    Just wondering what kind of labels everyone uses on their candles? Personally I am using plain white labels right now. What do you use?

    Would adding maybe a few drops of corn syrup for a sweetener do the trick? I've only done 1 lip balm years ago, but used peppermint FO so I didn't use sweetener. Just thinking out loud.

    Thanks, Elle, we are still under major construction, but getting there. Hope to be open sometime in mid-July. This is how I think I got my link listed on google. First you have to register there. After you log in, go to the business solutions link right below the search bar. Under the heading of Browse all our Business Solutions you will see listed website map. From there I think it is pretty self explanatory. Hope this helps.

    Going for my test with this wax tomorrow. Hopefully it will be apositive experience, but with all the great info I've gotten on this site, I'm sure it will be.

    Ok, So far I've gotten my site listed on Google for free. Now I'm having problems everywhere else. My question to all is this: Do you have to run sponsored campaigns on all other sites, or is there a way that you know of to set up your link for free? The sites I've gone to so far are Yahoo, Aol Search, Ask.com, and Google. Thought I would find out more from some experienced people in the field before I waste more time. Also, what other search engines are out there? Thanks for any help and hopefully this thread will help others as well.

    I like the one in the center personally, and I also like the idea of the watermark. Just experiment a little bit with different fonts and ways of doing your logo, and eventually it will hit you.

    Yep, Staten Island, NY....not exactly tropical, well except for this time of the year when it hits 90 degrees. We had the name, but couldn't think of a symbol for the business, and a palm tree popped into my head, and then the whole thing kind of came together. Islandgirl: yep, big star trek fan, i've seen all the hows, though I must admit I'm more of an original series fan, and I've been to quite a few conventions, I'm a huge autograph collector. There are some strange people there.

    I've been using photoshop for a few years now and still don't know more than 1/10th of it. It really is a very complex, but wonderful product.

    As far as their company goes they will NEVER get any business from me and I will be sure to let as many people as I can to boycott their company. I haven't ever heard of anything so outrageous in my life.

    The back of UPS trucks get extremely hot during the summer here, I can't imagine how hot it would be in 100 degree weather.

    I just made my cyclo spray: 2 oz Cyclo 2 ox SAO 1/2 oz FO When I sprayed it on my arm to test it, it worked great, but I think there is just too much FO in there. To me, it seems really strong so I'm going to cut it by adding another 4 oz (2 cyclo/2 sao), then see what I think.

    Well, I took the plunge today to try making bath bombs with the meatballer, and for the life of me, couldn't get the two halves to stay together with the thing. So, instead of giving up, I filled each side with my formula(followed Rita's rockhard recipe), and ended up with half circle bath bombs!(will post pics when I take them! So, I'm not sure if I wasn't holding it together for long enough, which probably is the problem, because my mixture still made the half bombs. Anybody out there have some help?

    Thanks...I wasn't sure if the citric acid would do anything to the plastic, but then again it came in a plastic bag.

    Just recieved a ton of citric acid today, only it's in a plastic bag, inside of a zip top bag. I was wondering if I could put the CA into a plastic container for easier access and storage. Any thoughts?

    So far we have all of the FO's, and wax in the basement. Vit E capsules and butters in the fridge!

    You know, I didn't really think about the type. Hmmm...I really don't know, LOL! Maybe transparent, or translucent for some products, maybe gloss or matte white for others, I'll have to check out the sites posted and take a look to see what strikes me.
