FO sitting or being mixed into wax for a few minutes isn't going to cause the scent to burn off or evaporate at a rate that's noticeably going to affect the throw of the end product. The reason you use FOs that are made for candle making is because they're formulated to withstand the heat. Some FOs need to be added at a higher temp for the wax to absorb them.

If you're not labeling the candles immediately, at least do something to identify them once they've been poured. I've got several candles that I can't even identify by color or scent. Now I always have a piece of paper with the scent name in the box the candles are cooling in. When I remove them I stick a piece of masking tape on the candle(s) with the scent name.

If you have Microsoft Office, open the picture using the Microsoft Office Picture Manager. You can crop, compress, fix the colors, and remove red eyes too.

I wasn't able to get Oxygen to blend in J50. That's probably the fourth FO from as many suppliers that's given me that problem. I don't blame anyone for it. Every FO isn't going to work my wax, or any other wax. It might not blend, it might turn the wax an ugly color, it might not throw... That's the reason for testing. If an FO doesn't work out for me in candles, I try to find another use for it, or sell it.

What temperature is the wax when you add the FO? I'm wondering if you're adding it at too low a temperature.

Those terms don't mean a thing. Scent throw is not determined by the amount of FO used to make a candle. Scent throw can't be measured by smell either because it's subjective.
