  1. I pulled my large bottle of CS Mistletoe out last weekend to test in my new 9 oz and 16 oz straight sided amber jars.  This was a favorite of mine when I first purchased it a few years ago but I had forgotten how fantastic it is.  One of the beautiful things about this FO, besides the wonderful scent, is the fact that you could seriously use a 3-4% FO load on this and be just fine.  That's a money saver.  The throw on this scent is crazy good--I can't do any other FO test burns while I'm testing this because it just works its way around the house and moves right in.  Hence the need for a low FO load.  I've never purchase another FO like this one---it's fantastic.  Definitely in my holiday lineup :2cents:

I am so proud of myself! I managed to get through the Candlescience 99 cent sale without ordering a thing. My therapist was happy too, he said maybe now they won’t have to put me in inpatient care. The only downside is I may have missed my chance to be featured on the TV show Hoarders.

    I'm a survivor as well-stay strong!

Yessss!!! I betcha it's so good!  I can't wait to smell the TPS.  I have 2# of Very Vanilla but I also have Vanilla Voodoo from CC.  But I'm now ISO of the best Vanilla Bean Noel.  Which I've been hearing is from WSP.  What VBN do you use?

VBN from WSP is amazing; I'm on test burn #2 which has been going since 5 am today!  It is a creamy and delicious vanilla--not over the top vanilla notes with a bit of caramel type finish on it.  I would NEVER use this as a blender since it is crazy expensive.  It stands alone.

Out of the Pumpkin Caramel Crunch & Toasted Pumpkin Spice the TPS sounded more appealing to me.  So I ordered the Pound size of that one and a sample of the Pumpkin Caramel Crunch.  So we shall see.  Thanks so much for your opinions on them.  Greatly appreciated!

I just poured a test candle with the TPS today and I added just a splash of Very Vanilla from CS; it rounded it out a bit.  I did an 80% TPS and 20% VV blend.  Smells wonderful without being too creamy since I just added a bit of the VV.

Okay @lightmyfire here is the description from Scentsy for Snowberry:

Snowberry Scent - A luscious blend of loganberry, strawberry, peppermint, and zesty cinnamon.

And then here is the description for  Snowberry from Bittercreek:

A luscious berry blend of loganberry and strawberry combined with cooling peppermint and zesty cinnamon.

I hope this helps you out a bit more in making your decision.  I'm going to be placing an order with Bittercreek and Snowberry is on my list.

Thank you!  Will you please update me when you receive your order?  Thanks SO much!!

    OHHH... Anyone tried the following:

    Bamboo & Coconut

    Amber Noir

    Egyptian Amber

    Cotton Tree

of these that I have tried in 6006 wax, my very favorites are Amber Noir and Cotton Tree.  I love anything amber so that's a no brainer for me.  I do like the Lone Star Mahogany Woods a bit better than this--more scent layers but this is great.  Cotton Tree is fabulous and doesn't smell anything like a clean linen scent--it's fresh and light and clean--love it

  7. Quick update--I received my Choc Chip Cookie FO from Aztec yesterday and poured a tester this morning.  Wowsers--it smells exactly like I baked chocolate chip cookies!!!  As a side note, I did read previous posts about using Paypal on Aztec which I did.  I have to say that I love how quickly they ship and how reasonable their shipping rates are.  I will use them again for sure.

My apologies on this, but I was wrong, it was actually the Pumpkin Chai from TFC that was really weak and unimpressive.  I have the one from CS on deck, we will see if that differs.  I went into my workroom, saw the half sample bottle from TFC, and thought "Shoot, wrong supplier!". :) My bad.

I've got a test of this FO from FC in CB Xcel wax (leftover from when I used soy--love this wax!) with a wood wick in a brown tumbler.  Once you add the wood wick as a factor it's hard to say whether a light scent throw is due to the wick, wax or FO or possibly all 3 together!  It is a nice fragrance--spicy but smooth.  I'm on 3 hr test burn #2 and so far it's pretty good.  I'll probably stick with my traditional favorite, Pumpkin Souffle (CS) but this may be a contender for another fall pumpkin option.

I am quite sure that Bittercreek sells a Scentsy Snowberry dupe.  It's actually a WYW FO.  I smelled  sample of this from a friend and I loved it but never put it in my own wax.  I agree with @ktaggard  I do not like the companies that sell the variety of strength FO's.  I think it's kind of an insult.  Of course we all want nice smelling & strong FO's.  So I just personally won't buy from them.  Everything I have purchased from BC is very very nice!  HTH!

