  1. How much FO do you all that use the WSP or any Body Butter Base for that matter? I could not find the info on the site and they did not include it with the tub.. I used 3ML per 8oz but the scent does not seem strong to me..I whipped the crap out of it with a butter knife..and it was fluffy and looked nice in the jar with a bit of color..but the scent seems light to me..I followed the basic instructions I use for regular lotions and shower gel..but since this is thicker do you think it will be ok with more FO and not be bad for the skin?
  2. You have the best looking MP soaps girl! That first one looks like incredible.
  3. I have made one from Aloe gel, tea tree oil and distilled water..used it for several weeks...until I broke down and spent $45 on Proactive..I have oily/acne skin even in my 30's and just got fed up and splurged on it. I have also make the clay maskes which seem to reduce the look of pours but drys out the skin alot..they had a recipe on the WSP site..I followed it to a T and it STANK like vomit... I chose not to use the rest of it and pitch it..but I am sure if you search around on the net you can find a better recipe for a mask that you would leave on..let dry and rinse off.
  4. I use a parasoy that is preblended not the waxes you are refering to but it is poured between 155-165..If I would pour that cool I would get the same lines as you. I think it is the parafin in it...cause it is obviously not the soy as that is supposed to be poured cooler.. which is one of the reasons I like the blends..less wait time
  5. I like your idea of 3 scents in 3 tubes bundled together with ribbon and maybe a flower ..9oz for $5 sounds like a good price as long as you are getting your $$ out of it.. remember cost x 2 for wholesale x 2 for retail.
  6. Dont worry about it! I think there was a thread about the price of salts a quite a while back you might be able to find it in the search or on the old archive board.
  7. Hey I almost forgot.. You can schedule FREE pickups with USPS as well ...on the website under your buisness account when you sign up. You don't even need to leave your house..I put a note on the comments to pick up on my side porch because the wheather does not get to them on that porch.
  8. GREAT! wow big price difference between companies there.. Thank you!
  9. ...anyone know where I can get black lip balm tubes OR very small black containers for lip balms..like 1/2 oz or less
  10. I use USPS most of the time as well.. Free boxes, tape, labels, you can print online and if you have a good scale you can do it all and then just drop it at the PO..and delivery confirmation is free if you do it online...vs paying at the PO..plus they are paypal friendly Click n ship is EASY..set up an account and you are on your way..if you can post on this board you can click n ship. I have used UPS..and they broke most of my orders.. PITA FedEx would be great if there was a place near me I could drop at otherwise I have to pay $10 for a pickup..NOPE...we used them at work..and they were the best rates as far as regular pricing is concerned. Have yet to try DHL..not sure if there is a drop location near my home/biz to do it. :undecided If they are anything like Airborne..not going to even try them...hopefully the name change came with other changes. Make sure you pack your boxes the best you can..peanuts..paper..bubble wrap whatever it takes...a few extra cents in packing supplies can make up for a WHOLE lot of headache of reshipping from breakage and filing claims for it...and sometimes the packing don't even help.
  11. I sell mine in 6oz clear cello bags for $3.95 and 16oz white paper bags tied with ribbon for $6.95 I eventually want to go to a more upscale look..like the clear jars with nice lids or something along those lines
  12. I would think the powder would get stuck in the funnel..guess I need to find one almost as wide as the opening :undecided I have a regular kitchen one for body mists but the hole seems like it would be to small.
  13. man you are all making me want to try lip balms..there goes another $50
  14. ..I made shimmer powder today and bought the 6oz white powder shakers from Elements..I have to say the recipe came out great..love it..they are scented..BUT.. ..they are a PITA to fill..how do you all fill yours without making a horrible mess..I used zip locks..and sifted my ingredients into them..added the FO and shook the crap out of it..tried cutting the end off like I do with lotions and such but it was a pain..plus it was on my scale so I could fill them to 6oz. ANY tips..I will try anything..I still have 3 more scents to do. :undecided Wonder how toxic it is to breath this stuff.. I have been sneezing ever since I cleaned up my work space. cornstach, baking soda, dry flo pure, fo, and glitter
  15. Those are so pretty.. I love lavender as well.. would love to have a large piece of land and grow fields of it. I would pay $5 for those in a heart beat at any craft venue...esp if they smell pretty.
  16. for body sprays I color them..and I use a base for linen/room sprays ..which I have not made in a long time..I use aluminum bottles because you can add more FO and not worry about it being cloudy...again using a base. I have also done the water/witch hazel/FO thing and..I have to say the bases are much better and hold the scent longer.. I did a test on my living room curtains..sprayed one with the mix...and on the other side of the room I used the base..and the base kept it scent longer.
  17. Simple Beautiful and Elegant I really like it..very upscale looking
  18. I used Pumpkin Fudge from Keystone in plain 415 soy and It was great..excellent throw and burn.. actually one of the few that I really liked in soy...before I changed to a parasoy
  19. I agree with this statement...I make both star melts and the clamshells..clamshells are sooooo much eaiser for me ...but my I sell more star melts.
  20. DITTO that! I use the plain sided jelly jars with no glass imprint on them..and the silver crystal lids from WSP..for a more contemporary look. People for SOME reason think Jelly jars are safer to burn in..I have heard that many times..I make a victorian type jar as well..looks like a glass vase..the actual glass is more sturdy and thicker than the jelly jar but I still sell more 8oz jelly jars:confused:
  21. Thanks everyone..I am really wanting to add lip balms..but not sure if where I live they would go based on the cost to make them and what I would have to sell them for..in order for it to be worth it...plus I want to make them for myself and family.. I am also making some gardeners gift baskets for my site and really wanted to add some balm or hand soap of some sort to them..:undecided
  22. ..I am trying to figure out if I should add certain products or remove some..and I am wondering what is your #1 seller.. Soap? Lip Balm? Lotion? Sugar Scrub? :undecided Right now mine is Scented Glitter Gelee..I figure that will change come season change..and it will go to lotion
  23. ...I did ok...made my booth rent for both days and enought to restock the product sold..however, I did get 2 possible somewhat local wholesale accounts out of it..gave out some samples and a price list..so we will see. I am going to try and at least one within the next two weeks to check up..and the other is about 1 1/2 hours away so I will probably give her a call and see. NOT Bad! I am pretty happy with it..and my booth was only half full since my supplies did not come for most of my bath & body stuff..this weekend I will be standing there getting people to test out the body butter and giving a free sample of sugar scrub to anyone who buys a body butter..hoping I sell out! I will post my rough pics this week sometime..they still have not put up my wire for my drapes and my fabric and lights are not up around the top of my space yet..and my selves with b&b are not up..but I have it all decked out for fall already.:smiley2: Hope you all had a great holiday weekend!
  24. Everything I can possibly make with the inventory I have on hand to stock my booth.. I have more supplies coming in late next week..so I will be making what I can now.. ...filled votives for sure.. If I get my WSP order today then I will be making lots of stuff. Salt Glow, Lotion, body wash, body butter, foot butter, salts..and lots and lots of 8oz jelly jar candles. I am at the booth sat/sun..so my 7 day work week is now starting..oh wait..I get Labor Day off at my full time job..lol...YEAH...the next on wont be until Thanksgiving.
  25. I keep mine in the labeled zip locks they come in..and then in the plastic shoe box size rubbermaid containers...labeled by type..votive..large zinc..tea light..etc etc...and I keep my fabulous wick setting tool (papermate pen casing) in each box:D
