  1. You think like my son LOL! he likes the flame. but they really are good for people that has small children or an elderly person, not having to worry about the flame. or like office;s where no flame is allowed.
  2. just without wick and small flat jars are best for them . like a flat squat mason jar, or tureen , or 10 oz apot. jar
  3. I remember reading somewhere... that some people shrink wrap their then bag them. i keep mine in a jar or plastic box , till i fill an order. other wise they get smeared some on bag. i use a parsoy blend. and i make the standard tart mold size, then put in ziplock bag.
  4. Those are beautiful, what a nice gift set those would make.
  5. just finishing up my baskets and 2 tart orders, but rest of weekend will be with my Brotherinlaw & wife from NC. then family reunion. hope everyone that has a show, does great, should make lots of money. lot of people will be traveling.
  6. thanks Bandito, i didn't have any Ivory chips but got some order, for next time. and those eggs are for decor, my kitchen theme is Hens & roosters.
  7. LOL! no candleman, i swirled a little dab of brown color with a toothpick in them, just for the heck of it. i do a few of my tarts like this. scented ... i'm been on a couple boards, where they really put you down for your grammer, spelling and goof ups. the last place i left had a lot of nice people on it but also a few "perfect people" on it, that had nothing but bad to say if you made a mistake, so i' said heck with it and left i had asked for help with my dog and got accused of all kind of things, like these people was in my house and knew me:smiley2: so when i goof up on here and noboy points it out in a mean way, i'm thankful for that. because my grammer & spelling is bad:laugh2:
  8. you all are sweet not to point out...i left a "p" out of my pumpkin thats what happen when i don't proof read or i"m in a rush.
  9. Thank you Anna, i owe it all to the help i get here, i 'm not good at colors LOL!
  10. I added brown to yellow till i got the color i wanted, as suggested by scented. for my Golden Amish Havest, they are more gold looking than picture shows. thanks all
  11. Thanks to you guys, i got my pumkin pie, perfect color i wanted, now on the the deep gold
  12. Thank you all, yea a burnt orange is what i'm trying to get for my pumpkin pie, i m going to put gingerbread in the basket and its already a deep tan, i was trying to think of something to make the amish harvest like a dark yellow, not bright sunshine. you guys are a big help thanks.
  13. I'm doing a couple baskets for the great aunts in the family reunion this weekend and i want to do them in fall colors, i need to know what colors to use to make a deep dark golden color for my amish harvest and a deep dark orange for pumkin pie, i already have some a darker than usual apple pie color , light brown / tan so i wanted to keep away from that color. thanks
  14. When i first starting making tarts... then selling them, some people didn't and some people still don't know what they are here where i live. they asked how did they melt them. and as old as i am , i didn't know nor heard of a clamshell form of melts. so don't feel like you are alone.
  15. I use both. but i like the electric ones better. i keep tealight one in my son's old bedroom for when he's home. he like the flame of a tealight. but i do trim all my tealights... after one getting my burner to hot one time, its was smoking and ready to burst into flame when i heard it.
  16. i second what fern said... i put these in baskets along with a clear pryex dish to melt tarts in, i think a candle on any of them would be hard to melt.
  17. Hi, you will get more help over in the candle making section:) not off topic. i don't make pillars , but i think blues & white would look like cool water, maybe white on top then a lighter blue, then a darker blue for third layer .
  18. I have the print shop version 20 label maker, its makes greeting cards and labels, banners all different type of things , i buy the address labels at walmart and use them, my son just install it, its on a cd , and it has the avery # for everything on it. he did nothing to my printer , i just tell it how many to print on it. for me this works good,
  19. sorry cindy... guess that would help to say what type of wax, i use the ky p[arsoy for tarts/ votives
  20. This was my free sample in my order this week, i was wondering if its strong enough to do 1 oz per pound wax, some fo's i do 1 .05 and before i wasted it on a pound i was going see if i need to cut back on the wax some. thanks:)
  21. well i don't pay any attention to how often i get email from becky but i didn't over the weekend. i didn't come on here to bash JS ( Becky) because she is a nice person and has good prices, plus fast shipping but i was just being honest in the FO's that did or didn't work for me, and again i will say it could be my wax or something i'm doing, the 5 or 6 scents that i did mentioned, i will keep on buying them, the jewel holiday cake sample i got from her was good and i will order more of it, Js isn't the only place i got a scent that didn't smell good to me. i just hate it because i have bought so many and they didn't smell good to me,
  22. Those are beautiful, she's going love them...who wouldn't:)
  23. I also use ky's peppermint, it stay a pretty bright white in my parsoy tarts, don't know if it would do same in candle and its a good true peppermint. very strong.
  24. Cherry Slush is good from ky. but it's not body safe.
