. Cranberry was a big seller for me. I sold an Indonesian Teak soap with gold mica sprinkled on the top and it sold out too. I sold tons of MP soaps in christmas shapes. Oatmeal is always a hit but I could not keep it stocked this year and last but certainly not least Peppermint and Eucalytus sold wuite nicely. You asked which did NOT sell......ummmm the clean and fresh types did not sell.
  14. There are some containers in the Southern Living magazine this month with glitter glued on them...they are quite pretty. I would think you could use the same method on a pillar.
  15. Does this mean you have some to sell to us?
  16. I was in Kohls last night and at the checkout lane they have Yankee Candles. These were called Everyday Yankee Candle ( I think ) Anyway, there was a fragrance that was called Autumn Folliage. I Loved it!! I didn't buy it of course...but wonder if anyone has seen a dup of it anywhere.
  17. They look great! I like the packaging. Do these sell well for you?
  18. An update.....The bombs are great! They are hard enough for me to put them in a jar and not crumble. Only one of them had a small crack! iI am excited!! Thanks again for the recipe!
  19. I made this recipe today using Sal butter and evening primrose oil cuz that is what I had on hand. I am by no means an expert as this is my second batch but the recipe is very easy to make and I had no problems using my ornament as a mold! I will post how they held up tomorrow. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
  20. I love the little turtle head peeping out!
  21. OMG pretty! I love the Real Princess one! I can't wait to see them cut!
