  5. Very Cool! Going to check out Whole Foods
  6. I guess my question is this: since I am going to have to pay S/H anyway why worry about it being in Texas (in my case). I want to know what is good From Texas sources I can get Ecosoya PB and Advanced (heard ecosoya is good) Cargill C-3 Dont know anything about this one EZ Soy (junk Ive heard) Golden 402 and 444 Know nothing about this one either. I am wanting to do container candles. Now I need to study wicks as well.
  7. Just thought I would chime in and say these look VERY cool and I would love to learn to make something like this!
  8. Always soap then scrub. I dont consider the scrub dirty, just oil and stuff for my thirsty skin...
  9. My favorite of all time is a clean almond. Not cherry scented. I cant seem to find one anywhere though...
  10. aww that makes me sad about ez soy. The price was right and it was flakes too! Guess I have to keep looking!
  11. I could use some of that! Looks great and I'm sure it smells good enough to eat!
  12. It looks good enough to eat and the swirl, well lets just say you have it down.
  13. Another Meth lab owner checking in, lol. Our neighbors have to think the same thing with me and my husband making concoctions in the middle of the night with dust masks and goggles on. I am one of those that is still on the first three cans of lye that I bought from lowes, I made it a point to tell them I was a soapmaker. He was like why didn't you pay cash!! Haha nothing to hide here. No room, too much soap curing everywhere.
  14. This sounds yummy. Cant wait to get my shea and try this out!
  15. crafty and scents, I think the flakes/pellets may be the way to go. I have to buy oils for my soapmaking and always dread having to break up the solid ones. Plus I can get a pretty good price on them at bittercreek.
  16. Whew! Thanks for that! It is giving me plenty to do. I have lots of options as I am in Texas. I just don't know the differences between the different kinds of soywaxes. I am looking at the glossary and the ecosoya site now.
  17. I read the how tos on the main page and I have a few questions. Is there a glossary online of candle and additive terms? The main page didnt really go into additives and I know sometimes they are needed. I am also looking for somewhere to buy bulk blocks of soywax. I've heard about ecosoya but dont know much about it (or anything else lol). Thanks for having me
