  1. Has anyone heard of them or used them before? The website is set up kind of different, but they seem to have some different dupes that I have not seen elsewhere. www.amberglocreations.com
  2. Thanks Rena for answering this... off to buy the new Crisco!
  3. Well.. I kind of am in the middle on this one. I do understand the position of the other vendor, but at the same time.. I have gone to shows, malls etc, and have enjoyed seeing a SELECTION of products. Yes, they were B&B, candles, jewelery etc, but they all had their own different flare. This is sometimes where packaging can make or break you. As a customer, I like variety. If the area you are selling in is too small to support both of you, you need to listen to your better judgement and do the right or respectful thing. You should be able to look at what you are sellling and be able to compare to the other vendor to determine if you are stepping on their toes or not. Just my 2 cents.Teri
  4. I just soaped this one again for the 5th or 6th time and I just want to stress how much difference the salt/sugar makes in the hardness of the bar. I made my first few batches minus the salt/sugar. All subsequent batches have been super hard less than 12 hours later. I was able to unmold in less than 12 hours. I love this recipe.. now if I could figure out how to get the silk to melt. I soaped this super cool with frozen goats milk. I added the salt and sugar to the goats milk then froze it. Once I mix with lye, it does not seem to generate enough heat for the silk. I soaped Peaks Gardenia and it moved quickly, but I had plenty of time to get it into the mold with just a few bursts with the SB. I added the fo to the melted cool oils. Give this recipe a try.. it really is fabulous!!Teri
  5. Oh great Carol.. I look forward to hearing your results.. I love her recipe!
  6. What a beautiful looking batch of soap! I just love all the colors!
  7. Okay.. I am running out of the Old Crisco and just wanted to see how you all are faring with the newer version? I know that Wal Mart has their brand, and if you have used it, how did it turn out? I would apreciate any info.. THanks!
  8. Awesome looking soap Top! But.. I expect nothing less from you..
  9. Can Hydrovance be added to a body butter to help add glide? I was under the impression that Hydrovance is used in conjunction with or in lieu of glycerine. My recipe has no glycerine in it, so I was not sure if this is what I need. Possibly I need to add some liquid silk to help remove the dragginess? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks! Teri
  10. Great looking candles.. I agree the pastel tins are adorable.. where did you find those?
  11. I finally soaped it will all the ingredients and this bar feels fantastic so far.. big bubbles and creamy lather.. love it!
  12. Scent Works, Sweet Cakes..both spendy, but super strong!
  13. I have to say, I love a few of their fragrances, but the CS is horrible. I have decided that there are plenty of suppliers out there that will provide a means in order to be contacted. Their prices are pretty high as well. I figure if a business wants your order, they will make themselves available. There are a few other suppliers out there that don't have phone numbers listed, but I have to say, they are pretty good about getting back to you via email.. I can live with that. It is too bad that it is the only place that supplies Select Shades..
  14. I am so happy to hear that! I rapidly scanned through all the SW posts to see what everyone raved about..
