My hands down absolute favorite vanilla of all time is Bittercreek's Vanilla Bean Supreme!  It is the strongest and best vanilla I have ever had and is a best seller.  I pour pure soy candles and do para soy melts.  Always a winner!

Does it have that coconut undertone that a lot of vanillas do?

There may be some vapor left in the bottle 😢 Last time I was able to get this was not long after RE took over KY. I guess they had too many problems with this oil and just decided to drop it.
I have samples coming from a few different suppliers to compare. I used it as a mixer for a blend that my customers want me to bring back. If I can find the right baked cake scent I can make that happen.
So far everything I'm finding has too much cherry / almond , Patti Cakes was more of a deep baked yellow cake scent which made it perfect for blending.

I’m looking for that great yellow cake too!! Haven’t found anything yet

Hello everyone!  I have been searching the forum trying to see what some of everyone’s favorites are from Aztec.... A lot of what I have found is older, so I figured I would start a new thread/post about it.

Perhaps your top 10-15 FO’s?  Looking forward to seeing everyone’s favs!  😇

I don’t buy much from there but

blackberry and blackberry jam are great! Same with fruity pebbles

  5. Hi everyone! I have been wondering about adding crisco or coconut oil to my melts to kick up the throw and also make cutting them easier but mostly for throw. I currently use POB. Will this help or should I mix with something else? Also how much crisco per pound of wax? TIA!!

Received CS order today and OOB — TOTALLY agree with @RedRoomGraduate “autumnal volcano” for the peppercorn pomander...LOVE the peppermint mocha, and find the white currant interesting and think it will be successful. Also re-designed Fresh coffee smells same and cranberry marmalade is now cranberry apple marmalade....it’s different and will know how much different once it’s in wax...stay tuned. Everything will have to cure!

How’s the new cranberry marmalade? Is it super apple-y or any spice? Or is it just sweet and tart?

Fresh Baked Bread from Indigo Fragrance smells just like a soft pretzel from Auntie Anne's.. I absolutely LOVE it & get lots of compliments on how accurate it is!😍& They also have a Peanut Butter oil!

& For Cinnamon Buns, I agree- Indiana Candle! She has lots of awesome oils.. Sugar Milk, Zucchini Bread, Frosted Sugar Cookie, and more! I could go on and on she has lots of my go-to's!

And also.. Look what I just spotted on JustScent- https://www.justscent.com/pretzel-fragrance-oil.html Super excited to test that! It just went up within the past week!😍

Have you tested the js pretzel yet?

    Hi Belinda

Curious as to how the throw is for baking cupcakes and sugared shortbread? Thanks!

I just got a few in from them. I ordered some pina colada and it smells really good OOB. I was looking for something to replace Tennessee's and this one from Cajun smells great. I also got some more cream brûlée and banana nut bread. I think I like BNB from CS better but I'll have to do a side by side sniff and see but either way they're both good. I got a sample of orange cream cupcake which smells so good and hurricane daiquiri which also smells great OOB.

    Hope this helps!

@Trappeur, thank you for the vote of confidence! I always look at your suggestions and haven't been disappointed in anything I've tried that you suggested.

Did you try piña colada or orange cream cupcake in wax yet? Curious how they perform :)

I got my Pure order the other day. I just put the Orange you sweet in wax and it is amazing. It is the scent you get when ripping into the peel of a fresh orange, you can almost taste it in the back of your throat. The only drawback is the oil color is a very noticeable orange so no white candles with this one.

How was the throw for orange you sweet?

I use Cowgirl Lace for my vanilla and leather blend, Cowgirl Candy for strawberry and leather, Cowgirl Kisses for cherry and leather. For tobacco and leather I call it Maverick. Another one I call The Bunk House but I can't remember which one it is. I think it's one from Aztec. Oud Wood maybe. Then I've mixed cotton and leather and called it pistols and petticoats LOL! I googled old western movies and shows and used their names on some of them.

What leather do you use? TIA

Hi @Sebleo I agree with many of the suggestions that everyone has said.  Just to give you another opinion, I would personally suggest the following:

Lonestar, Blueberry Cobbler- This fragrance oil is a shining star in my wax!  Just perfect!  I do however agree with @Belinda that CS Blueberry Cheesecake is good also.  The difference that I notice with them is you can definitely detect more of the bakery note is the LS Blueberry Cobbler but with the CS Blueberry Cheesecake is more of a rich creamy blueberry.

Key Lime Pie-  Totally biting off of Belinda’s original suggestion here but woah.... YES!  Key Lime Pie!!!!  Both the Key Lime Pie FO’s that I have tried have been great!  Which are Key Lime Pie from RE & NG.  But my personal favorite is the one from NG.  It’s just so stinking creamy and powerful!  I know you said that you hadn’t had much luck with NG FO’s but I have tested this one in 2-3 different wax blends and it has performed quite nice in all of them.

Pure Fragrance Oils, Sugar Cookie-  Now I have tried maybe 9-10 different sugar cookie FO’s, including Sugar Cookie Royal from FB.  Prior to trying the Sugar Cookie from PFO, SCR from FB used to be my favorite, well that one and Sugared Vanilla Shortbread from CW.  Now they are both on the back burner!  @katmeltswax can also confirm this.  It’s is so darn rich & creamy and just overall an amazing Sugar Cookie!

FB Pumpkin Pecan Waffles or CS Pumpkin Soufflé-  I agree with @moonshine about having a pumpkin option.  And I agree with @Trappeurthat pumpkin is definitely a year round seller!  I’m definitely one that will melt pumpkin wax year round.  I ❤️ pumpkin scents as you can do so much with them too.  You can add it to coffee, bonfire or fireside, vanilla, sugar cookie, birthday cake, etc.... I just love pumpkin!  Oh and I too really like LS Drunken Punkin!  Such a nice FO!

CS Cinnamon Bun-  At first I was going to suggest an Apple Pie FO.  But if you get Cinnamon Buns, it will allow you to either offer Cinnamon Bun by itself or you can add a small percentage of an apple FO and create your own Apple Pie blend.

I also really like the suggestion from @GailCfor the Caramel Pecan Pie from Aztec.  It smells really nice!  Caramelized Pralines from CS is also great!  I have never tried it myself but I have heard great things about Aztec Black Strap Molasses that @aptommo suggested too.   Katmeltswax also loves that one and speaks highly of it all the time.  Anyhoo.... If you need anymore that we’re not mentioned just LMK.  I apologize for my 177 paragraph response.  😂  HTH!  😇💞

Marleigha - I went on the PFO website to get this amazing sugar cookie and I can’t find any sugar cookie. Has it been discontinued?

  13. Can anyone recommend a Hawaiian tropic FO that has good throw? I’ve tested NG and am not even smelling it. BA, VA candle and Aztec also have it, I would love to hear if anyone has tried from those companies!! Also searching for a strong coconut and piña colada! I make wax melts with parasoy. TIA!
