I usually buy unscented but.. I love a good coconut, vanilla bean noel but B&BW's is way too strong. Paris B&BW's first one, Sweat Pea , Chanel #5 maybe a light berry or strawberries and cream. I love SW's London Lemon Curd in a lotion. hth

I have the Shades of grey books but don't plan on reading them. Not what I thought they would be or my interest anymore. But will jump on the Filth Band Wagon if I can sell a candle with the name. Maybe instead of Fifty Shades I'll call it Filthy Shades and swirl with gray. Oh, and tie with black leather.

What do you mean oil? They use Alcohol and FO. BCN's message board has a long thread on this, very informative. I too think the shape might have something to do with it. The square ones I have don't melt the edges either.

The tags are 1 1/2w X 1 3/4 L I have them printed, so this is what they are now. I use to make my own with a business card and fold them. I'd printed front and back on one side and the two insides on the other. But condensed all the info to just a tag, half the size of the business card. Then the printer said she could make them smaller and you could still read it. She had the brown craft stock too so I changed to that from the white. I used the Jelly jars when I first started and still tied the Homespun. My first wholesale store was in Metamora, IN. He sold 100 candles the first weekend. I only had about 10 scents in his store and he didn't sell any other candles. He was a great seller, kept one he had burned to show how clean the glass was and always had one burning. Any other store and I probable wouldn't have sold any. Soy candles were brand new then... Any way I'm rambling, I have the template in Print Shop if you want to get an ideal.

I use soy flakes and just keep in the box they come in. Use to buy a skid at a time and stored boxes in garage winter and summer, no problem. I move the wax in the house and start using from the box. Then use the box for shipping and the big plastic bag for garbage. I figure the warehouse where it is stored before selling to us doesn't heat or cool.

I have been tying my candles with Homespun from the beginning, about 12 yrs. I use brown lids now but that's about all that has changed. The purple one is a perfume scent, I put sheer ribbon on it. Plus my brown tags are a little smaller.

This is crazy, I just want to quit it all. The business is just changing too much.

There are so many suppliers that have gone OOB without warning. I hate testing all over again. I'm going to discontinue several too.

I agree Wild Honeysuckle is great. Buttercream, Maple Nut Crunch, Burning Love, and more but can't remember.

No you usually don't add any more FO. If I have wax left over after coloring and scenting and I am not using it. I will remelt to about 130* and pour into another mold.. The wax is not new wax it's already had FO added once. You could add a little more scent if it's not strong enought. But it may start to leak if you add to much.

I always order 1 bottle at a time. Don't wait to have a nice order and save on shipping.

I got PPS from CS today and it's ok but has a spice I don't like. I like a mix of Tenn Candle Supply and a little NG. Most PPS have a spice, don't know what it is but I don't like it at all. What did you use that you are tired of?

Don't forget Chestnuts and Brown Sugar. Haven't tried the plain Oatmeal Cookie but will with next order.

I would try Chestnuts and Brown sugar from JS or Maple Nut Crunch from Bluegrass/Elements when they get all BG's oils in. I keep checking every day, only 2 in so far. These are not exactly the same but very close, mixed they are wonderful...

May have put the wrong FO in the bottle. I have had that happen about 4 times in the past 12 years. If it was a lb bottle I would call them.

Oh yes, it was the best. I have tried a few but none were the same. I don't think the suppliers/makers know what it smelled like. Maybe I don't either, it's been so long.
