  1. I wish i could be of more help, I have only ever made this recipe HP so I am not sure what is going on either.
  2. Those are not the actual labels that I usually use. I printed them on regular computer paper because I am out of labels. I usually use thicker paper and a paper cutter to make them straight. They were put there more for a this picture than anything else. I have tried hangtags before but I do not have the patience to apply them. These candles are for a friend and she said she did not care because she is going to remove them anyway; infact, she did not even care if they had labels at all. Thanks for the feedback...you are all great. I am not even selling these for the Independence Day. I have not been selling much other than a few orders for friends. I have a lot of stuff going on with work and putting siding on my house and such. Thanks all.
  3. I fasten them with tape. -- the bottoms do get dinnged a little if you leave them plain, but I usually put shirnk wrap around the bottom of then unless they are supposed to be rustic.
  4. The one on the righ hand side is leaning, not because it is not even, but because I did not know that when I took the picture that it was setting on part of a catalogue. haha. I am going to have to put new lables because these ones seem to have bled a little and they keep sliding down because of this. I don't have anymore battery to take another picture and they have to go to their new owner tomorrow. Anyway, they are scented "Fresh Cut Grass" from candles and supplies.com. I renamed them "Mowed Down Grass".
  5. Thats awesome. Very Patriotic...perfect for July 4th.
  6. Scented with Peak's Warm Apple Pie. This is for one order. It is my best seller this time of year. Enjoy.
  7. Votives are probably not where you want to start. Is started with pillars but, I think containers are much easier to make. I love making containter candles. You do not have to unmold the darn things. Oh and, tealites are a PITA too, I hate making those.
  8. I usually use wick pins when I can. but I really like Candle Man's method.
  9. I freeze mine for about 10 mintues before I polish with a nylon, but they still are not super shiny.
  10. Christina, I love the colors. They are so beautiful, like you are!
  11. Why can't you just be "Bert's" alot of the most famous companies of our time have one name titles. I studdied media in college and took some classes on grpahic design so I can help you with your labels. pm me.
  12. I would go plain natrual soap, then dust with micas. I like natural better. But you can use paprika or tumeric or other things too to color soaps in a natural way. You can even add natural things like ground cucumber, and stuff like that to soaps to add color. I have even added real strawberries (purreed) to soap, it makes a beautiful pink. You don tneed to add a lot of it either. Just play around. note: I do HP soap, so my additives get cooked I do not know if that makes a difference or not since I have never done CP
  13. Well the label looks really nice.
  14. Those are so creative. I really love them. They would be perfect for my bathroom !
  15. I really love those. They look super hot.
  16. I have that flame mold too. I only used it once because I was having troulbe with the wicking, do you mind sharing what you wicked them with? Your candles are beautiful.
  17. Those are adorable. I have a friend who would drool over those!
  18. I would try a larger wick, then if you still do not get the burn you are looking for, then play with double wicking.
