  1. Mmm, I don't know...can you take a picture? Did you do the clear test before diluting?
  2. Oops, sorry, I figured that out on page 2 of the other thread:o
  3. I think maybe she means her first real batch to put for sale, not her first batch ever. Of course I could be wrong.
  4. Lol! Hey you are right! Maybe I should rename it Set Sail or something.
  5. That looks so yummy, like some delicious sorbet:)
  6. Thank you for looking everyone:smiley2: I used neon green oxide for the green apple, about .5 teaspoon.
  7. They all look great, I love how the gold is really popping in the patchouli honey.
  8. All of them are gorgeous, but the Pineapple Cilantro looks really good. I have been meaning to soap that one!
  9. Here's a question! Is it $30 per person or can my husband tag along as well? I just signed up:tongue2: You had me at "50 pound bags of lye will be available for purchase."
  10. AAA-chemicals sells it in individual containers, and I believe he lets you pick child-safe (I think!!!)
  11. Thanks for this tip! Care to share what company you use around here? The last time I tried to buy lye locally I practically had to give them my first born before they let me get a 50 pounder. It took him a week and a half of verification, checking my tax ID and all that before he let me buy it, meanwhile I have soap orders pouring out the kazoo that needed to be done. I do not plan on going back there again. The entire experience left me feeling really perturbed. I used to buy it so easily in Florida without a blink of an eye. Show tax id, drivers license, lye in the back of my truck all within 10 minutes.
  12. Yes, I sent them my art, and chose wrong reading. If I had chosen right reading the words would be backwards on the soap. Another option of course is to make my art backwards and pick right reading, lol.
  13. Not soap related but I would love to see a tutorial on bath bombs that actually stay together!
  14. You can make it in a crock pot, double boiler, or in the oven.
  15. Padparadscha does not discolor at all, and soaps beautifully! The blue in the H20 is ultramarine blue, about 1/2 a teaspoon worth. Oops, forgot to say thank you:)
  16. All made last night, all cut this morning. I did 10 bathes, here's 8 of them: Padparadscha Stone: Aromatics Elixir: Blue Chamomile: Propolis & Honey: Colloidal Oats facial bar: Green Apple, don't you just love the hand print:p: H20, I had a vision of a glass of water with a lemon wedge, don't know if I captured that: Thai Coconut, hoping the main part of the soap discolors more. The layers were supposed to be solid green, dark brown and white to represent a true coconut layer by layer. Alas I should have used cocoa powder instead of brown oxide, and much more green that what I use: My totally toxic Cherry Blossom, this one was not supposed to look like this, I really need to stop reaching for the hot pink oxide:
  17. Since I have been asked a few times, these are the choices that I chose in bold: 1. METAL CHOICE Magnesium - Same day turn-around ** Please select from the following magnesium choices: 16g (.064"/1.63mm) .080 (2.032mm) 11pt (.153"/3.86mm) 1/4" (.250"/6.35mm) 3/8" (.375/9.525mm) 2. PLATE OUTCOMEOn the finished plate the IMAGE should be: Raised or Recessed Right Reading or Wrong Reading 3. FINISHING Mark all that apply Unmounted Bevel edge (for lock-up) Holes Drilled OR Mounted Type High on: Wood Base or Magnesium Base (16 Gauge cannot be mounted on mag) Finished Plate Size Trim with extra outside image area I had mine mounted on wood, there are no holes drilled, I think its fused right onto the wood, there's no outside trim on the image area at all. I hope that helps!
  18. Bang Bang till the early morning! (ok, my mind is in the gutter tonight:o)
