  1. Naturally we didn't run out on purpose, why would we do that. That must have been some sale eh!!! I know you didn't run out on purpose, just sucks for that to happen for all involved! Its more of a surprise, for you guys to run out of something like wax, that's why I commented on this matter.
  2. They always throw in a couple pieces of candy in the box....you have to dig through the packing stuff sometimes to find it!
  3. I placed an order for EZsoy on saturday the 18th, it would actually go through their office on the following monday the 20th, and they weren't sold out then. So how does a $7 Million a year company run out of wax?? Especially right in the middle of the busiest time of year...you'd think they would have plenty of stock on hand knowing it would be gobbled up this time of year. I can see the smaller suppliers running out due to only being able to buy so much at a time but for as large as BCN is...you'd think that wouldn't happen!
  4. Are you 100% positive your email even got to them? I know there are plenty of times I don't hear back from someone and when I ask them if they ever got the email, they didn't even get it! There is a good chance the email never got to them if they didn't respond. Anyway, as for BCN, I have noticed the couple of times I've emailed them, they have returned my email in the evening, around 5:00 pm or later...HTH...
  5. I think its a really soft scent...but yet a good thrower, I can smell it in the living room when its burning and when I have a few others going too. I don't get a strong cinnamony scent out of it at all...the soft sandalwood scent with a light hint of something else in there. Sorry, not very good with descriptions!
  6. Holy toledo...back up the bus here!!! You are planning to open a candle shop in december and you have yet to order supplies LET ALONE LEARN HOW TO POUR A SAFE CANDLE and you are going to be whipping these bad boys up and selling them in this store you are opening in a matter of a couple of days? Maybe I am reading this all wrong...I think I need to go to bed now! I'll check this one out in the morning when I'm not so tired..something just ain't right with this picture! :lipsrseal santa eek
  7. Yes your site looks great, your products look wonderful but I would increase your prices..I think they are to low also! 5.00 for an 8 oz jelly jar candle is to low! You can get more than that for them! I was also wondering about the wick in that votive..but it could just be the picture..some distortion maybe?? Looks good, and I like the black and white concept also! Very clean looking!
  8. Rocky Mountain Pine (or R M Christmas can't remember what they exactly call it) from FOH is the best pine scent....This is one of my best sellers all winter! Definitely NO pine-sol scent here!
  9. Do they even test these things before they just throw them out there for sale??? I'd really be amazed if they did!:undecided
  10. Oh I see now after checking out the cake website...you guys were talking about the "better than BLONDE SEX cake" We were talking about the "better than BRUNETTE SEX cake"...any one want to talk about the "better than REDHEAD SEX cake"......ROFLMAO!!!!!:neener:
  11. Same here...better than sex cake is made with a chocolate cake, poke holes all over it with a straw, pour carmel (or butterscotch) ice cream topping over the top of cake (it sinks down into the holes) then top with a whipped cream type frosting, or what ever your favorite frosting is! No pineapple! So as for re-naming this oil, my choices wouldn't fit the scent at all!!! LOL:D
  12. Well, if you didn't have to wick up on that fo, and it seemed to burn good, makes me think it isn't a 'true' patchouli smelling scent! I have never heard of a 'true' patch smell fo, that will even burn without wicking up! LOL Yes, you might want to try one from a different supplier. I know the one at Millcreek is very true to the real scent! You should be getting a pungent musty smell from a real patch! HTH Have a great day!
  13. Your best bet would be to send samples with your brochure and price list. Businesses get a lot of mail and many could just pass yours up as more "junk mail" unless you send legit samples of your product. Just a thought!
  14. This is great for you, but I don't think I'm seeing much profit here at all....if you do the numbers here's what I am coming up with..Lets say you pour 300 candles a day, that's $750.00 you will get paid, now take out your cost of 1.50 per candle, that's 450.00 leaving you 300.00. Now say you pay 2 workers $6.50 and hour and they work 8 hours a day to wick and pour this many candles, that is 104.00 a day, and this doesn't include payroll liabilities yet either. So far you are at 196.00 a day. Take your time into account here also, even at 12.00 and hour, that is another 96.00, thus leaving you 100.00. Now I am sure you are going to be doing this the 'legit' way with the IRS, and all the government stuff a business has to do especially when you have employees...which includes having to pay unemployment insurance on them along with all of those payroll liabilities, etc...And as for the low wage of 6.50 and hour, I don't really know to many people that would actually do this for that amount, unless they are teens. Anyway, this is what I am coming up with, but if my numbers are wrong, please correct me! I wish you all the luck in the world, what a great oppurtunity...I just hope you are actually going to be getting something out of this, and not seeing yourself busting your arse, and watching the retail company rake in huge profits on these! Good luck!
  15. No I didn't use those scents, but I have heard awesome reviews for Snowtops Peanut Butter Cookie...that might work...worth a shot anyway! HTH
  16. I have used BG in the past, and I loved their oils, nice and strong in soy, but for the last few months I have been checking their site and they are constantly out of stock on so many oils. Its not worth it to me to try and rely on someone who can't keep their oils stocked. I was so looking forward to testing some new scents for this season, but heck, half the time I couldn't even get the oils I was already using from them. I have weened their oils out of my list and found replacements or just dropped the oil all together! Have moved on to other more RELIABLE SUPPLIERS!
  17. Scented, you can get the strawberry musk at AH/RE now.....they are carrying the SNC oils and that is one awesome fragrance!
  18. I love the smell of BCN's Licorice! Its so good, I tested it in soy at 1 oz pp, loved the smell, but would maybe try it at 1.3 oz pp or even 1.5...think it could be just a bit stronger!
  19. Hi all, well I have been searching and searching and I swear I saw this fo somewhere? Do any of you happen to know a supplier that is carrying this scent? Also, I smelled Banana Cake and Oatmeal raisin cookie candles by Time & Again today, was wondering if anyone is familiar with these also! I looked on the fragrance finder but there is nothing there for the Time & Again brand! Thank you for your time, its appreciated!
  20. Um, well, I really hope you will be retesting different wicks. That is some severe tunnelling going on there. Not good at all! I like the containers tho...
  21. How about something to do with Frosty the snowman?? Thinking frosty=frosting?? Thought it was worth a shot anyway!! LOL...HTH
  22. Has anyone tried any of these oils from here? I know she has had some awesome oils in the past that were sold through SNC and now are at AH/RE.....just curious if anyone is using her oils through her own website now. Thanks for any input you can give!
  23. You must be talking about the pitting on the tri-fusion candles...I noticed that, don't know if that's the look they were going for or what, but that sure is a great idea on those tri fusions. I just wonder how they burn with the 3 candles put together like that, you would think they would melt and leak between them?! Will be interesting to hear if anyone has ever tried one of those.
  24. Hi all, the primitive candle line from scentual candle is my all time favorite pillar candle. I burned these years ago, and then couldn't find them anymore, until last week! A prim store in our town is now carrying this line. The pomegranate cinnamon is my all time favorite scent! I was just curious if anyone else has ever tried these candles before. I love the simple look of them, with the light glazing that is drizzled over them and also the colors. Here is the link www.scentualcandle.com Have a great weekend!
  25. You have to try AH/RE for Strawberry scents..they have a few different strawberries...they are awesome especially the strawberry musk...hth
