I am sure this has been discussed but damn if I can find it. So here goes. Does anyone sell bars that are cut from the log? I was thinking of putting out several logs and cutting them per request at a festival we are scheduled for in September. I have very little festival/craft show experience and sell mostly out of my retail store. In the store, I sell wrapped soaps. I thought it would look cool and obviously more ecomical to cut them "on the scene" and wrap in something functional. What is everyone doing out there....if you don't mind me asking....Thank you!

One of my biggest sellers is a squarish container without the lid. At first, I was cutting out an insert to prevent dust and stuff but found it really wasn't needed. If for some reason, someone wants a better "hit" of the scent, I let them smell the same scent in a tin. I have a retail store so people tend to get fragrance overload and sometime think they do not smell the candles without the lid. Does that make sense? Even though that container does not have a lid, people love the style of it. I carry both obviously and I am currently looking into another container...with a lid

hmmmm I may have to rethink mine...I sell an 8 oz but put river rocks in the bottle for decor I usually have ten reeds per bottle. It is also all gussied up in a gift box with some stuff thrown in there...but I suppose I could do the same with smaller bottles! My diffusers are strong! I have a ginger bergamot in my bedroom that you can smell when you walk in the front door! Where do you get the 4 ounce bottles?

I really like Millcreeks and have never had a stinky problem. I use soy wax...I don't know if the parafins make a difference with it.

I have one soap...everytime...no matter what I try to change...it seeps oils! Cantaloupe from NG. It goes back in and comes out a very nice soap. It seems as though I had a watermelon do the same thing a couple of times.

Has anyone tried the fusion magic to make a sugar scrub? I searched and only found lotion and butters. I attempted it today and so far so good but have the feeling the sugar may disappear! I kept adding and adding more sugar and it stayed the same consistency....weird. I only used water and 5% fusion magic, fo and germall. Anyone else??Thanks!

I use CS fruit slices almost all the time. It never clouds and kids like fruity. Sometimes I just use unscented as parents request it or just for the novelty of it.

Thanks! I have heard ( read ) so many things about the GSE that I was hesitant to try it. I may go for it now that I have read your post. I am interested in the other too. I keep getting requests for "all natural".

Has anyone seen the travel tins...I guess they are not really tins...but in sterling silver? Or really shiny chrome? I saw some o a website somewhere and thought they looked really sharp!

Would you mind sharing what you did? I used liquid colorants and poured at whatever the temp was supposed to be. I do not warm my jars or anything.

Anyone have a pink grapefruit that stays in CP? I did a search and saw results for candles but nothing for soap. I want a straight up pink grapefruit. I tried NG but it disappeared ...completely

Is anyone coloring candles with it? I usually use GB 444 for my candles but occaisionally get requests for a candle with color. I tried the 6036 and got funny white marks along the sides of the jar. Not really frosting...anyone else tried coloring this wax?
