  1. I have a craft show in October and 3 possible fundraisers. For the fundrasier I would only offer 1 size jar and trying to decide how many scents to offer. Since it's close to holiday season the scents I have in mind are all bakery or wintery scents (approx. 10). Should I offer any year-round scents as well? For the craft show I hadn't planned on offering any non-seasonal scents but wondering if I should and how many of those? So for fundraisers and craft shows how many different scents and # (seaonal and nonseasonal) would you offer? Thx!
  2. I've wicked mine days later when I need to make a bunch. The only thing you have to be careful of is warm wax filling in the hole after you pull it out of the mold and let it cool. I'm impatient and pull mine out probably too soon at times. If this happens I just heat up my pin with a heat gun and redo hole. HTHs.
  3. Haha, I just got done posting on Alan's message about having withdraw when the site was down. My days just didn't seem right!
  4. I appreciate your hard work and look forward to trying your oils for the first time!! Thx Wendy!
  5. Very purty...booth and background...lovely. So how did you do at your show?!
  6. Do you make 120 candles for 1 day shows or weekend shows? I have my first upcoming show which is 1 day from 9am-4pm and not sure how many I should make...just trying to get a ball park for what others do. Thx!
  7. $5.99??? Where did you find that...all I see is $9.99.
  8. Does Jack Frost from BCN smell a lot like Peak's Vanilla Mint or Buttermint Candies?
  9. Thx...I've gotten in touch with her via email.
  10. Does she have a website to order her oils from?
  11. I don't use dye in my containers but do for pillars, votives, pies, etc... I just like the look of containers without it. That way people can put it in any room they want and not have to worry if it matches their decor.
  12. I've been at it a year and only have sold to family/friends. I think it depends on when you feel you've mastered that candle. Last year I only sold one size container candle. This season I'm hoping to sell rustic pillars, bakery pies, votives and melts too. For me it has been a slower process than what I imagined.
  13. I'm using a 50/50 soy blend wax for my molds and just to let you know I'm having issues getting them out of it without breaking. I haven't decided what kind of wax to try next so not really any help.
  14. Beautiful but how do you wick the pies? I'm just starting out on bakery items and have an apple pie that is tall. I tried single wicking but didn't work. Just curious how you burn your pie candles.
  15. This is an all-in-one mold in a 5" tin using GL's 50/50. I got a little crazy on the cinnamon but not sure how to wick this baby. My first attempt was a 51z down the middle and it burned out in 6hrs. I'm thinking 2 or 3 wicks but not sure what size due to the height of the pie. Any thoughts? 16. I'm a Peak's fan and order the majority of my fo's from them but didn't care for their egg nog but could be I just don't care for that scent.
  17. For Peak's Warm Apple Pie I rename it during the year as Apple Spice.
  18. Tell him to rename it...don't want his man card taken away from him...just kidding. It is a nice scent!
  19. Can you give more info plz? What palm wax did you use and wick size? I've been wanting to do palm in my status jars but didn't know if palm came in container form?? Very purty...love the look of the antique sandalwood!
  20. I like the colors and the mold. I just made a 3x6 pillar in those exact colors...I think it's sexy! Cotton Candy though...not very manly .
  21. It will determine what kind of containers you're looking for and more than likely the cost of shipping. I can get my containers at two local suppliers so I do not have shipping. I would look local first and see if you can find what you like before finding one that would have to ship to you.
  22. Wow, after reading this dripping in sarcasm response I seriously doubt I'd buy from you. Showing your ugly side for sure. IMO, very unprofessional response.
  23. My understanding is silicon molds can stand up to 300 degrees.
  24. I friend of mine bought a 'soy' candle that looked just like this and I was baffled as well (last year) and then realized they must of blended the two (palm & soy). But they also made sure to list it as an all natural soy blend which of course the 'natural' part is more than likely palm. I haven't dinkered around with that either but may...it's purty!