I saw that Bittercreek sells this but the description sounds a bit off from what Scentsy's Snowberry smells like.  The cinnamon in the description doesn't sound right--I don't detect any cinnamon in the Scentsy fragrance.  Hmmmmm....

Could I possibly get some input about Vanilla Birch (WSP) versus White Birch (CS)....

Is there a difference between the 2 oils from these 2 different companies?

WSP is so darn expensive (twice the price of CS) and I have an order from a store for the WSP Vanilla Birch that she picked out, but I have to test it first to make sure it is going to throw.   I should never have let her smell this one!....

Now CS White Birch is hands down a winner for me as I have tested it and it's wonderful.

I would prefer to get CS White Birch if it was my choice.

Do you think I could get by and just use CS white birch and take a chance she will never notice the difference...????   I sure hate to do this subbing one oil for the other.

Has anyone used these 2 oils?    I use 464 too.

The same thing happened when she picked out Pumpkin Souffle from Fillmore.   I can't remember if that was a good thrower or what.

Now CS Pumpkin Souffle is awesome and I know it throws so well....

Now she never sniffed the CS Pumpkin Souffle - only  Fillmores....and I do have to place an order with CS.   I think I could get away with this one, don't you think?

God help me as the mad rush is on with these shops ordering Christmas now when summer isn't over or even Halloween not here yet.....

    Thankyou.

    Trappeur

I was wondering this same thing but I haven't ordered the White Birch yet, only the Vanilla Birch.  Based on the scent descriptions on their websites, I'd have to say these are probably vastly different scents.

    White Birch/CS:

Our White Birch fragrance oil adds a new layer of sophistication to traditional pine scents with vivid notes of eucalyptus, cypress, and tonka bean, creating a unique aromatic crispness. A fabulous choice for winter candle or soap lines, this scent also has year-round appeal as a luxury evergreen fragrance.

This fragrance is infused with natural essential oils, including fir needle, cedarwood, eucalyptus, patchouli, and cedar leaf.

    Vanilla Birch/WSP:

Quince nectar, mandarin zest and pear brighten a seductive base of sandalwood, birchwood and vanilla.

She may not remember what the VB smelled like so maybe try the switch?

You know I did have Caramel Tobacco and made them for apple orchard account and they did all sell quickly no problem but I just never reordered as it really wasn't my type scent, so I'll go and get another bottle of it.  I thought it was light at the time but it's been a while since I had it, but I'll get it again.

Yesterday I had the Smoked Vanilla (Flaming)  going all day and it is very nice!   I know you'll like it.  It's really weird, but I'm now getting requests for smokey scents...well I guess it's the rage!

Oh yea, I've got Chocolate Amber (Flaming) going now and you were right, it is a nice scent!  So thumbs up on this one for me to sell.

Good to know on the smoked vanilla-I have that one in my lineup ready to test.  Oob it's wonderful!

Why is finding decent, unique and affordable containers such a hassle?  It looks like some of the top suppliers would take notice and improve their selection.  Does anyone have any good sources?  Also, does anyone have a source for Matte Black Metal Tins w/ lids, preferably 6-8 oz. ?  I would prefer to order domestically to avoid international shipping.  Thanks in advance!

Besides the black tins, what type of container are you looking for?

How about Chocolate Chip Brownies from Moonworks that can be found at Fragrance Buddy.  I love it and use it.  I know Just Scent, Aztec, the Candle Makers store, Indigo Fragrance, Wellington and Natures Garden all have the Chocolate chip cookies scent so I hope someone who has used one of them will give you their thoughts.  Good luck!  Nothing like the smell of chocolate chip cookies.

Yes I saw there's a lot of choices for this fo!  I want to be really picky on this one so having real world experience will help a lot!  I was surprised how many companies off that scent. I will keep your feedback in mind-thank you!

  14. I was in a specialty cookie shop this morning and I noticed they sell candles.  After ordering my cookies I asked some questions about their candles.  It turns out they're not from a local company and they really want a chocolate chip cookie scent that their current vendor can't/won't provide.  I need recommendations for a fabulous cc cookie fo please!  I'd love to present one of my candles to this shop!
