  1. ENJOY!! Please let me know about the Huckleberry one too.. I would also love to find the Ginger Lime candle.. I guess I could always send one off to one of the companies that could dupe it for me!
  2. Romantic was one of my best selllers in the Aromatherapy line when I sold for Gold Canyon. I don't use straight soy, but boy do these throw for me in my parasoy blend.. It just might depend on what type of soy you use.. I never imagined I would find so many GC dupes in one place!! FYI ... in case you did not know.. GC's Mulled Cider can be found at Alabaster.. dead on.. and Cozy Cabin in Comfy Cabin at Creative Candle Supplies..definitely less than one ounce per pound on that one.. , and Peaks Sugar Cookie seems to be exact as well.. I don't want to model everything after GC.. but I have to admit.. they do have some great scents!
  3. I gotta go with Majestic Mountain Sage.. just got some samples and they are divine! www.thesage.com
  4. I just wanted to give some reviews on the following oils. I don't read too much about Majestic Mountain Sage, so I wanted to let everyone know how these oils are. I have poured a few of these in a 75/25 parasoy and the scent throw is HUGE! I am proud to say that I have over 200 samples in my possesion and these are at the top of list for strength oob(many are off the chart strong!) and in wax. I would not list them if I did not think they would be strong enough to add to any candle line. Here they are: Relaxation (exactly like Gold Canyon) Rain Orchid Stress- Free Energy Ocean Rain Fruit Slices (very similar to Citrus Blast with a melon twist) Elements of Bamboo Hibiscus Passion Spa Fusion Pumpkin Pie (exactly like Gold Canyon..super strong and spicy version) Acorn and Fall Leaves Sensual (exactly like Gold Canyon) Romance (exactly like Gold Canyon Romantic) Enjoy!
  5. I would highly rec. in Ultra Concentrate the Island Mango.. read the reviews on this one!.. Walk in the Woods, Fresh Comfort, Mac Apple, Green Apple, Clean Cotton, Sun Washed Linen, Pear... these are all HUGE throwers in my parasoy blend..
  6. Thanks! I am thinking you are right.. I just might have to wick up..
  7. I have been testing for almost a year. I have searched and read and then read some more.. I am hoping that someone can help me with my problem.. I currently use both 26 and 16 ounce Apothecary jars with a 75/25 parasoy blend. I add 4 grams of Polyboost 130 per pound for improving hardness ( it is really hot in so cal) and scent throw. I use the 26 and 16 ounce apothecary jars. I have been wicking with (2) 44-32-18 zincs. My candles all seem to struggle after the first 3 or 4 burns. The initial burns are perfect. Is this an oxygen issue with the height of the jars? They all seem to improve as the candle burns down a ways, but I think that the scent throw is lacking when the flames are a bit diminished around the middle of the jar. I don't want to wick up because the candle seems to burn great again towards the bottom of the jar.. so using a larger wick makes those babies kind of torch.. This is driving me crazy. Any suggestions? Should I be using a different type of wick with this mix? I know a lot of people are using this blend.. I would appreciate any feedback. By the way... I have tested the Filtech's zinc, HTP's and Filtech Ultra Cores.. none burned as good as the zincs have.. Thanks! Teri
  8. Pine and Berries or Berries and pine sound familiar to this.. I think ICS carries it.
  9. I can rec Majestic mountain sage or www.thesage.com the Sesual and Romanc are the bomb! I just ordered the Energy one and Relaxing.. The ones I tried are very strong and throw great in all wax combos I have tried.
  10. I just wanted to give Crafty a thumbs up for her awesome soaps! I just bought some from her because I am a chicken! Her soaps ROCK!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing your recipe!
  11. I contacted BCS and they informed me that the new batch of J223 is "at lower levels" of the J223 standard ( or acceptable level). They also said that the wax has not been reformulated, and that the description on their website about being newly formulated was a description that was written when it was first introduced and compared to J50. They said that this happens on occasion and that the IGI formula is exactly the same as the old one. I explained to her that people were having problems with it smoking and that the wax had a yellowish color to it unlike the older version of it. She said that this was not uncommon and that this did happen on occasion with every wax and that one pour container waxes had even more variables because of the different additives. I am under the impression that many people have commented on IGI's 4633 (J223) and hopefully we can get better results with some of the newer batches.. This is the second confirmation about the new J223 being exactly the same as the old. I also got an email from IGI stating that they are exactly the same and that no changes have been made to it. I just thought I would pass this info on to all of you that use this wax.. Have a great day! Teri
  12. Never mind.. I had a newbie brain fart... I read the supplier abbreviations.. thanks!

  15. I was wondering how long you guys were curing your candles poured with the 464? Is the scent throw really that good? I have been mixing soy with paraffin and I would love to find a good soy wax blend that has a great scent throw. THanks for the info!
  16. There is no way you will be disappointed in Tradewinds Herbal Ecstacy and Saguaro Cactus.. you might also like Mandarin Tiki, Neroli blossom ( you will only need less than 1 ounce per pound on this one.. very strong! Same with the Saguaro Cactus..) and so far, there florals are nice and strong too. I just go a big sample package from them, and there were only a couple that were not as strong and they were Coconut Cream Pie, Lime, and Orange. Which reminds me,... the Tangerine is right on too!
  17. I have to say that NG's Pumpkin Crunch Cake and Keystones Pumkin fudge are hands down the creamiest versions of pumpkin I have smelled so far..I will use one of these for my pumpkin pie.
  18. I gotta have my Peach Magnolia Raspberry.. a good twist on Magnolia! I get it from Alabaster.. it is one of my favorites for sure!
  19. You must try a few of these oils.. they are awesome in my parasoy blend. I will only use the kind that are "house fillers". Hot Fudge Brownie Mulled Cider (best I have tried.. a strong mac apple and spices type) Peach Magnolia Raspberry ( da bomb!!) Kudzu ( killer grape fragrance) Birthday Cake (declicious!) These are the ones off the top of my head.. I would never rec. if they were not really good. HTH
  20. GREAT! Now you guys all have me freaking out too.. What is the date on your lot? Thanks for the info!
  21. Sagurao Cactus.. outrageously strong... herbal smelling.. really green notes... also Herbal Esctacy... Really good! Both of these are from Tradewinds Fragrances.. HTH Teri
  22. Oh bummer!! I was so hoping for a West Coast supplier:sad2:. You got me so excited with the title of this thread. Hopefully, we will have one soon! Gotta have my 415:drool:
  23. Well, I too have tried both. I would strongly suggest SOS. I have had great success on the Ultra Concentrate fo's in my parasoy candles.. If you order volume, after $100 of fo's purchased, shipping is free. For me on west coast, this is huge. I have had a problem with an fo and they shipped me 2 free extreme concentrate bottles at no charge without asking. Customer service was awesome. Hope this helps. Teri
