  1. maybe its only on the first order, that BCS gives a free sample, it was my first order but wasn't $50 , Blue Bonnet was one of the sample also , haven't test it yet. but i liked the Holiday wassail and order a full bottle of it. wish i had that size on a lot of scents i have bought, only to find out i don't like them. its like a treasure hunt, not knowing what you going find LOL!
  2. got my BCS order today, hubby knew i had order 2 more large bottles after trying a couple samples, anyway i'm digging in my box and he says ... sweetie what are you hunting for ? here are your bottles , i say i want my free samples , i get such a rush looking and finding a free sample:D but i didn't find one today:sad2: even at just 1/2 of an oz , its enough for me to test and see if i like the scent. i got holiday wassail last time, that was one of the large bottle i ordered , all because of a sample. Dh thinks i'm:werd:
  3. looks very pretty, she's going love it, everything fits together good, i like the clear wrap myself, i done 2 baskets for a lady this week , both for a wedding gift. after she picked them up she was going get a couple of the pretty wedding gift bags at walmart and put them in, i told her about seeing them there large enough for putting a basket in and decorated pretty in wedding theme.
  4. Accents, thats what i was thinking, its so fresh smelling. i tried once to get my son to take some snuggle baby tarts home and he said no mom we'll be smelling diapers enough LOL! but country clothes line smells like you clean house all day, fresh, yet you know you didn't:D had a busy day today, went looking at dollar store for some cute baskets and so glad i did, they had real pretty ones and lots of christmas stuff, but i'm going do it tomorrow and will post pic. to let you guys see her.
  5. Thanks, i got a lavender but then i see it has vanilla in it, so thats out , country clothesline is clear looking , maybe that . i want to keep it a pretty white carol, because she going have so much pink and lavender color already in her room LOL! the walls are lavender with white trim, i was just going put a pink or lavender bow on it. i'll dip then if the bear change color i should know in a couple of weeks. ( i think)
  6. I bought me one white bear to dip in wax for my grandbaby , but i have been hearing that some Fo's change the white bears, can anyone suggest a scent good for a baby's room that won't change my bear to yellow ? don't want to mess up my one bear. thanks
  7. Congrats! thats wonderful for you.. hope they sell so fast, you'll get another order for that many soon:D
  8. LOL! those makes the ones i made to sit on my fireplace mantle , look real good and i under wicked them just so they could burn and not spill over but they still have a smaller wall than that after 4 hours and since i made them for decor only, i like the way the light show up thru the wall. i didn't even have a mold and wick pin, i used a plastic container i had in kitchen 6x4 round.
  9. I can't wait till she gets this scent in, if it smells like the real teaberry gum, i'll love it. that was always my favorite gum and could never open up a stick of it without taking a deep smell of the scent
  10. very pretty, love the basket.
  11. I have always used this wax, easy to work with, comes out of my tart molds nice and clean, good cold & hot throw. the wax like schmoopie said is in granuals, so its easy to measure and melts fast. i have sold a lot of tarts , useing this wax.
  12. Can't see picture, all i get is an invalid attachment.
  13. CC.. what a good idea, i have an old iron that i don't use. going add this idea to my list .
  14. Thanks everyone, took sharp knife, cut off top then put top side down to smooth out on a cookie sheet, laying over a pot of warm water, put another wick from bottom, now good as new
  15. the top of my pillar is no longer smooth, where i had a wick burning,it didn't get a full melt pool, so i know i need to go up a wick size, on container candles the top is smoothed by useing a heat gun. my question was do i need to make the pillar top smooth some how also before i rewick ? i pulled the wick out already from bottom, that i was testing and can put a wick back in it, just didn't know about the top not being smooth now, does that make sense:rolleyes2 thanks Bandito.. hope im not confuseing you more LOL!
  16. Thanks Bandito, i'm going to get me some wick pins if i decide to keep making them, this one is just for my self . and putting the wick in is easy for me, i just don't know what to do about top LOL!
  17. I know i need to up a size in my wick for my pillar i'm testing, but not sure how to do the top , in a container i smooth out top with my heat gun. but i don't know what i'm suppose to do for a pillar. could someone tell me. :rolleyes2
  18. thank you sockmonkey, with shipping the way it is, i'm thinking it would cost more than , it cost in the first place because this was just 1 of 8 , so it only cost about $10 even with shipping,
  19. I bought some of the Levine candle warmers, when Lorrie done the co-op for them and done a wonderful job of it. but this morning my DH brought one of the combo ones back to me that i sold to a guy for his wife, with tarts. he said it don't work. dumb me didn't check it before i sent it to him, my question is do i contact Levines and sent it back or chalk it up at a lost because i wouldn't have a receipt for it and probably would cost more to ship than it would be worth :undecided
  20. Sounds like the square jar walmart has, been talked about on here before so if you look in search, you might find some help on them, i got the small one and the large one , just never did get them to burn like i wanted them to, so i just set them aside, someone was putting 2 lx 14 in them. i love these jars and hope to get back to them. http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9828&highlight=square+walmart+jar
  21. First time i was at a place like that is, last year , in lexington ky. my son and i went to a big place , it was called peddler market and , after i was looking and found something i wanted, in a booth i was wondering whom it belonged to so i could check out, my son said mom, you just put it in your shopping cart or what ever, it has a tag with # on it, they know the booth and whom it belongs to, i gather everbody gets a certain number. is the way they keep it straight. his girl friend & her sister had a booth there and no problems, i think they paid like a $100 rent each month. they had antiques in their booth, but there was all types of booths set up. it just seem odd to put stuff from different people in cart and go check out LOL! this might be same thing you are talking about.
  22. Thanks Candle man. Ginger i don't make nor know a lot about pillars but i have learnt more about them on the board here, enough to know they shouldn't spill over within a few mins. there was no chance at hugging them either, they were just 2 of the 3" ones, i lit them and about 20 mins they had spilled over the side.
  23. I decided to burn these pillars ( decor only) from walmart over the weekend. within just a few mins the wax was running over the side. so i know the wick had to be to big. so now i've remelted the wax and rewicked. use a mold from a container i had in kitchen, use cut coat hanger to make a place for wick to go later. but now i'm not sure other than the wax shouldn't spill over the side, how to burn them correct. the pillar is 3 1/2 wide, should it melt to edge by 3 hrs. like a container candle ? thanks
  24. at the dollar store last year, i got a hat box and put stuff in it. just last weekend i done up a couple baskets for 2 aunts at a family reunion and i found 2 nice fall color baskets, they looked like real dark burnt orange and had ting little orange things around the edge, anyway these would be perfect to put fall decor in like i do, small pumpkins & gords , even the red corn. or leafs, after taking out the pretty warmer and tarts they will still be able to use the baskets. i saved a big red & gold cookie tin , from christmas this past year, i'll will be making it up for someone at chrismas.maybe a big bowl of some kind , would work for you . since its for the library maybe a neat tote bag , i have a tote bag i carry my books in when i go to check them out at library.
