  1. I'm not sure if this one qualifies as "Exotic" but KY's Mediterranean Fig is a VERY HIGH END smelling scent. I had been looking for a Trapp candle dup with same name and after finding KY's I haven't looked any futher. Just a suggestion ! Beverly
  2. Thanks Candle Man.... (by the way are you the wick man Becky suggested I speak to from JS)? After a LOT of reading I "think" I either need CD-8's or LX-16's with this wax and "my" glassware. And I was ALL set to pour bunches of candles today , I got in a bunch of new f/o's yesterday! :cry2: Beverly
  3. Bamboo is a must hmmmmm, and the only other one I've tried so far is the Vanilla Grapefruit. I will most certainly be ordering more Bamboo! Beverly
  4. Again I second the Mediterranean Fig...it's the BEST available as I've tried ALOT of Mediterranean Fig's and none can compare, VERY upscale smelling, and I just got the Snuggle Baby yesterday and will be pouring some candles with that today oob it's divine! Beverly
  5. I second ky's Snuggle Baby...hmmmm and Aqua Spa from wholesalesuppliesplus because up until my customers discovered BNL Lavender Basil that was my TOP selling f/o for candles, bath bombs and lotion for nearly 3 yrs. It's a very clean upscale gender friendly scent. Beverly
  6. HI, I've just bought a case from Just Scents, it's JSB 1 50-50 and I'm not sure if my problems are the nature of a blended wax or if it's a wick problem. I've been using RRD-47 wicks (which I used for my EcoSoya). When my candle is lit initially it is smoking (black) for awhile until it's burned down some, after 3-4 burns it doesn't do that....BUT I'm having black soot around my candle glass when the candle is blown out? I DO KNOW all candle have soot but I guess I'm used to the soy which I didn't have that problem (visible at least..white soot?) My question is...IS it the nature of a 50-50 blend wax to do this OR is it my wick? Since I was VERY lucky finding the RRD's for the soy wax I had been using right away, wicking problems are a new thing for me. ANY and all advice is MOST welcome My glassware size is 3 x3 or 3 x3 1/2. Beverly
  7. This is VERY hard to narrow down.... but if I HAVE to.... 1.) Bittercreek North 2.) KY 3.) Just Scents On my list to test some would be: Greenleaf, Nature's Garden and Peaks in that order. Beverly
  8. I keep mine natural (cream) and speaking of which whom do you use as a supplier for yours....my favorite is ky and I also buy from candle science as I like their version too and just rename it to Island Fig.
  9. I agree JS rocks....but rachf19 and jordan ya'll didn't tell me "which" f/o your referring to from JS? Beverly
  10. I'm having the same problem with you, it won't allow me to send a message? Try my e-mail :beverly_langston@hotmail.com AND PLEASE forgive the private messages back and forth???
  11. Thanks for the info.....:embarasse ...I know better than to judge a scent without burning it, and I SO love the scent of Baby Magic.... soooo I WILL burn it tonight!!!! And make another candle to give to my son (soon-to-be-first-time-DAD)! AND JORDAN IF you are the wick lady (Becky from JS) said I need to talk to YOU...but I'm not able to pm you on this board???? PLEASE email me???? (I hope its ok to send this message this way to Jordan?) Beverly
  12. Christmas Cookies? I've had several requests lately for bakery scents which up to now I had not been carrying...Yankee Christmas Cookies is at the top of my list to get next (I already ordered Birthday cake from KY, and Creme Brulee from BCN). Since this is new territory for me I thought I'd ask all of you for some suppliers. I've never smelled Christmas Cookies before. I'm new to this board and I'm a HAPPY :bliss: camper reading all the posts (although it will take awhile)!!! Beverly
  13. I bought 2 lbs of shea butter as part of a co-op and it's not a solid butter consistancy but more a creamy consistancy. Has ANYONE ever run into this kind of shea butter? I bought it to use for my bath bombs but I had to buy shea butter from my usual supplier because when my finished bath bomb went in the tub it left a gooey mess in the tub. I also tried to use it in a whipped shea recipe and that also was a disaster??? So now I'm afraid to use it for anything. And of course after my first experience I emailed the person whom hosted the co-op and NEVER got a reply! That was my one and only experience with a co-op buy.... comments anyone? Beverly
  14. Hi, I'm new to this board and I'm loving the fact that it it SO enlightening with so many reviews! I absolutely LOVE the candle from B&BW Henri Bendel Fig. I would really be a super-happy camper if I could find a "true" dup of that scent. I did buy a Fig Leaf from the supplier From Nature With Love and although its really nice it isn't a dup of the candle called FIG.....has anyone found a true dup of that candle scent? TIA, Beverly
  15. I've ordered several scents recently and here's my reviews in JSB 1 50-50 wax: Baby Magic IS light poured up.. but I haven't burned it. Dead on dupe (spoke with Becky via phone and I mentioned it smelled really light and she said I was the first to say that???) IS IT STRONGER when burned???? Cherish: I first got a sample and loved it enough to buy a pound. I put it in wax and I've been burning it, it's a nice, LIGHT (to me...maybe I have candle nose?) upscale, clean f/o. Maybe better for B&B? Exhale: Another sample and bought a pound, and I like this one best as it is a "bit" stronger, also have been burning this one...and sold my first candle in that scent last night. My next purchase from Becky WILL be (besides a case of wax) Katie Jo's Pink Lemonade as that one IS strong OOB (sample) Has anyone else thought her f/o's on the light side? Beverly
  16. I tried a sample of the Lavender Cucumber Sage and to me it was weak, as is the Ocean Breeze and the special Meadow... and forget the Bamboo ECCK! On the other hand the Lemon Chiffon is a good strong one and I keep a supply of the Mediterranean Fig hmmmm!
