  1. I fully anticipate it becoming one huge habit once I get your fabulous mold!! I cant' wait to swirl that slab of soap up..or at least attempt to lol! Teri
  2. DID YOU GET IT YET??? I can't wait to see it!!! :yay:
  3. Okay.. I soaped these yesterday. I used Goats milk, but forgot about the sugar and salt.. oh well.. I soaped Eucalyptus Spearmint, and NG's Orchid Rain. Both are awesome scents. They both behaved fabulously! I can't wait to use this soap! THank YOU!!
  4. Thanks so much for the update! I am always open for some modifications or improvements so that we can all enjoy a better recipe! I found that the 60mm mold was just right for my jacuzzi sized tub, so you can go even smaller for a regular tub. HTH Teri
  5. For most fo's I use about 1 Tablespoon.. very few need more and many can use less. hth Teri
  6. kjohnson, When are you adding the TD to your soap? I read that it is supposed to be added at trace? Thanks! Teri
  7. nope.. with the added SLSA you will have loads of bubbles!
  8. If you are not sure like I was.. I would call them and tell them what you use it for. Kathleen Mahoney in the graphics dept. helped me and my soap stamps really well.. wether it is m&p or cp.. nice clear impression.. the depth of my stamp seemed important..
  9. Hmmm.. Well EmpressC now I know what might have gone wrong with my failed batch of soap??? :embarasse :embarasse :embarasse :embarasse :embarasse :embarasse I added a LOT more than 1/2 tsp for my 2# batch..like triple what is suggested here.. oops.. I wonder if that is what made it turn into soap toffee?? I am such a dork.. goes to show that more is not always better... ... skipping away and kicking my feet...:embarasse
  10. You are so welcome! I sure hope you enjoy them as much as my family and friends are! I think I posted that I add 1 tsp of water as well for those in the drier climates. This seems to help minimize the spritzing a bit.. I am in Southern California and it is drier than a popcorn fart down here!
  11. Thanks Brenda! It was your posts with the Brown Sugar & Fig that scared me away from using it for my first batch. I have since read a post from CareBear that said she had the same experience with Med Fig.. could just be the fo.. I just followed the recipe in Ann's book to a tee.. I measured meticulously.. first batch I used Quiet Girls recipe.. it unmolded and cut perfectly.. so I suppose I can't complain. I just loved your "Lovely" soap.. I used that baby up in no time! It really is a fabulous bar of soap.. I am not so concerned with my soaps appearance at this point.. I just want some really creamy, rich, luxurious soap! I can always work on the rest later!
  12. Okay.. I spoke to soon! My soap looked so awesome in the mold! I got them out and the Brown sugar and fig was a solid piece of what feels and looks like toffee! I cut it and it just crumbled! The Lavender Amber cut just like cheese. It smells great at least. I will post pics of both so you can see what I mean. I followed Ann L Watsons recipe on the failed batch. This is so wierd!
  13. I did buy the EVOO.. I read after I had purchased it that you only needed to use the Pomace.. Will that eliminate the greenish hue? I used Quiet Girls recipe with 25% OO in it. I also used a recipe from Ann Watsons book.. The colors seem to be changing as I type.. I will just have to wait until they cure for a while..
  14. Girl.. your soaps look amazing.. I cp'd my first 2 batches today.. I can only hope to have soap that looks as great as yours do in a years time! Teri
  15. :yay: :yay: ! Okay.. I got ambitious.. I read all the reviews on Brown Sugar and Fig.. I chickend out and went ahead with Lavender Amber and added silk fibers for good measure.. I attempted to swirl in the log mold.. base color was a bit greenish.. so the attempted purple swirl is kind of wierd looking. First batch and no major problems.. then I decided to grow a pair and said what the heck.. so I went ahead and made a second batch with the Brown Sugar & Fig from Peaks( with added TD and silk fibers) . Now I understand the difference from 2 fragrances and acceleration. I was expecting the BS&F to seize on me based on reviews I had read. It behaved perfectly! I used 1oz/# of oils and now understand how the first batch with Lavender Amber accelerated just a bit on me. I had tons of time on my hands with Peaks Brown Sugar & Fig.. what a fabulous surprise.. I did not even color it because I thought I would not have time. Goes to show that it does depend on the supplier for the fo. I will post pics as soon as I can. I have been dreaming about this day for so long .. Thanks to so many of you that post your creations on the gallery and even more for those of you that post your failures for someone like me.. I have been reading and studying for over a year.. I am just so darn proud of myself for taking the plunge.. now .. to just figure out which recipes will not have that olive oil green hue to it.. I can't wait to swirl in slabs!! :yay: Thank you everyone for answering all my questions! Teri
  16. Oh thanks so very much everyone! Such a silly question.. but you just never know until you ask!:embarasse
  17. But.. I am about to venture into CP for the first time.. I just want to make sure that I am clear on this one thing... I want to make a batch of soap that will fit into my "3 #" loaf mold. When I enter the numbers into the soap calculator at soapcalc.com I entered 3# for the batch amount. When you determine the size of your batch you are only considering the amount of fats/oils? Or am I incorrect? I am making Quiet Girls recipe in the recipe section. I am using my 3 # loaf mold. Would someone kindly help me out with this one question.. I read Ann L. Watson's book today.. yep all of it, but I don't remember this being covered. I appreciate any help! Teri
  18. I first started stamping mp soaps. Look in the B&B gallery and you will see pics of both m&p and cp. HTH Teri
  19. I am sorry.. I never did. I just figured this recipe to make about 12-13 60 mm plastic round ornament sized bath bombs. I just took the best properties from several recipes and came up with this as my favorite mixture.
  20. Wow Carrie.. these look fantastic!!! :yay:
  21. Okay.. now I know you are bluffing! You make some fine soap.. we are loving everything you sent!!!! A little stamp could not possibly trip you up lol!
  22. I want to say it was about 22.00 with shipping for the one you see in the pics..
  23. You know what.. I don't remember?? :embarasse You can call and ask Kathleen Mahoney in the graphic arts department.. she is awesome to deal with. I understand that there is a certain type of material that they rec. for soap. Mine is mounted on wood. I was not able to order my stamp online.. way too confusing. I did everything by phone. HTH Teri
