  1. I have electric tin warmers and have had them on for almost 12 years. Just change a light bulb and back on they go 24/7. A bulb will last for years before it goes out. These are Irvin's Country Tin petite warmers.
  2. What wax are you guys using for embeds. I have always mixed my soy 435 with a harder/pillar type. Like Strahl & Pitsch or KY's votive wax. But lately the embeds have frosted, turned almost completely white. So rather than keep trying other natural waxes I'm going with a paraffin. So need some ideals, tried a IGI 6006 and 4786 mix but it soft. Added a plain paraffin IGI 1239 to the mix and it's a lot better. Just want to buy a slab and not mess with mixing any more. I'm out of these two now IGI 6006 and 4786.
  3. I was just going to suggest BB, The Soap Queen. On one of her videos she says to add just a little white soap to your clear M&P to give it a more vibrant color. If you go to Ebsy and look for soap you will see some of the most beautiful soap and more color than imaginable. I love the polka dots, always have. http://www.etsy.com/listing/87890903/soap-gift-set-3-handmade-glycerin-soaps?ref=sr_gallery_5&sref=&ga_search_submit=&ga_search_query=handmade+glycerin+soaps&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_page=4&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade%2Fbath_and_beauty
  4. I thought this was a scent question. You might want to ask again under a different heading. I know I've seen color discussed but with the way the search is working you can't find answers that way. I would love to know the answer because I prefer white suds.
  5. When I made them, 415 wax, used a HTP31. Not sure what is comparable with the CD wick. I don't see a problem with recycling baby food jars. They are made to reheat in and are about the size of a votive holder, which we use over and over. And I don't need no preaching, I have an opinion, no one has to listen to me.
  6. I have been using a Micro for 12 years on my 4th one. And have never had a scent pass on to any other. I have made soap but mostly soy wax, spilled all over the inside all the time. Strange???
  7. How many have tried this? I thought I would order fro BB, since it's the only place I have seen it. Always liked rebatching, adding extra butters and the scent was always so nice. Like the grubby look too. My favorite one to make was green soy crayon for color, Pear from Bear Lab and Ginger from Lebermuth with Shea, Coco and Coconut milk. Have you tried and what have you all done with them?
  8. I bought this when I started with M&P, it was fun to mess with all. http://shop.sficcorp.com/soapbasesamplepack.aspx
  9. I can't see anything your missing. They all sound and look so good I want to buy every single one. Great site.
  10. David did you sell candles before you started making them yourself? I use to be on the old BCN's forum using 415 soy wax. I think we emailed back and forth for awhile before you started head first into candle making.

  11. Natures Garden had an Open House this past year and had all their FO's their to smell. What they did was use the 1 oz plastic bottles, put a cotton ball in each then added some scent. Worked really good and no spills. Might be too strong for use as samples of scented wax though.
  12. 25 w with the small bottom are every where. I love electric warmers and have used them for over 12 years. These are nice warmers, both daughters bought one. I think they both got the black, it goes with every style. I told her to pick several at Walgreens cause we can resell and make $5 bucks off them. More than if we bought from the company and paid shipping.
  13. I buy CD's from CandleWic but have never seen CDN's.
  14. I have always mixed the oils into the lye as soon as the lye is dissolved. Some recommend this way and others wait and cool. I just could never wait..
  15. I use LX 14 for a votive and that's with container wax.
  16. That is the most beautiful blanket I ever saw. Since I can only do the chain stitch and not too well at that. I really see the work and love you put in such a wonderful gift.
  17. The Candle Makers Store is wonderful and very strong.
  18. I didn't think so when I tested years ago. I really like Bluegrass, smells like the candy.
  19. I have never had a problem with a 25 watt bulb melting and throwing my tarts great. Very few have a 40w bulb. they just get too hot. IMHO CO-OP is great for me. But the price will be about $9-10.00 per warmer before shipping. At least that's what I was told.....
  20. Where is the thread, I thought it was a sticky, of the FO's that smells the same? I need one that smells like At Wicks Ends Butt Naked. It was so good and strong, good seller all year. Thanks
  21. When I smelled my neighbors Magnolia flower, I thought It had a little citrus in it. Do you smell that? Maybe a little pink grapefruit would do the trick.
  22. I talked to a rep named Rusty Jenson, he flat out said that the "bosses" only want to deal with large accounts. Who is your account rep. I'll give him a call.
  23. Well looks like, after talking to a rep., that they only sell to the big guys. Contracts with Bed Bath and Beyond, Krogers and such are what they are looking for. They are in Utah along with some other warmers companies. Makes you wonder if the same big investors all know each other?
