  1. Oh boy, I need more Iced Lemon Biscotti from them, looks like there is going to be a lot of extras in my shopping cart! :tiptoe:
  2. I also love Gloria's oils, Red Sadona...great in soap Autumn Jubilee...great in candles. Pumpkin Spice...not sure yet just put it in wax and its doing OK. Lemon Sorbet....sold well in soap and body lotion. Clementine Blast...sold well on soap and body lotion. Almond Shea...sold well in soap Wild Sage...not sure yet, haven't put it in anything, doesn't smell like sage to me, its more of a fruity scent. Ginger Flower...have not put in anything yet. Also if you buy two 16oz bottles she adds one 16oz bottle in free, you can't beat that! I just wish she had more scents.
  3. I have been using the 4630 for years in my parasoy blend and I love it, I get great HT/CT at 6% to 8% depending on FO.
  4. Oh nooooo....Bert had some great oils, some of my favorites. This is so sad....
  5. Sock Monkey has a nice fall scent called Autumn Jubilee and her prices are great.
  6. I have never tried the cocoa butter, but it is a little pricey thats why I stay with the shea, I think they have similar properties.
  7. Hi Xanadu,

I have thought about that but it seems tht most of my candles are just not that dark...lol I refuse to make any candle that is black, just too many issues involved with that. I will usually default to white if its a color that is going to to be too dark so it hasn't been an issue at this point. Do you live in FL or are you here on vacation? I'm about 30min from Coral Springs, I live in Delray Beach in Palm Beach County. Where do you live? Hope my answer was of some help.

  8. Besides the Palm Oil , I also use coconut, olive, sunflower, shea and castor in my mix so I went to Walmart and got the New Crisco soy/palm, I found it on the soap calc and when I put it in place of the Palm it really didn't change the numbers that much so I made a batch of it. Will see how it turns out, meanwhile the palm should be here early this week. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.:smiley2:
  9. That looks great, I love the rose petals on top, I have done that with some soap I made, I didn't notice them turning brown but it kinda grossed me out when the soap got wet the rose petals on top got really mushy and slimey.
  10. lol...ok I'm glad i'm not the only one who feels this way. The lard I used is good until next year so I don't think that was rancid but I think because I use it in HP that I really smell it when it heats up...
  11. Great, thanks @micayla75...I have lard here at home, was hoping that wasn't the alternative, as I have used it before and the smell grossed me out...lol...but if I have to I will give it a go again. @Iwantitgreen...Thanks, that is a good option, I don't have any but walmart is only a few minutes from my house. I did order the palm oil from Camden Grey but it won't be here until next week. I'm going to put both of those options in the soap calc and see what it says. Thanks again...
  12. I'm out of Palm Oil and I want to make soap this weekend but I will never get the Palm Oil in time if I order it today. I'm going to do a little research on the internet but if anyone knows of a good alternative that I can get local that would be great. Thanks for any thoughts :smiley2:
  13. Whew....big sigh of relief, that is great news!
  14. Last year I mixed CS Pump Souffle with CS Cinnamon Bun...Pumpkin CinnaBun, did well at the shows, I may do it again this year.
  15. I have been looking at that one also but I'm so pissed at DS right for disco'ing a favorite scent I was using!
  16. I use a box and cello. The box I use is white and I put my logo and scent on the front. When I use the cello I tie it with wraffia and a hang tag, I have pictues of both in the picture section. I really like the lids but they are expensive and like you say they really jack up the price of the candle.
  17. Thanks everyone for your comments, it really helps to get feedback from such great crafters. @Asheebeans....I have thought about that, not sure what can be done to keep them on, I can see how it might be a PITA! @Jeana...they are the ones used for scrapbooking and they have a top and bottom, once I get them situated on the label I use a tool to tighten it, sorry I don't know the name of the tool but you tap it in the back with a hammer, does that make sense? It snugs it up but it doesn't get real tight.
  18. I haven't tried the cranberry compote but I do love the Cranberry Cardamon & Clove, I also love Fairy Dust & Twinkle Toes, Sultry Angel and Coconut Macaroon.
  19. Another awesome soap, that looks delicious!
  20. Thanks everyone, I was kinda leaning towards the sepia toned one because it has a vintage feel, but still not totally sure..lol @Horsescents...I love my tumblers and they are so colorful and bright but I also want to offer something that is retro/homey and I really love the mason jars plus I can get them local, so I will add them for the holiday season and see how they do. Plus they are a coconut/soy wax combo and I'm curious to see how that sells. :smiley2:
  21. So I have been thinking about a country line for awhile now, not hardcore country but more like light country or cottage country type of line. I absolute adore the mason jars so I'm going with that. I currently have black lids handy so I'm using them for now but eventually I want to replace them with the pewter lids. So far I'm not going to use a sticky label because I like the embossing on the jalmost like a key West type cottage and I'm going back and forth between color or no color on the label. What do you think? Thanks for your opinions :smiley2:
  22. They look great Kyme, maybe I will give them a try!
