  1. That's one of my favorite JS scents. I thought it was right on target - smelled just like the real Chai Tea.
  2. I ordered my wax last week and usually get my order in two days but on the second day (Sat) it didn't arrive. Now it's Tuesday, still no wax. Becky called Fedex and spent an hour on the phone reaming them out - found out my order was lost. It was finally delivered on Wednesday. AND she got me a 40.00 gift certificate in free shipping from Fedex! I know a lot of suppliers could care less about your package once it leaves their warehouse and leave you to sort out the "lost in transit" or other shipping issues on your own. I thought it was really nice of her to go above and beyond. It shows that she really cares about her customers.
  3. I use mostly LX and HTP wicks with my parasoy blend (JSB 50/50). Which blend are you using?
  4. I'm trying to get the trademark thing straight as well. So Cucumber Melon can't be trademarked?
  5. Once I post a photo of the individual label on a jar or tin you'll see that it really isn't that busy. It really looks nice curved around the jar.
  6. Any ideas? I was thinking Sugared Figs but not sure about that.
  7. My scanner isn't working so I had to take a digital photo. The background is not grey as it appears in the photo - it's a tan parchment color. I'm curious what all of you pros think of it?
  8. Here's a thread with all the supplier links. http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23199
  9. I just got my sample pack order from Flicker and I am very impressed with her fragrance oils. I'm definitely putting an order in for Brown Sugar and Fig, Cranberry Fig and Red Clover. Those are the only FO's I've tested so far. Can't wait to get to the rest!
  10. Thanks for the instruction! I'm going to order some pillar/votive wax to test. I'll let you know how they turn out.
  11. I'm going to attempt to make a chunk container candle. Is it possible to do with a parasoy blend? Or would I need to use straight paraffin for the chunks? The only wax I have on hand other than my JSB 50/50 is J50. Another question regarding wicking a chunk container. Can I expect to have to wick down on these?
  12. I use JSB 50/50 which I pour between 160-180. It's so much nicer to just add FO, color and pour! Great hot and cold throw.
  13. I'll be ready to print labels after that is done. I have no clue about labels though. Sorry if this sounds like a silly question but what should I look for when I buy blank labels? Is there a program I can download for free to use for lining them up and printing them? TIA, Sab
  14. I just placed my first order with Candlechem yesterday - actually bought a few sample bottles on Ebay. Hoping they work well because they are close to me shipping wise.
  15. I'm usually able to use the same brand in one container but different sizes depending on FO. I have 3 different brands that I use at the moment for 4 different sized containers.
  16. Thank you so much for that link, Monica. I have been looking for that exact jar for weeks. I've searched all over the internet. Can you order online at that site or do you have to call orders in?
  17. That's actually the supplier that I wasn't happy with.
  18. I placed an order with a supplier for 9 oz BW jars. I really love these jars but wasn't happy with the customer service, etc. I'm looking for a fairly straight jar 9 oz and up. The jars that look like a large bulb don't work well for me. Any ideas on where I can find them?
  19. I ordered by phone because they're shopping cart online wasn't working. I ordered a 12 piece case of 9 oz bail wire jars (to test). The shipping was 18.00! They refused to quote me a shipping price over the phone. I asked the girl to please email me before they were shipped with the final quote. They never did and just shipped them. I really like the jars but I don't want to order from them again. Any ideas on where I can get these jars?
  20. You should have someone else test the scent throw. After I've completed my own testing (wicks, etc) I send all my candles to my neighbor to test the scent throw. I've done so much pouring that my nose is fried. She always tells me the candle scented her entire house when I could barely smell it 2 feet away.
  21. Thanks for all the recommendations!
  22. I'm actually looking for an Apple mixed with something like cinnamon, etc. I just can't trust my nose.
  23. I've tried BCN Apple Pie, JS Apple & Cinnamon. Both were offensive to my nose. :rolleyes2 I think the problem is that I don't really like the Apple FO's so I can't really judge how they smell. But I need a good Apple something for my line. Any recommendations on good sellers?
  24. Can you order online at www.cenzo.com?
  25. I stick mine in the fridge for 15 minutes and they pop right out. If that doesn't work the freezer usually does.
