  1. O.K, thanks for all your help guys, i have come up with a short list Sugar n spice candles or sugar n spice candle creations Sweet tooth candle creations Gingerbread primitives Country Kitchen Candles ( or spelt Kountry Kitchen Candles) What do you all think- which one do you prefere? Thanks again.
  2. I have just thought since everyscent i carry is a bakery scent - how about: sweet tooth candle creations - any good? I was just so set on using Heaven Scent Candles or a varitation that everything else seems not right in comparison.
  3. I really like that one, will have a think on that one. Was dead set on having heaven scent candles, but as natt was saying if it would never be ranked in the search engines then i cant use it- would love to though? Would it work and still get ranked if i used something like Heaven Scent Candle Creations? Thats available as a .co.uk and .com, but i dont think it sounds right?
  4. I was thinking maybe gingerbread primitives, but also wanted the word candle in there somewhere. I do like primcastle too- but just not sure
  5. Thanks natt- i would really like the name heaven scent candles - but what you said makes sense. So it looks like i am back to square one, just when i thought i had finally decided. Oh well i am in no rush- will not actually have the time to built the site for another month or so. My wesite will have little primitive ginger men with hearts so perhaps i could incorporate this in to the name? Dont know how though?
  6. My Dad just jokenly suggested i use the name - candles r us !! As if i would lol
  7. Thanks guys At the moment think i am leaning towards Heaven Scent Candles, but i like prim candle creations too. If a name or similar is been used in the US would it stop me from using something similar in the U.K? Yvette i like primcastle creations too and if i had still been living in newcastle i could have used something like that as the georides are very patriotic. But now that i dont have to be in uni everyday i am living back at home about 45minutes south of newcastle Thanks everyone for your imput, keep them coming please
  8. Hi, After two years of testing and six months of selling locally and on ebay, i am ready to set up a website, but cannot decide on a buisness name I have been selling locally and in my ebay store as Heavenly Scented Candle Co. However now that i need to purchase a domain name and am from the U.K, so would probably have a .co.uk, i think having two co's in the address would be confusing? So i thought about shortening it to Heaven Scent Candles / Heaven Scented Candles Heavenly Scent Candles/ Heavenly Scented Candles What do you think? Or even something totally different? My candles are all primitive and bakery themed, and my webset is primitive candles with gingerbread men with hearts, so any suggestions to fit in with these would be welcome? Thankyou all very much
  9. Thankyou very much for the kind compliments, i actually think the candle looks better in the picture as you can't see the small inperfections in the decal. I couldnt actually get the decal to slide along of the backing paper, so had to peel it off which made it harder, any tips anyone for applying these decals?
  10. Hi, heres a forever pillar i made for a friends wedding. It look a lot of goes to figure a way to eliminate the bubbles coming out from the votive glass. And i dont think i sprayed the layers of acrylic spray thick enough before i out it in the water as it sumudged slightly. But my friend was really please withit, so pleased in fact that she cried!
  11. Some of mine already have a wick hole in when i bought them. I just put a wick pin through it. Take it out when set, then take candle out of the silicone mold and put a wick in then.
  12. There nice jars wick- should look really nice with soy in- i have been looking for a supplier of jars in the U.K, i like the primitive look- but all i can find is honey jars!
  13. Good idea- i will try that- going to redo it tomorrow- so hopefully second time lucky
  14. Lol very funny- actually i probably will be too :embarasse
  15. Thanks donita- was thinking that myself maybe pack it with the mould sealer i use to seal the wick hole? They werent actually that deep a few millimeters deep at the most by the 5mm wide but i want it to be perfect- its going to be for a friends wedding with waterslide decals on. Will remelt it tomorrow and give it a try
  16. Hi, i made my first forever pillar with a glass votive insert using 50/50 parasoy blend. Being from the U.K i cant get the plugs mentioned on here. I put the votive cup in the mold and put a long thin weight on top of it while i poured the wax- and left it in for about 20 minutes and repoured the hole it left. But after i poured the wax, lots and lots of air bubbles were escaping from out of the votive cup up in to the wax, so when i took it out of the mold, on the top of the pillar next to the edge of the votive cup, there where a few little dents which i presume were the airpockets? How can i eliminate these? Thankyou
  17. Going to attempt a votive forever pillar and then put waterslide decals on- for a friends wedding.
  18. You never know once you get your website set up, you may need to melt a large volume of wax- do you know if they do smaller versions - sounds a good alternative to a double boiler- where did you buy it?
  19. That would be so much easier if you could, i have got a clear acrylic spray to seal the paper before it goes into the water, can anyone confirm that you can use this? Going to try and make one this afternoon, as soon as my dad gets home with the weight he got someone to make for me at work, that i can put on top of the votive glass and remove once its set up a bit
  20. Thankyou everyone, it is just lettering i am going to put on a forever pillar for a friends wedding, so i might just try to laquer for this one. As wouldnt it be difficult to overdip a forever pillar with a votive holder in the top?
  21. Thanks - Its only a little bottle, so even if i poured in all out there wouldnt be enough to dip the full candle in to
  22. Hi, am going to apply a water slide decal to a pillar candle, i have an inkjet printer so know i have a seal the paper before i put it in the water - i have got some clear acrylic spray to do this. But after i have applied it to the candle do i have to seal it and what with? When i did a search it mentioned a spray, the candle supplier i used in the U.K sold me a bottle of candle laquer which he said you use to seal it afterthe decal has been applied to the candle? It comes in a plastic bottle but is just a liquid not a spray, is this suitable and how do you use it, or is a spray best? Thankyou
  23. I am going to attempt to make a candle with parasoy for the first time. I have previously only made parffin candles. It will be a pillar i am aking using my own blend of 50/50 straight paraffin and ecosoya pillar blend. I know tht with parrafin pouring temp is around 175 and soy is lower, but for a 50/ 50 blend do i go somewhere in the middle of the two for pouring temperture? Thankyou:grin2:
  24. Did you get this mould from Jo wick, i am sure she would exchange it for you if your still not happy with it, i have found her to be extremly helpful
