  1. Beautiful unity candle and the flip-flops are just way too cute!
  2. Yeah, something like that except I was a lot more mobile. I covered a lot of ground in that little apartment in a short amount of time.
  3. Reminds me of the time when I first got married. I couldn't tell the difference between the instant coffee and the instant tea. :rolleyes2 I had cute little matching canisters way back then. I took the lid off of one and took a big whiff. Snorted ice tea up my nose. Gawd, that burned. Not a pretty sight seeing your new bride of two days with tears running down her face and brown stuff comming out of her nose running through the apartment yelling, "&%$#@ it burns, it burns!" I've used tea bags ever since.
  4. Don't know how I missed this thread. Your flower is VERY nice! I'd make some in red and call them Pointsett...Ponsett...Poinsett...Christmas Plants!
  5. I like SFIC and there is a co-op going on now in the Co-op forum.
  6. I agree. By stalling her, she won't give up. Then he (hubby) will start to feel uncomfortable around her. Honesty is the best policy. Or as Barney Fife would say, "Nip it, nip it, nip it!" No one will be a better tester than you! You know what you are looking for and you have your reputation on the line. If she is just wanting free candles then she is liable to tell you anything you want to hear to keep the supply coming. Not that she would, but she doesn't have a stake in it.
  7. My MIL used to "can" jelly that way. She just poured the melted paraffin on top of the cooled jelly. She never actually canned it. It kept good for years. She would even wash the paraffin after the jelly was gone and remelt it for next years batch. She got it at the grocery store too. I think it was called Gulf Wax. It's a wonder she didn't kill the whole lot of us. :rolleyes2
  8. I don't know about the logo but you can buy fonts on a lot of sites like http://www.fonts.com/ but they aren't exclusive. I've bought fonts from here http://www.graphxedge.com/fonts/ Too be exclusive you would need someone to design them just for you. Probably very expensive. Or, you can do it yourself with a program called Font Creator. I got this one http://www.high-logic.com/fontcreator.html You can download a free trial to start. It does not work great with Vista but you can get around that.
  9. Waaaay to go! Nice write up too!
  10. With all the women on that island, I'm sure you and Artcwolf will have no problems with sunburn. Fret not.
  11. I'm not that worried about me working with it. Although, I have put a small bead in my mouth for safe keeping when re-stringing a piece. :embarasse I'm more concerned about selling something with lead in it. What I mean is, as a consumer I'm not sure I'll buy a piece with lead in it. So, I suppose I shouldn't expect anyone to want to buy from me if I sold a piece with lead in it or if I couldn't tell them if it does or not. People with their lawsuits and health issues. You never know when one will bite you in the a$$. All of this concern coming from someone who still hasn't mastered a simple wrap yet. But I'm working on it! Thanks for the replys.
  12. Beautiful colors! I espacially like the blue one.
  13. I got a small bottle of it at Michaels in the cake decorating section. Come to think of it, I might have seen it at Walmart in their craft/cake decorating area too.
  14. I have a flash drive but I rarely use it. I usually burn everything on my computer to a cd at least once a week. When I remember. One mistake I made was just burning a shortcut of a program to the cd. You have to burn the actual program including the start up and everything it needs to run. I always keep an extra copy, burned on a seperate cd, of every program I buy. I also keep a backup cd of everything on the computer so, my backups have a backup. Yep, I've lost everything too, twice. As far as Carbonite and other like businesses, no way would I do it. As I understand it, you are paying someone you don't know to have access to everything in your computer? Including passwords? Banking files? And they are keeping that record? In this day and age of the frauds and identity thiefs, I wouldn't even think about it. Honestly, if you don't know how to save your important things then it's time to find out how. I don't know much more than the on/off settings so if I can do it anyone can. I'll admit I'm jaded and I don't trust anyone with my 'stuff' but me.
  15. Wow is right! You certainly have a gift. They are very pretty.
  16. Thank you! I'll check that out. From now on I'm going to buy only from companies who say what metals are used. I hate to because they are more expensive but, I guess you get what you pay for. Plus, I have a bunch of beads etc. and I have no idea what they are made of or where I got some of them.
  17. Oh hell ya I want in on this. Let's see, we are going to be on a island. Hummmm. We are going to be wealthy. Island, water, beach, hot, nakid...I got it! I will be in charge of the Cabana Boys! I can teach them how to serve drinks, apply suntan lotion, towel dry us, give massages, hold our hair back while we sip beverages and eat fruit, etc. I can do this!
  18. Wow, thanks! I didn't know that was down there either.
  19. Anyone know if there is a test to do on spacers, beads ets.? In the Fire Mountain catalog they say what their base metals are. I just got a catalog from Oriental Trading company and they don't say what is in theirs. They don't tell on their website either. My first thought was probably stuff from China. My second thought was probably stuff from China with lead in it. :rolleyes2 I don't remember if jewelry from Michaels tells on their bags or not. I don't have any here right now. I really don't want to work with leaded stuff. More importantly, I wouldn't want to give it away. Also, if someone asked, I'd have to have a correct answer. I was wondering if a magnet would be attracted to lead? Anyone know? Of course I don't have a magnet in the house and I don't even know if I have any jewelry with lead in it.
  20. Beeeee-utiful! I admit, I was thinking round marbles too. Wondering how you would wick those little round marbles. :embarasse
