  1. I'm not sure that site is a candle supply where they tell you what wax, wicks and scent you are buying. You need to know the type and name of the wax you are testing, what wicks CD's, CDN's, HTP, RRD etc and size 14, 18, 35?? But if you are in Canada I don't know any suppliers.
  2. Paraffin last forever. I have seen candles 50 years old ... really. Bees wax last forever too. But soy is a different baby. They can look like crap as soon as they are poured but can last for a few years. I have a paraffin candle in a square jar, that has no wet spots and still smells great, doesn't have a lid either. It's 15 years old, never burned it cause I made it to go in a jar with a shade. I love paraffin just hate the clean up, so I make soy.
  3. NG's Christmas Splendor and Pumpkin Pie Spice from Tenn.
  4. I guarantee I can't type. 415 is the same as 125. I don't believe they sold anything with cotton seed and 435 has it. It's 64* this afternoon and I could pour the oil off the top of my tarts and make another batch.
  5. TKB deals in mineral make up and with recipes being in minuet portions they must be the same every time. But with soaps it's just not that critical, I wouldn't think.
  6. Just an FYI KY's 125 is GF/GB 414 same wax. I gua-ran-tee.
  7. Yesterday it was 102* the hottest it's been all summer. It's 70* right now and showers. So guess the trouble is here till the heat comes on.
  8. I just answered a post about oil on top of wax.. Mine haven't had any for a couple of months. So I walk down stairs to move some tarts from one room to another and WTF they are covered with oil. Poured about 600 and 1/4 have oil. I hate my life.. Excuse me while I go slit my throat..
  9. I have some from AWE and Gen Wax, I think. You can have them just pay shipping. Have had them for awhile but they smell fine. I just never bothered to make a watermelon scent.
  10. I always have another thermometer hanging in my PP. The best I have used is a candy/deep fryer submersible thermometer. One is made by Springfield the other is Rowoco. Can not find either online. Here is a link of similar ones. http://www.capitalcityrestaurantsupply.com/prodDetail.cfm/1571519,Candy%20Deep%20Fry%20Thermometer%202-1%204%22%20dial%201,MX1 I use 435 soy wax and heat to around 165 too, add 1.5 FO per lb. I do have seepage sometimes, don't know why but it drives me nuts. It's not your PP it's the wax. But tomorrow you might get perfect, no leaking candle from the same batch. Maybe it's the weather?????? Just heat the tops of your candles with the heat gun and they should be fine. AND DID I SAY I HATE SOY WAX!
  11. I had the same problem when I made these, that was about 8 years ago so I'm sure things have changed. I had to add an even higher melt point wax to prevent it. The wax your using has a way too low of a melt point. I think I even added some micro 180 MP to them. Even heard you could add high melt glue sticks to harden it up. There use to be a lot of info on this site about them but I don't know how to go back that far. Maybe someone who knows will pipe in.
  12. I bought a bottle last time I ordered and it doesn't smell anything like KY's or the CandleMakers Store. Smells more like a baked scent to me. Has anyone tried either of the above to compare?
  13. Your PP must be different from mine. The inside doesn't have any holes for handles, it's solid and smooth. It's probable wax that has dripped from your ladle and hardened only to melt next time your heating. Just looks like it's leaking.
  14. Masterbuilt 20100809 Butterball Oil-Free Electric Turkey Fryer and Roaster? Not sure how that would work...
  15. Nothing yet, but I'm going for it anyway. Have ordered a melting tool and some crystals from Amazon and Ebay. Plus I wanted to go to Micheal's but have been trying real hard to stay home. At least till my stuff comes in. I think what I ordered it way too small, we'll see.
  16. I want to buy some to decorate my granddaughters jeans. Has anyone used them so they can recommend a brand or tips to using? And a good place to buy? TIA
  17. Does anyone remember the name of the company that sells warmers to Hobby Lobby and maybe Walmart. I have looked for hrs as I use to know this but just can't come up with anything. I know they sell to us now and wanted to place an order. We have had conversations about them here before but I can't find a thing. I think they are in Utah too. TIA
  18. Of course using a button hole attachment is not hard. I meant the same as you did. Marking where to put them and the buttons along with a kinda stretch material. HA that will be tough to get right.
  19. This is a really hard project, buttons and button holes are the worst. JMHO
  20. I have three and will send a sniffy of all. NG 's Leather Jacket & New Car Scent. The CandleMakers Store Leeather. Your customers could smell and see which one they like.
  21. Sounds Like Apple Jack and Peel to me. Don't know where the leaves name comes from but I haven't smelled it so I maybe wrong.
