  1. They all look great-but I gotta admit the Burberry's still my fav!
  2. Nope, I just used the standard setting on soapcalc-I think it's 38-but as long as it will harden eventually I'm ok, lol. Thanks:)
  3. So far I've only made CP 4 times, and it's all still curing (omg what an awfully long wait THAT is, lol). The first batch I made with just a basic recipe and those bars turned super hard, but the 2nd batch I made was almost a month ago, and it's still not hard hard- I can still squeeze it and leave an indentation(sp?). So I am wondering if it can take over a month sometimes to harden up?
  4. Somewhere I saw a site that told how you can figure out how many lbs of soap to make to fit a mold, but I can't for the life of me find it again, does anyone else happen to know?
  5. i'm another weirdo too cuz i also think it feels sticky at first.
  6. OMG that's exactly what my problem is (well one of em anyways). I try to swirl in a log mold and it never goes all the way through. Ok I'm feelin a little better now dammit, lol.
  7. The oils were between 105-110 and the lye was-I think 120-125. Maybe that's the problem? I know I read the lye was supposed to be around 100-110 but I just get too stinkin impatient. The FO was soothing sandlewood from Millcreek. *Duh* You know, now that you mention it- the top does remind me of the "brains" example on the millers soap page-only a milder version.
  8. That soap looks really cool & refreshing!
  9. That looks great, how did you get the top to look like that?
  10. Nope, no saran wrap, I have a wood soap mold with a wood cover. Today when I checked it I can't really see any bubbles on the very ends, but in the middle I can still see bubbles, and it still looks a little oily there also, perhaps they will go away?
  11. Ahhhh more burberry, that stuff is awsome.
  12. I made sure there were no air bubbles, kept the SB below the surface and when I poured there was no bubbles, they just seemed to appear outta nowhere.
  13. Looks nice and swirly to me! (so far I haven't been able to swirl all the way through either...).
  14. I'm not a coffee person but that looks good!
  15. This is the second time that this has happened. I poured the soap in the mold put the top on and wrapped a towel round it-peaked at it a coupla hrs later and there they were-little bubbles on the top. So I left the top off but that didn't seem to help-they are still there. What am I doing wrong??
  16. Great looking soap you got there!
  17. Hey why can't I get mine to look like that dammit!! LOL Good job:highfive:
  18. I don't sell it but I think it's cheaper for me to buy the ingredients and make it vs. buying it ready made. I've made whipped shea and whipped shea & mango, and seem to have better luck if I don't melt the hard butters all the way- I just nuke em till they're soft & just starting to melt. HTH.
  19. Summary of values:Hardness36 to 47Cleansing14 to 22Condition45 to 80Bubbly lather14 to 33Creamy lather16 to 35 It's on soapcalc under the soap qualities tab.
