  1. I haven't tried sand candles. But I have been thinking about them for quite a while. I'll bet the agate sand candle was beautiful all lit up. To iamommy who asked about the wick in my floaters I used the 44-24-18z. Just after I pour I carefully add the wicks when I first see the outer edges of the candles solidify.
  2. They are beautiful! The first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the color scheme was an ocean at sunset. But English Garden is definitely a winner!
  3. Love 'em! Beautiful clamshells and packaging too! Your labels look great!
  4. That's Yankee Doodle Dandee!! LOL Sorry-- couldn't help myself. I love it. Is it scented?
  5. Very nice! I love the colors. Lemon pound cake sounds yummy!!
  6. $22 for 24 16 oz jars?!!!!! Daaannnng! That's a sweet price. I'm gonna see if they have mine at that price.
  7. I want to thank everyone for the positive feedback and compliments. My head is the size of Jupiter now! LOL cmspath-- I used a Kodak C533 camera. They are relatively inexpensive (as far as cameras go) under $200. I wish now I could afford one with all the bells and whistles but will have to wait. Not too bad for one of their cheaper models. Its amazing how well digital photography has changed picture taking. I loved shooting so much I sometimes wonder if making candles led me to my true calling?!! On second thought... I'd have to sell a ton of candles before I could afford a photography hobie.
  8. I haven't tried them yet. I am curious too. Let us know how they turn out?
  9. I'm still sampling the FO's I got from them in my container candles. From my experience I would definitely use them and want to try out some more. Sorry I don't make soaps so my opinion is probly useless to you.
  10. Wow! Beautiful candle! And congratulations on your renewal!!!
  11. Thanks to everyone for your kind comments.
  12. I think they are nice. Don't feel bad-- I posted my first chunk candle too. Anyway-- I bet they smell way nicer than mine. Mine was made with zombie punch fo!
  13. I love marbled pillars!! Those are nice!
  14. Thanks Bev! I do love taking photos. Now if only my candles would come out as good...:rolleyes2
  15. One of my favs! I used it in my summer brochure.
  16. Yet another grouping. More votives.
  17. Another grouping. This one the color came out a little weird. But the lemon pie was delish!!
  18. Thank you Daisy. That really makes me feel good like I'm on the right track. Here are some more. The next couple of pix are candle groupings for my photo gallery.
  19. The agate was a chunk candle. Here is another chunk. I don't care for this one but it sure was a lot of fun making it. I usually make jar containers, votives, tea lights, and melts so I have been neglecting doing pillars. I am way too embarrassed to post my first pillars.
  20. Thank you. I was gonna post to say that if the pics look staged-- they are! I have been learning how to use my new digital camera... learning how to save pix.... post them... learning how to "dress" my candles. I am working on a portfolio and these are my test pix. Here is another of the first agate embed. I just learned how to do them and realized that I hadn't cleaned up the agate yet.
  21. Here is a pic of my first candle I sold!!
  22. Yay!! It finally worked. That was a pic of some of my votives. Here is a close up. The bottom of my votives have been getting some small white spots after sitting for a couple of weeks.
