Thankyou ladies for the great suggestions. So many things to think about. I definatly want to do candles to add to my soaps. I think I will start out with a kit from Michaels to get the feel of it. Then .... more questions. Friends are wanted me to start some bath baskets. So, thats my goal. I'm about ready for a new addiction anyway and Candles would fit perfectly. So, I'll be hanging around and learning from you and from my own mistakes. Hope you all have had a nice three day weekend. I guess I'll go over to the Soap thread for some new Ideas as well.

Hi there, I'm mamabird, been hanging around for a while but never posted. I am a soapmaker and everyones been after me to start making candles. What kind of candle do you suggest for a newbie? Votive, etc? Whats the easiest? Whats the best? What sells well? There's so many decisions. How about soy candles? They seem to be pretty popular. Where do I start? I guess right here, huh? And will soap scents work in candles as well? Looking forward to hearing from you.
