  1. Hey it was even on one of those court things today. The judge thought people were smoking incense sticks, but it's not that at all.
  2. Oh cool! Now if you just ordered then you remember what you ordered right? LOL! (I only remember getting the mandarin, lime, basil one and then adding stuff that sounded interesting.) I would have tried more, but I was like "exercise control here, you have to order other things all over the place."
  3. There's also one called incense too.
  4. Oooh. Will stay away. Hey I'm going OT, but what kind of RRD's are you looking for? I have spools and maybe some that are wicked. Don't know if I have the size you want, but would gladly send you some.
  5. Have you soaped it, Toni? Wondering how it does.
  6. The alcohol would be something that helps. Good points Tall!
  7. No you aren't the only one. They went out of business and The Perfumery is to continue selling their oils. They apparently own The Perfumery so it looks like it's just a way to enforce their new ordering guidelines...$500 minimum orders unless you are an existing customer and for the existing customers, you have to order a minimum of $1000 a year in total orders or you get the $500 minimum per order.
  8. Sexy, hot dude lol! X-Chromosome Hubba hubba (sorry couldn't resist) Tall, dark, mysterious (or delicious lol) Where in the world are you finding a strong enough Drakkar? I've been looking and looking.
  9. OK who are they? Apparently I should get around the net more maybe. Can't recall ever hearing about them.
  10. I stayed away from it LOL! I got five 8 ozers to give a go for starters. Can't even remember what I got ack!
  11. leenabug, what Beth said. You want to give the scents a chance to somewhat marry. They may change slightly in an actual application, but the qtips and the baggies give an idea.
  12. THe reason for the preservative is because it's water and without it nasties will grow and rather quickly.
  13. So far service is fast. I ended up ordering from five companies over the weekend and she was the first to say it's on the way. Will do Tracey.
  14. You know it always seemed to take about a week to get here when I did order from them long ago. Even if you gave them two to three days to pack and ship, it still should have been there last week. Hope you're not stuck in the system, but you might want to call them if your package isn't there tomorrow.
  15. Now you've got me intrigued with the dreamsickle. Wish I could play around with some of these, but I just don't have anything. Got any coconut and a water scent to try with the fig?
  16. Rumor is patch goes with everything Then again, I'm a patch fan and I think probably makes all nasty things smell good lol. However, vanillas are always good at toning something down if you did not know that. But now I'm wondering how a water scent would react with what you've got. It's totally fun and you can look at it this way ... it could get rid of the FO you don't like. If you have Qtips or cotton swabs those are simple to use. Look at it as 1 qtip of each fragrance as a 1:1 mix (equal parts). If it's close to something you think you might like, add another qtip of one of the fragrances and see if it's better. This is an easier way to say save the scent so when you hit a bingo you have some left to do the mix. Be curious to read what you come up with.
  17. LOL Vicky. Thank you! They came up in a search for one of the fragrance oils I had to find. I decided to give a few of her fragrances a try. Really, in Texas? I guess I automatically thought she was in Florida lol. Isbennis I was thinking it was you running a side company for a little bit, but I can't remember what exactly I saw that made me think otherwise. Perhaps it was the embeds, because I did not recall that you used them.
  18. I wish I had an answer for you. The only thing that I have seen with the mix I use is that too much moisture tends to do that. I wonder if one dye is more watered down than the others. :/
  19. What was that B&BW fig fragrance? That is a nasty fragrance. I personally love Fig Newtons lol, so if you had something cakey or a cookie, you could try it with that. I also loved mediterranean fig from Peak's. Thing is no one else did lol. But you could try some orange in there. Wonder what a fig, orage and apple mix would do? I don't have fig to try it out, but since you do ...
  20. I agree on the color. Just going to add that if this was your first time there, don't judge the show by the amount of business you had or didn't have. Learn from this one. While I like your banner, I'm not apt to see it and be drawn to it if I'm in a crowd of people. Any chance of something eyecatching out front? You can still be clean and classy looking. Our tent allows us to have our banner go across the front of it. In a sea of white we needed that something to catch a person's attention down the road etc. Oh and I was going to say, what we learned our first full year of craft shows was to give that show two years before making a decision on whether we wanted to stay or go somewhere else. Sometimes an area is having a good fiscal year and other times it's slumping etc. In this economy, which is bouncy as best, I would give it another year. In the meantime pick up some more shows and send your partner out there looking at other booths. Have that partner determine what's attractive about it and what isn't. There may be an idea that you can add to your set up and there may not. Sometimes you become friends with your neighbors too. Ask them for an honest opinion also. We learned a lot from several of the neighbors we've had. One is to encourage eye movement or to have a center stage that is inviting and encourages others to browse. It could just be something as simple as not having everything at one level to having more of a centerpiece that might be slightly elevated.
  21. I was thinking Day-Star had a milk scent of some kind. You might look there. Her oils are pretty good. I think you could combine milk with any cookie ... even a snickerdoodle if you can find it. I haven't tried Day-Star's pizelle fragrance, but it's supposed to be like a waffle cone and that is also an Italian holiday cookie ... would go very well with milk. Also if it's not too late spend your money Peak's Balsam Cinnamon is fabulous
  22. I stick it in incense, sachet bags, small amount of votives or I sell it. On occasions though it will sit in the darkest part of my shelves till inventory time and then I wonder why I never used it until I open the bottle for the reminder. Could the fragrance you have be mixed with something else to make it better? To help you with that, need to know what the fragrance is that's gagging you lol. OK, yes, some really gaggy scents do blossom in wax. Vineyard comes to mind. It smelled like vinegar and rotten grapes out of bottle, but boy did it turn out fantastic in wax. It took forever to get it into the wax though. And I have a few fragrances that gag me, but they move quite well so in that instance, I have to put up with the smell.
  23. If those are the two you are looking at and they are local to you, try a 10 lb slab of each before you invest in the case. They ought to be able to help you find the wax that will perform well for you. Since they are suggesting a small percentage of an additive to those waxes, pick up some vybar 260. One thing you might want to do is combine your soy with the two paraffin blends too and see how that works out. They know their waxes best as would anyone on here who uses their wax. Wish I could be more helpful, but I can't. I know where I get wax is within driving distance and love that alleviates the cost of shipping, but they are an IGI supplier. I used to try out some of Candlewic's waxes, but those don't look like they are around any more either. If you dive into the pillar making side, 4045 is the way to go.
