My question is how do your candles hold up with temperatures being SO HOT? I could have done our Farmer's Market but here in Louisiana it's just TOO hot and humid, my candles would melt and my bath bombs would swell out of there packaging (ask me how I know) I do make lotions also, but my biggest income comes from my candles and bath bombs..... WSSP has an excellent spa-like scent called Aqua Spa that for 2 years running has been my TOP seller in bath bombs for both men and women. I just found another one from GL called Citrus Bergamot that fits the same catagory. AND last but not least, I agree with BCN's Basil Sage Mint. Beverly

I use the select shades exclusively for my bath bombs...the only color that was challenging for me was getting a nice lavender, but with trial and error have it mastered. Love them! Beverly

I HATE Rose (never have poured it and I won't add it to my line YUCK!!) AND Sex on the Beach...way too STRONG!!! Beverly

I've been wearing Bare Escentuals for a couple of years and I will NEVER go back to any other kind of makeup. I buy mine on ebay and I just recently lucked out and got a kabuki brush for $7.50 (ebay also). I have combination skin with a few dry area's in the winter. Once you find your correct shade your hooked!!! LOVE the minerals!!! Beverly

Also if it's humid or rainy don't even try to make bath bombs...coming from Louisiana ask me how I know??? I've had the exact results on rainy days OR if it's going to rain Beverly

My S-I-L has requested candles made with her 3 favorite scents...Basil, Bergamot, and Sage....Will I have to buy e/o's or is there one supplier that might have these 3 scents in an f/o? Hi, I have tested many recipes, found the perfect one, altered some of the oils and I've made two different batches cut down to 1/4 batch with excellent success....yesterday I made my first FULL batch and it is separating???? What happened??? Can I melt down and add some stearic acid (needs to be slightly thicker) and e-wax and pulse with my stick blender? I am in NO MEANS throwing in the towel.....BUT it has soured me on co-signments....IF they want to carry my products I will give them a test run and then if they do well... THEY will have to buy OUTRIGHT from me!!!! AND of course there WILL be a contract stating that!!!! When I made the statement that I will have to re-package EVERONE OF THEM...her reply was...oh, is that because I put them in the bag???? DUH!!!!!! AND NO comment when I said several of them had melted candle wax on them... NO APOLOGY..... and by the looks of the bags, she didn't PUT them in the trash bag...more like she DUMPED them in, AFTER she twisted the tops of the cello bags...just not salvagable ...I'm STILL fuming here GRRRRRRR! One of my sister's neighbors (and supposed friend) has a high-end designer type store here locally and she "WAS" carrying by bath bombs on co-signment....WHICH I WILL NEVER DO AGAIN!!!!! First of all, she marked them up SO high ($10.50 a piece) she only sold 5 in the 8 months she had them. So I decided to pull them and she was in agreement...well I called her ahead and told her I was coming today to pick them up. When I got there she had DUMPED them ALL (31) into a plastic GARBAGE bag which of course has RUINED the look of ALL the cello bags they were in...all scrunched up and a few with melted candle wax on them SOOOO it's going to cost me to re-package and label EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM GRRRRRRR!!!!!! And NO I didn't have a contract !!!!!! SO DON'T DO WHAT I DID!!! AND YES I did say something to her about HAVING to re-package them ALL and did I get an apology????? NO!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! Now mind you this store has "DESIGNER" furniture....high priced I might add, with sculptures and expensive type home decor items that are well placed, VERY classy.....so why did she treat my product with such dis-regard??? I also told HER she wouldn't sell HER things in that condition!!!!! I'm SO MAD I could SPIT!!!!! I just HAD to vent! Beverly

GOOD for you!!!! I've been making B&B for 3 years and added candles a little more than a year ago, but because of the money factor settled on only 2 f/o's for candles....UNTIL recently...I added Creme Brulee and Birthday cake (request from my niece) and OH MY GOODNESS busines has been WONDERFUL! I SO MUCH prefer making candles SO addictive! It seems like weekly I'm adding a new bakery scent....just think of ALL the money I've lost NOT having bakery scents , I have cinnamon buns and sugar cookie coming next week. I had never added the bakery scents as I really disliked them....guess what... I think I DO like them...now :whistle: ! AND we "did" have a local place to buy f/o's, wax, additives, ect. until about a month ago...of course I discovered them JUST before they moved to Kilgore, Texas after they HAD been here in "my" city for at least TWO YEARS!!!! It would have been worth the drive to save on shipping BUT the mother who ran the shop is ill and her daughter is "supposedly" running it now NEVER returns e-mail OR phone calls and NEVER has what you need in stock, so they have LOST my business as well as GrumphyGirls (she lives nearby)! I ordered mine form Natures Garden....my first order with them so I have NO idea exactly what I will be getting. I'm hoping it has the "Iced" frosting scent with it?????

A Buttercream f/o to make a frosted scented cinnamon buns or can a vanilla be added? I also have straight cinnamon.... Thanks, Beverly
